These turnover streaks are just embarrassing. If you turn the ball over on a stupid pass you should be extra alert/cautious but instead they just seem to get dumber and dumber as the game goes on

for protecting the ball
Exactly ball security needs to be the number one priority at all times— turnovers are the way you lose a lead because it leads to easy points in transition. Sometimes It really feels like for the Knicks ball security is just a minor afterthought. It’s not the same as just missing a shot. It would be way better to just run shitty offense and miss shots but at least hold onto to ball because at least you can get back after a missed shot. You can’t get back on a turn over nearly as easily. Just stupid.
A 25-4 run between the end of the 2nd quartet to the beginning of the 3rd. I’ve almost never seen a 25 point lead get erased quite that quickly that was astonishing.

Didnt the Knicks do that to the Bucks a couple of weeks ago? 3 minutes to go in the 3rd they cit it to 10 and then with 8 minutes left it was 4
Obi must’ve gotten chewed out for the late close outs the other night.
I never say this, and it's not every night but watching the way this game was officiated from the 2nd quarter is why people say the officiating is rigged. I mean 3 times tonight Randle has been shooting and they call it on the floor, band they give Westbrick 3 fts for that shit? Then he runs on the inbounds and hangs onto Randle arm like a toddler and they call nothing.

I say this every game, it is so uneven, Lakers dont make their run without the refs at half it was 15 fouls to 5 for the lakers...
Noel, Mitch and Taj are backup fives in today’s NBA due to limitations offensively and durability concerns. Let Obi start with Randle, even if just for a few minutes each half - some early dunks will get the team and the MSG crowd going. When you run into teams with legit fives, go back to Obi strictly as the backup four.

I love Thibs but if it was any other coach i think Toppin would be starting at the 5..
I think Mitch needs to be traded for a more offensive minded center that can block shots..
Toppin and Randle are learning to play with each kther as well and it works
It's interesting I think if he was drafted by a shit team like Houston or OKC last year he'd have gotten more time and put up better offensive #'s but he's becoming such a better all around player in this situation.

Yep, that’s a good point….he’s come a long way in a lot of areas.
Not a whole lot of big changes to be made here - team is what it is. Let Obi take some minutes at the five and let IQ take some of Kemba’s minutes. That’ll improve us as the margins a bit.

eventually the depth will be consolidated in a trade and guys who are here for the long haul will get more minutes
Just keep at it. They do seem to play up (or down) to the competition. Knicks can hang with most they just need to figure shit out and find their identity.

Agree with this. There just isn’t enough of a difference on defense most nights to justify playing those guys over Obi. And you can build some killer offensive lineups with him and Randle as the bigs.
Good win last night. Westbrook has been bad but he was incredible in that 3rd quarter.
in the few minutes he was in. He's a maniac out there - stays in front of his man on the perimeter, calls out switches, recovers in time to contest threes - Thibs must love him. Hopefully Johnnie Bryant is in the lab with him working on some off-the-dribble moves, because he has the shooting and defense already.
there's one or two of you who may want to take a deep breath while watching. I appreciate your passion as fans, but you also need to recognize that the team can't play well every single possession.
Anyway, good to stack another win, we'll need it with this brutal stretch coming up. Are we gonna get any of our guys back soon?
Grimes does have dribble drive moves, but he's just not explosive/quick enough to get to the bucket, often needing to settle for contested jumpers. I hope he gets more minutes, but hard to see how with our depth and Thibs' style.
Grimes IQ and OBi should be playing majority of minutes

Fournier is literally their best player tonight

yup against every bad team this happens
literally wide open underneath the basket and cant catch the ball can we bring back toppin

its absolutely horrendous officiating..

Quickley was awesome in the 4th, you can tell he just loves when the game is on the line, it may not always fall but he is not afraid..
Toppin is a game changer when the Knicks go small, oppoising bigs cant keep up with him, he was killing the zone on the weak side..
Burks another great 4th, he is another clutch player

Without their best bench player the Knicks bench was fantastic..
Burks is looking like last year burks again and Quickley is looking better and better..
Toppin can be Amare if he continues to develop, he is a modern day big
