Seems like a fucking meathead to me. But I don’t follow this team too closely. I kind of wish I had gotten into coaching pro football. The hours and lifestyle are brutal but it seems like a lot of morons get to the top.
Goes to show you how having a talented team around you makes a difference. He was a lot better when on the Rams.
Coaching too. I guess Goff on the Rams is what people are thinking for Jones. Put Jones with McVay and the Rams and he would absolutely be better. Still don’t think he’d be a Supe winner. But yeah, with a real coach and a real line he’d be better. Couldn’t be any worse at least.
Do they debate his ability the way we debate Jones?
I can’t imagine they are happy with him or think he is a long term answer. They are probably debating how best to get out of his contract.
I was browsing through articles on the Athletic a few weeks ago and I came across an article by the Lions beat reporter that was written after the Lions Steelers game. I went down to check out the comments section because that is ALWAYS entertaining after a loss, or in this case a tie. Best way to put this is...well, take all the negative comments that you have either read or made about Jones, multiply the vitriol by about 10...thats about the Lions fans feelings on Mr Goff. I remember thinking at the time that I had never seen a fan base so down on a player. Our feelings on Engram, Jones, CC Brown, whoever you want to mention, dont even come close. I know he had an awful game vs the Steelers, but man...
Don't somehow have a first down with a lead in field goal range and then 3 penalties later turn it into a first and 30, and eventually 4th and 31 at midfield.
It's scary how much watching the Lions remember me of the Giants, same problems, unimaginative/scared playbook on offense, terrible 3rd down defense, etc.
Personally, it's sad that my country's (known for being the biggest soccer country) lone representative in the NFL is Cairo Santos, a kicker with a very weak leg. I mean, I've kicked longer field goals just for fun.

Yea I was thinking that too lions look like giants. But their hc took over the playcalling three games ago.
The playcalling got worse after they took it from the oc
In fairness, it sounds like they took it away in week 3, after at least one good offensive performance. I don’t know the situation; but sounds like Campbell is a meathead
Do they have the lions on their schedule again, that would guarantee a 5th win. And they play the Giants, that would make for at least 6 wins. That first round draft choice picked up looks like it is getting worse and worse.
Instead of Toney, who cannot stay on the field and a draft choice getting worse by the game, they should have drafted Parsons. They would have an actual pass rusher. Plus Dallas would not have him. I don't think Dallas would have made that trade with the eagles if they thought they would lose Parsons to the Giants. It would serve them right if the Giants would have taken him.
David Gettleman gambling on yet ANOTHERE red flag injury prone player is par for the course in Toney. I dont want to ever hear anyone put Reese and DG in the same sentence. You all thought it could not get any worse then Reese, well here you go.

After the D captain relayed the head pat D call.
After the head pat call again by the D captain the CB leaves the receiver uncovered.
How do you do that?
Not even the Giants would do that.
Of course, letting the red head escape 2x on the drive is….never mind
How much more impactful 2 all-time greats Barry Sanders and Calvin "Megatron" Johnson would be remembered if they hadn't had the horrific luck of playing for that franchise. Coincidentally, both left in the height of their primes
blew it. They shouldn't have called or granted the consecutive timeout knowing it was illegal. Then Chicago would have scored and at least the Lions would have had the ball back and a chance to score.
I guess they'd earned their 0-9-1 record. And like some Giants' fans, there will be people saying that the Lions were competitive and lost by only 2 points, rather than admitting that they suck and blew a game they could have won.
Thanks guy!
Their defense which has looked good at times this year isn’t even trying lol
Inept they should have just hail marry right there, what is the difference.

That’s totally fucked up.

Hi BigBlueJ,
They are 32 yards away from a 1st down, but only 15 away from a field goal. You think they shouldn't even try?

Not sure what the Lions were doing on third down at midfield. More than 30 yards for a first down, but 15 gives you a great chance at a FG.
I'm used to it. It like watching the Giants.
Exactly. Watching Detroit's OL is like watching the Giant's OL

+1
Hopefully this one

Draft picks? I thought we felt bad for them

Unfortunately it appears the Lions are about to lose in total Giants-esque fashion via last second kick in the balls FG
How do these guys get paid to coach?
No! Watching Detroit embarrass themselves on Thanksgiving is a yearly tradition tried-and-true! 🙂

Like when Judge try to challenged after a TD...
God help our teams
It could still get worse.

Giants can’t get a break all season long.
Oh, well… bring on the Eagles.
