Fucking do it.
The whole god damn thing needs to be gutted like a fish. Trade everyone you can this offseason, the return really does not matter.
We need cheap players and available money. We need lots of picks, no premium contracts UNTIL we have in place the recipe to compete.
Then, SPEND THE MONEY.
We are mired in a cycle of suck because we tear it down half assed every time.
Can't we be 3-7 and 50 million under the cap?
We aren't even talking about the good kind of suck.
Under discussed point. The Giants have a bunch of starters (as unremarkable as they may be) who are free agents, and lots of incumbents needing an upgrade.
The 2022 resources are bare, and with a deeper look 2023 isn’t great either.

Good, because we don't want you back.
Sorry, we didn't hire you because of your affair with David Sills
If we had moved on form Eli sooner rather later, traded down in 2018, not drafted Barkley and drafted Lamar Jackson, we would be in an infinitely better spot right now.
Terps wasn't shy about those things, he screamed about them.
Try and deny it.

Lamar Jackson I think it helps that he has the one OC who has a track record of making QB's like him look better than they are. He did it with Kaepernick and with Tyrod Taylor. Had we traded down and taken Nelson followed by Nick Chubb we would have been better off than Barkley followed by Will Hernandez.

Yikes. This is really cringey. Maybe try to be a better person in future posts?

Not in any way true. Guess the Maras stole the election, too, eh?
I buy that all day long.

why? Some rando on the internet as GM would make you sleep better for real?
The only advantage Gettleman has over any average Giant fan is his Rolodex, which I assume is actually a Rolodex.
The man is an absolute fool.

Again a Monday morning QB. Amazing how people always pick 2 of the best people that could have been drafted but were not when we play the what if games.
Not a dupe and not getting angry just stating the facts.

I think you misunderstood my post. I was not MMQBing. What I disagreed with was that we should have traded down and drafted Lamar Jackson. I do not think Lamar Jackson is the same QB he is now if he did not have Greg Roman as his OC. I merely mentioned Nelson and Chubb because we took a RB and OG early. I know we also had a lot of ties to Notre Dame and they had Nelson and McGlinchey on same OL. From what we know of the Giants draft board after Mayfield went #1 it was Barkley-Chubb-??? (I would guess Nelson based on the profile of player that DG likes. I don't think Darnold or Allen would have been in our Top 4.)

You being better than Gettleman isn't a reason to hire you. Why hire an amateur with a high opinion of themselves (you or Gettleman really) when you can bring in an actual GM from a successful organization?
Jokes aside, I don't think I'd advise GT to update his resume, but he's clearly been more right than Gettleman.
I wouldn't put anything past this group...

Could be a knock off. From afar it’s hard to tell.
Serious question: would the Giants be better or worse if we traded our whole draft to pick MC. The truth is, at a minimum, you kind of have to stop and think about that question. Don’t you? I think this team, as it is now, and assuming expired contracts aren’t renewed, would be three or four wins better w/ MC.
One thing is fairly certain, the Giants couldn’t be any worse by trading their entire draft for MC.
The mid 80s skins made a living off trading away picks year after year. Rams are now. Giants fielded their best teams over a 20 year period AFTER “giving up way too much for Eli”
Picks are valuable but so are difference makers. Just get it right. There’s more than one way to skin a cat but when you operate with this risk adverse mindset than the giants have adopted, you have this milk toast mess we see every year.
Gimme the Cowboys / Eagles / skins mentality any day over this shit.
