Look I read the splits and get the improvements of the Browns. But he was the Tight Ends coach and had to jump in and call bunch of shit and hit on a run. Who the fuck is he to install something real that would change the direction of an offense. This is me is as big a joke as keeping Jason Garrett in place which was an OC for a decade.
So what would you do?
If the Giants have scored 3 points by halftime on Sunday, I'm willing to wager that you'll want Kitchens gone too.
So what would you do?
Oh I have no good answers. But many folks are celebrating, I am not sure why.

They're more happy Garrett is gone and that Kitchens has shown tendencies to call a more aggressive downfield game. The Giants have these plays in their playbook Garrett just called a conservative game 99% of the time.
It's the middle of the season, there aren't going to be major installs happening but if Kitchens can call a better game in the redzone and convert touchdowns that will make a world of difference.

Yup.
Could work out. Might not.

It can ALWAYS get worse.
This is my expectation to drive the point home. He is the scapegoat, replacing him does not make Jones more talented or the Oline block better.
That’s also why I wanted to see Glennon start a few games after DJ was injured v Dallas. Didn’t come to pass but I think that would have been helpful.

Freddie Kitchens now will take over the Giants’ play-calling responsibilities.

They scored 6 points in that game v Cleveland. McCoy was QB. They did have more yards than the week before v Seattle, but it was hardly an offensive onslaught.
I suspect you are correct. I'm not a fan of Garrett, but the problems run deeper than him.
No ER's worth a damn in a game facing the GOAT QB. Graham was merely picking his poison.
Designed plays to get our speed players in space.
You just run plays for 2021 not 1991
Stop running designed draw plays for 2 yards with a dancing RB when you know it's not working.
Maybe use presnap motion properly and not have toney getting a fake handoff before the ball is snapped
The list can go on, but I think you get the point. You will still have problems, this will not cure all but at least look like a competent team and maybe not lose due to incompetence.
They scored 6 points
graham has no linebackers, a mercurial secondary loaded with overpaid FAs, and a DL that is weaker for having lost homegrown talent in tomlinson and hill. the defense was middle of the pack last year. it is no surprise it is worse this year.

the offense was horrible last night. I think the Giants need to fire both coordinators, but more so Graham. Graham has been more of a disaster than Garrett. At least Garrett can point to a mediocre quarterback, terrible OL and multiple key injuries. What is Graham's excuse?

It's the 2/3 deep soft zone system - passive, time consuming, keeps you in the game longer. The WRs are too fast now, so this is the latest scheme to fight the high powered offenses. You either like or you don't - die by the sword or by 1000 cuts.
Others teams are also having issues implementing - PHL is one of them.
How about no competent edge rushers, line backers, corner backs, etc. The defense is doing as much as can be expected given the lack of talent. The big money and draft assets were spent on the offensive side of the ball. What is the offence excuse?

so? a loss is a loss. Let Daniel throw 4 ints and 4 td's at least it will be fun to watch! instead of 15/25 for 190 yds.
Maybe they can have OC by committee. I doubt it and I think someone has been given the responsibility. Stop playing games. Keeping it a secret just shows his indecision.
Regarding play calling. There are only 3 options. Kitchens is the only experienced one. Judge has proven that he is challenged as a HC and doesn’t need another responsibility. If he thought he could do a better job than Garrett, he should have taken over a month ago. Schlupinski would be an out of left field pick. He doesn’t really have any experience and hasn’t done a great job in his current role.
I had always assumed that the conservative offensive strategy were coming as much from Judge as they were Garrett due to the weakness of the OL. It will be interesting to see if we start to see a more vertical passing game under Kitchens.

Don't know why I laughed at this. It's not funny - even though it's true!
