No shit he did hence why they will give Judge another year. Mara forced Garrett on him and since the offense is trash who is Judge going to point at? Mara’s blunder
But interesting that he didn’t mention Judge by name. Indicates Judge isn’t one of his faves right now.
Dont get that. I mean, when I was laid off a few years ago, I made sure to thank the person who swung the axe and lavish them with praise on my way out the door.
Garrett seems like a nice dude & a hard worker, but his offensive mindset is from another decade. And granted he wasn't given a ton of talent either, but DJ regressed under him.
Garrett may be disappointed but he is probably better off
Now let me read between the lines and interpret what Garrett is saying:
I know what real NFL talent looks like and this offensive roster putrid. So I apologize for not being able to repair the unrepairable.
Your constant defense of Garrett has gone off the deep end. I’m beginning to think you are Mrs. Garrett. Which would explain many of your stances…
I answered this nonsense on the other thread you brought his up.
I am agnostic on Garrett. However, he was basically being asked to be a wildcatter and drill for oil where there is zero chance to find any.
It’s funny though. When it comes to Daniel Jones, according to you there is plenty of talent on the roster. High priced free agents, high draft picks, etc. The team went out of its way to make the situation as ideal as possible for him. You’ve sId this many times. So why is your evaluation of the offensive roster completely different when discussing Garrett? Now there is apparently no NFL talent on it? That’s the issue. As much as you like to repeatedly say “chicken salad…blah, blah, blah” about the QB position, the exact same should be expected of the OC. It’s his job to get the most out of the players on the roster. Put them in a position to succeed. He failed miserably at that.
Mara is very sentimental, family oriented and Garrett was a family favorite. I do recognize that Mara is loyal, almost to a fault. Its a nice way to manage a company...if it's successful. Now its panic time
Unless there was real tension between him and Judge he should have been kept on in name until the season is over. His responsibilities could have been transferred without embarrassing him.

BigBlueShock - you're such a dink with this post. But with FMIC gone, I guess somebody has to pick up the slack and be the daily chucklehead on the site.
while he was OC he had to go. If Judge had no say in him being hired then maybe Mara learned a lesson? Gettleman should have been fired today as well. Epic failure by that putz.

That's what cracks me up!
Garrett? No talent on O, so he gets a pass. Can't make chicken salad out of chicken shit
Jones? No talent on O, but that doesn't matter - he should still be a MVP level QB who makes chicken salad out of chicken shit!

colombo's remarks after getting fired were much more interesting.

Sheesh.....

Exactly.
And in the process fucked up Judge's vision and created the same cloudiness in evaluating Judge as they did with Daniel Jones.
Restart the clock on Judge. He is owed having his own guys to give him a real chance.

This is true also.
Both he and the talent sucking are true, but he was making it further difficult to evaluate the offensive talent with the way he ran things.
He may not have done a good job but not really sure he could have...

If you subscribe to the operating theory Jones has all the talent and skill, then this offense has plenty of talent to be successful.
If you don’t subscribe to that operating theory, like I suspect BW doesn’t, then the Giants are in a talent deficit.

Thanks for stepping up...
That statement was a bunch of politically correct BS
He made sure not to mention Judge and to praise Mara
Meanwhile his horrific play calling just about bagged this season
Im getting old, I cannot wait for incompetence to clear out
of the building
IF you get another job, dont apologize for anything- just DO YOUR JOB
