very thing this morning. I think last years 7-9 record shows how great a coach BB is, considering he had Cam Newton as his starter. Newton is positively done and showed that yesterday vs the Dolphins.
They showed a stat on GMFB (a stat shared Sunday by a New England beat reporter) that showed all the years under BB that the Patriots have had 6 plus sin streaks. I believe there were 15 years that BB has had the Patriots on 6 plus game win streaks. That is crazy to think about!
everyone shitting on Belichick after Brady won the SB made such little sense. The opt outs, having Cam Newton, and recovering in general from 20 years of Brady is a monstrous task. That defense is firing on all cylinders and allowing the running game to shine. Jones is playing his role perfectly.
That said they've had a joke of a schedule so far. If they win 2 of the next 3 I'll be impressed (Buffalo, Indy, Buffalo).
He has a rookie contract to beef up the roster. I really hope Judge looks at what that team has. Outstanding LB's. Really good DT, two way TE. OL interior line built with later picks. Multiple capable RB's who can pass block. Interestingly most don't even know their WR's.
Top it off with a smart, big pocket passing QB whose strength is his processing ability.
The old-school run game and efficiency at (rookie) QB is always a good watch.
So is Matt Judon. Talk about what folks on BBI have called "a difference maker".
Chris Simms did a good piece during his last 'WTF happened' segment to show some instances of great defensive plays and why they choose the players they do. The play that comes to mind is Ja'Whaun Bentley blowing up a run play where Joe Bitonio is pulling and the 260lb inside LB takes him on at full speed and makes the tackle in the backfield.
It's a damn shame he never roamed the NYG sidelines as Head Coach.
This had me thinking, does any franchise boast the number of coaches who served only as coordinators before moving on elsewhere as quality/all time head coaches?

Lombardi, Landry, BB, Payton, Fox.
Marty Schottenheimer was also a former Giants defensive coordinator.
make a list of players we could have drafted and didn't

It seems like the "see, it was all Brady" narrative may have fallen apart.

They made Nate Solder a functioning LT on a Superbowl team. That might be one of BB's greatest feats.
Let's see how they do against the good teams.
TN is actually a good win but that team is reeling now without their run game.

They didn't gave AJ Brown and Julio Jones too.
