i wasn't logged on here last night so apologies if this was mentioned but i found this ironic
they asked parcells what he would do against brady. parcells was very simple in his answer. he would make sure he hit brady on the first drive (implied he wouldn't even mind a late hit just so long as they put a hit on him) and would try to disrupt the receivers at the line of scrimmage to make brady off rhythm
and right on cue the giants came out playing a soft zone and not even attempting to make brady uncomfortable
Arians is a very good coach and when he took the job he prioritized protecting Brady like all the good coaches do.
The more I watch this season the more I want the Giants to get rid of more players if that makes sense.
He was no nonsense and direct
I remember a press conference after a particularly bad game
Parcells identified the problems at the press conference, and called out the players and coaches. To paraphrase Bill he stated, I know what the issue is, I promise you this will never happen again and it will be fixed.
It was fixed and never happened again
Complimentary ....pure BS
Judge lied
Mara keeps notes of hot coaching candidates! Parcells was a great motivator but what he was exceptional at was identifying coaching talent and developing it. He also was a astute talent evaluator and had his system that he implemented at multiple stops. Tough, physical mobile line. Secondary players that can tackle. BIG FAST POWEFUL LB's. Belichick to this day wins with that blueprint with some modifications.
As Peyton said, all TB had to do was line up correctly, the Giants weren't going to stop them, only TB was going to stop themselves. I'm not going to defend Graham's gameplan, but this is a talent deficit, and most of us know who is responsible for that.
Either that, or the Giants were thoroughly defeated when they first came running out onto the field.
JB4 got owned all night.

Is he out there? And can this group of misfits in the front office find him?

You're mistakenly crediting Parcells with Belichik's accomplishments.
Often too busy worried about his receivers.
Often wondered why Patriots opponents, with crappy teams or records, didn’t just come after him every play to rattle him and challenge the conditioning of his OL for 4 Q, let alone good teams.
The Giants were the only ones with bals, and some talent.
And the second time he got hit and was looking for a flag and screaming at the refs, was just so expected.
The questions were set up not to neuter any position or player. I was disappointed. I thought they’d give him the opportunity to blast as he saw things.
