Just came across this album today that apparently was released on Halloween. I have seen critics blast it, but I honestly really like it. Felt like I stepped back in time to my college days in the late 90’s-early 2000’s.
Curious to hear the thoughts of other LB fans from back in the day on this one.
So yeah, Limp Bizkit has great music, even if Fred Durst can be a clown (although he's an integral part of what makes them work).
As for the new album, the first two tracks are great (Wes is shining), but there is wayyyyy too much boring, slow, filler bullshit on it. They should have went balls to the walls and given the people what they want.
Nobody is signing up to hear a Limp Bizkit acoustic song in 2021/2022.
That being said, there are a few tracks on there that are awesome, including some of which break the mold of what you'd expect from them. But the slower songs are just taking up too much space and are super generic.
At best Limp Bizkit were a bunch of infantile clowns with a guitar player that was "innovative" in a genre that required very little ability.
Not so flattering comments about Limp Bizkit - ( New Window )

It might blow your mind, but people can like multiple different genres of music. I'm glued to WBGO all day, Dexter Gordon and Art Blakey are two my favorite artists of all time -- and I still think Wes Borland is an incredible fucking guitarist.
Also, the guys in the band are all pretty self aware about what they are and where their band stands in music history. Thank god they lean into it instead of taking themselves too seriously (you know, the way you are).
You're barking up the wrong tree here, and just look like an elitist dumbass. Plus, its clear that you don't like this genre of music so why even waste time commenting? Why don't you tell me about your favorite Detroit Techno DJs while you're busy commenting about shit you don't know about
It really is funny ain't it? Lol. These older generations love crying about millenials more than anyone complains about anything. People literally 10 years older than me thinking they lived such an interesting life.
Bitch asses.
