The Giants are dying a slow painful death of 1,000 cuts

I Love Clams Casino : 11/23/2021 10:44 am
and the Giants are nearing the bottom.

Disheartened young fans, the "seeds" of an organization, and the farmer has forgotten to water, so they are dying in the ground.

There is sheer and utter hopelessness, not 1 year, not 2, not even 5. How many times can this organization beat it's fans over the head with a dead horse carcass of a team, before the fans move on?

This is not the 1970's. Hell, I'd argue that even in the 1970's, if the Giants were doing the right thing back then, there would be a LOT less Dallas fans here in the Tri-State, but I digress. This is the 20's of a new millennium, the instant gratification generation, and the old way of team ownership, team management is from a bygone era.

The Giants are too impressed with themselves.... with the old school, old man respect that has been lauded on the team from generations past. They consider themselves a flagship organization. I submit that this mentality, this idea of being a flagship organization, has transmogrified itself to the team, the players, the coaches, and has seeped onto the field. I submit that this "good guy" mentality versus a less hospitable environment gets into their heads. These integral parts know, that whatever "bad" happens that the Giants as an organization has their back. These "parts" are a tad too comfortable. Why shouldn't they be? It's nice here in Giant land.

Mara will again make a point that he's mad....and he will continue to make this point going forward. Again. and Again next year in 2022, at about game 4, then about game 12.....again. Then the following year in 2023, then the year after that 2024....nothing changes.....2025, 2026, 2027......

How can a team like Philadelphia get this so right when the Giants get it so wrong? Case in point - Philly who has pretty much admitted they are rebuilding, looks like a MUCH better team than the Giants do, with Jalen Hurts procured in the 2nd round, than the Giants look with the 1st round 8th overall pick, Daniel Jones.

What mentality drives that? What is it? Why can't the Giants get it?

I submit to you this. Based on the fact that there are many Giant players from recent history who are producing for their new teams. If you were to take a current winning team, lets take Arizona for instance, (uh Justin Pugh) and swap each player in an Giants uniform, for their counterpart on the Cardinals, and put them in Giant uniforms and move them all here........The Giants would still find a way to lose......We'd have Kyler Murray and his full supporting cast, but the Giants would still lose.

The team is clawing to the edges of a Giant (no pun intended) sinkhole watching the blue sky above them get slowly darker as the hole gets bigger and bigger.

Things are pretty hopeless right now. At least between the 2 Super bowl runs 86-90 and 07-12, there were some serviceable competitive teams that gave a fan hope....now there is just nothing but continued blackness.

Happy Thanksgiving to you too.

He has one job……Football Team Owner.

Sure, he fakes outrage at the end of the season, but where is he now.

If I were owner, I would be raging through the fucking locker room and coaches rooms.

He should be embarrassed by this complete group of clowns!
Fans are back (for now)

Just because their (great?) grandfather made a good decision 100 years ago and the NFL doesn't punish ineptitude as long as you don't embarrass the league, they get to keep on running a billion dollar business.
