Placement. Too often he has his arms out wide and it will invite holding penalties and leverage issues.
AT is still hurt and has adjusted his play to focus more on technique than athleticism. He clearly stated that in his last presser. I still find it fascinating that a 300+ lb lineman with two lower feet/leg issues would even man up like that to help his team. You're right, he's holding his arms out wide in compensation because he knows he can't move as quickly side to side right now. Gets beat once a game because of that. But geez, just look at his overall performance -- he's still the best OL on the team and would potentially be a Pro Bowl candidate with enough games.
we're on the subject of the o-line how much worse can Martin and Bredeson be than Skura and Hernandez? The interior has been awful
Martin isn't ready yet and most likely won't be at all this season. He's still getting into game shape. He's a project more than anything. It'd be a huge boon if he turns out to be a starting quality player, but it won't be this season.

Gotta play Peart for the rest of the season ... even if worse than Solder.

You are thinking of Wilson.

Not sure how he always seems to play every week.

Agree. Even if Peart is bad, at least there is upside. Solder is as good now as he will ever be. He sucks.
