Against 90% of the QBs in the league, we lose this game. The INTs he gave up throwing into double coverage and his inability to pass on that last drive is what saved us today.
I agree he isn’t good but the last drive he hit 2 guys right in the hands and they dropped it. 2 passes that should have been caught and both game winners
3 picks
Another 2 or 3 near picks
4 targets, 2 catches, 22 yards for Devonta Smith
3 targets, 1 catch, 0 yards for Dallas Goedert
And with all that being said it’s sad to think if Reagor wasn’t wearing a giants jersey underneath his eagles jersey he catches 1 of the 2 dropped passes and we loose. Great day to be a giants fan I tell ya.
He's not a passer. He could have easily had 3 more picks excluding the one that Reagor bounced to Love. Had they played academy ball today they likely win. That said his receivers failed him on the last series. He threw 2 TD passes Reagor dropped
at passing the ball.
Thankfully eagle coaches are as bad as the Giants coaches and had him pass on that 4th down and other critical plays.
Because the Giants D wasn't stopping the run.

What I'm emphasizing is that Hurts is not targeting his top two receiving options. He threw 31 passes and only 7 of them were to his #1 WR and the TE they just paid $59 million
The Eagles killed the Giants running the ball and they should have just continued running the ball.
Every time they passed something bad happened.
Can you imagine the outroar from BBI if Jones had thrown three interceptions. Two in the endzone ?
Hurt's did this with little pressure. His plays were poor judgement and bad ball placement.
Right in his WRs hands, who dropped it. He ran well and threw very poorly, but he did what he needed to come away with a win. Reagor cost them the game.

After three picks and a few others that should have been, it is a stretch to say he did what was needed to get the win. No, he cost them the game early on.

If the Eagles ran the ball every play in the 2nd half, they would have won

Spot on. Hurts made some horrible decisions today.
But he put two passes on the money that last drive that would have likely been game winners.

But bw says he’s LJAX lite!
Lol
More like Kordell Stewart lite.
And that's VERY lite. Kordell Stewart gashes the Giants if he in his prime and playing for the Eagles today.
Eagles have scored a lot of points the last few games (70 in the last 2 before they faced the Giants) so they're going to have to give Hurts some time to work through it, but if he plays like he did today, they should have an open competition next year between him and Minshew (who might be better).
Wentz should still be the QB there. If they committed to him and didn't play round 2 of "Let's Fuck with our QBs Psyche" they'd be a lot better off.
You have people here lauding Philly for trading wentz but that entire situation was a disaster for them. They gave up tons to draft him, then signed him then traded him, all in like 3 years!
to improve his accuracy, decision-making, reading coverages. Hurts may develop into a good QB but he has a long way to becoming a complete QB. One of the Eagle coaches should also introduce him to his tight end, Goedert.

And yet, when jones makes perfect passes that get dropped or - in the case of Engram - get tipped up for easy INT’s, you never cut him the same slack.

Didn't the Eagles trade up to draft Reagor? At the least I remember the pick being considered a big reach in the first round where they picked him.
Hurts was terrible all game. If Im Philly I just run him non stop. But at the end, Hurts was ready to rip the guts out of Giants fans with two easily catchable balls to Reagor.

We also dropped an INT to end the game, so there's that. Hurts is going to make some good throws, all QB's do. His problem is that the rate they happen isn't all that high. There's a reason why he scored most of his points in the 2H and 4th quarter specifically - the games are usually closer in the 1H and opposing defenses aren't playing prevent yet.
how some of you like to cope with things like this. Last week Hurts was clearly better than Jones. Now we need to reconcile that the only reason NYG won was because Hurts......sucks.....
He had other passes nearly picked. The Crowder pick was really brutal.

Their rushing offense was on a historic run going into that game and they still ran all over us
BBi is weird.
