I’ve made it clear I would not move off Judge, but I also know it could happen. Breer was on periscope taking a Q& A last night and made the point that most of the candidates this year will be retreads. So, if Mara does move off Judge the names will include:
Doug Pederson
Josh McDaniels
Raheem Morris
Todd Bowles
Vance Joseph
Just something to keep in mind for everyone who wants to move off Judge.
And if you are of the belief that Garrett was strongly suggested to Judge as OC, you would think then that Judge deserves the opportunity to put out on offense more of his own vision with a guy he hired like Kitchens for the rest of this year and whoever he decides to hire after that.
Agreed.
He should have kept that chip, and cashed it off season if needed to save his ass.
He should have kept that chip, and cashed it off season if needed to save his ass.
He can’t lose the team though, and I think that’s why he cashed the chip now.
The mistakes he made are ones you can learn from. I think he would be a great choice.

From the reports the players were getting tired of Garrett, he probably had to jettison him now to keep from losing the locker room.
Maybe Joe Brady, too.
And Matt Eberflus will be a very hot name. Plus, if the Bucs make another deep run, Leftwich will get a lot of attention.
Absolute bullshit if Gentleman is allowed to retire. He should be summarily fired for gross incompetence.
Right now I think both DG and Abrams get fired and that will be PAINFUL for Mara to do.
Mara will rationalize the big decisions since Abrams been at the big kids table have gone better.
That’s my thinking. If he loses the players then it’s not really salvageable. If they fight for him he will get that third season.

Judge short leash.

I don’t care how he goes. Just get him out the door one way or the other.
Now we have Giants fans that want him to be head coach. That's cool.

I don't understand how any Giants fan could want that turd Pederson as our HC.
To me the tide of change engulfed Garrett, will engulf Gettleman, may engulf Jones, probably doesn't get to Judge.
As I said at the end of 2020, 2021 is a disaster and Judge is coaching for his job in 2022.
Unless they fall apart...Judge stays. Tomorrow is an important game
Let’s say the next GM is in his 40’s, I guarantee you Mara is hoping this person will be in the role for 12+ years. So, what is the harm for this new GM to evaluate the roster and Judge in 2022? Next year the team is cap strapped anyway, then any changes can be made in 2023.
Also, maybe a more attractive coach shakes loose after next season if Judge has another poor year.
I can't think of a single reason why Judge should be kept around.
2) The Giants can no longer hand the job to Abrams. The GM position as far as i kjnow has the same Rooney rule attached. The Giants must interview outside minority candidates.
The Giants would need to fire DG (possible the day after the season ends) start the interview process for GMs…hire one, Then have that GM start a coaching search? The odds on that working out seem low.
I can't think of a single reason why Judge should be kept around.
So your opinion is that DG has brought in good players but Judge hasn’t coached them well.

A game and were practically begging Doug Pederson to not fuck the Giants out of the playoffs on national TV? And then he did. Called him a quitter, his players would never forgive him, etc.

I don’t care if he tanked a game. I want to see the Giants win some games and be relevant again. He’s a better coach than Judge.
He should have kept that chip, and cashed it off season if needed to save his ass.
If we see a big ;improvement offensively in the second half, then JJ is a lousy coach for not making the move sooner, right?

I’ve been thinking this, too. Judge either made an unforced error or the heat within the team has become irresistible.
Another thing I’m worried about is that it, in Garrett’s comments about the OL last week, he didn’t mention Peart as part of the solution. That’s another sign that Peart really isn’t promising.
The tanking bothers me less than him not being a very good coach: he turned into a pumpkin once Reich left (and took the offense with him). "Better than Judge" ain't saying much these days.

$200 million on free agents, another top 10 draft choice, and this is the result? I would take any of the guys on that list over this clown any day.

If nothing else, he was part of the self-delusional cabal that thought this was a playoff team worthy of a couple of hundred million in free agents to put them over the top.
It would not bother me at all if Jawn sent him packing back to NE another failed Lil' Bill assistant who was unable to channel the Master.
daboll should be at the top of every list
after him i'd lookd at the following guys
joe lombardi
kellen moore
