I've never been able to escape the feeling that the powers that be-Mara, John-pretty much forced Garrett on JJ. We all know the extent-and an absurd extent IMO-the Maras place on 'loyalty' & being a part of the 'Giants family'. Garrett is from Jersey, went to Princeton, & was our backup QB for a couple of seasons. Of course Mara meddling like this is completely on par with him as an owner.
Anyone else think the same?
If you are Judge in your first job and the owner with 4 SBs is suggesting this, would you say no?
Well the Mara’s do like having an “adult” in the room…
Judge was supposed to train the team on the basics...which hasn't worked well either.
The defensive plan SUCKED as bad as the offense, so not sure why Garrett is the only head to roll.
And Gettleman should be shown the door...right NOW
By taking so long he showed me something too.
I would wager to say a "gun under the table" like suggestion.
I don't think mandated but I think probably very strongly encouraged. Mara spoke very highly of the staff when they were hired and said he was very pleased with at least a couple of the hires.

I think it went down the way JonC laid out. By firing Garrett, Judge showed me something. Not a lot but something.

Agreed. Hopefully this turns the light on.
