Up this game I kept on hearing about how hot of a team the Eagles were.. yet we beat them.. the play calling looked much better to me despite the outcome of the plays.. I’ll be curious to see how the offense develops over the remainder of the season..

the Eagles is nice, but my takeaway is that I think we're on the way up and they are maybe treading water. What's not to like?

Of the anti defense win ugly bias here and all over the NFL. Win 38-34 and you’re beautiful. Win 16-0 and the sky is falling.

Not every game needs to be a referendum. Just shut the fuck up and enjoy a win against Philly and worry about the state of this franchise and qb another day.

These are the games that get you to 9-10-11 wins. Not saying the giants will do that but you have to win ugly games like this.

Feeling good about win over Eagles

I think some have such distain for Jones, Judge, Mara, Gettleman, they can’t enjoy an ugly win against a team that has had several ugly wins against the Giants.

Reading the comments after the game here made me wonder exactly what the reason is that I even go to this site. Its just an bottomless pit of misery...same shit every day...win or lose...DG, OL, Jones, Mara, SB, rinse, repeat for the past 4-5 years. Not even a win over the EAGLES is enough to stop the whinefest. I guess im weird, I still like to root for my team and am happy on those rare occasions when they win a game, and I dont give a flying F if the reason they win is because the other team played worse. Who cares.....more games are lost in this league than are won, and today the Giants didnt lose. But you sure wouldnt know it here. Good thing there is no $$$ charge for this site cause if there was id be outta here in a second today.

Exactly! I'm much happier the Giants won, regardless of the circumstances. I keep hearing we should've lost because of dropped balls by the Eagles or other reasons. Maybe the NFL can change wins and losses to should have won or the other team beat themselves. That gives us a couple more wins against the WFT and Falcons!

An ugly win is still a W in the records. The key is that they won as a team - ugly is OK. There will be games like this and I'd rather they come away with a win than looking pretty but losing. At least it is a step forward and gets them used to the idea that games against division rivals are winnable. They are not a championship team by any stretch of the imagination (or even close) but the first step is to become competitive and squeak out wins when not hitting on all or many cylinders.
