He was in a shallow cross apx. 5 yards from scrimmage when Jones threw to the Tampa Defense linemen…interception! It wasn’t his ball so on the replay I saw 41 crossing right to left. But no where near the play.
Myarick looked to be in the right place. The wide angle showed a huge hole in the shell zone, he was wide opened and poised to have a nice gain. Jones turned and threw it in a very bad spot obviously, but Myarick was in position to make a nice football play.
Jones to Myarick play that was intercepted. You guys do know that Jones was hit while throwing, right? BBI stupidity.
He should have taken the sack. Obviously it was a play where DJ thought Myarick was going to be in a different place. It was a Garrett special. Probably practiced one time for all those involved.

If you watch the play Golladay was wide open right in front him, maybe 5 yards on the side he was rolling too. When the rusher came free the smart thing to do would have been to forget the play (which takes time to develop) and just dump it to Golladay who was likely there as an outlet. Brady had almost the same situation a few series later. Saw the free rusher, forgot the play and just dumped it to the outlet for a 5 yard game. Easy peasy, not falling backwards throwing across the field. Its dumb things like this that continually get Jones in trouble

Not sure what the Lions were doing on third down at midfield. More than 30 yards for a first down, but 15 gives you a great chance at a FG.
