Sounds like you mean QB coach
Nonsense

We need to help Cutcliffe find a job at the amateur level so we know who to draft at QB next.
On the surface this seems to make sense

But, Cutcliffe didn't really yield great results from Jones at Duke with sub-par players around him. He turned into a first round prospect due to his Senior Bowl week and the scary words "potential" and "ceiling". There wasn't a ton on film to say he was certain to be THE guy.

I still see flashes of that talent, but not consistently. I'm not sure Cutcliffe makes a difference there other than maybe providing Jones with a comforting face.

Wasn’t even good under Cutcliffe, why would it help in the NFL?
We already have too many "consultants" on this team
ZogZerg : 11/29/2021 10:42 am : link
..
He's going to move back to Oxford
FranknWeezer : 11/29/2021 10:51 am : link
where his son is HC of the local public HS and he has umpteen grandkids within reach.

Now could he consult remotely? Maybe.
I can assure you
AcesUp : 11/29/2021 10:54 am : link
that this exact thought occurred to John Mara the second he heard the news.
I’m sick of hiring people with previous ties
MtDizzle : 11/29/2021 10:57 am : link
No thanks. DJ is what he is, average at best. Giant fans deserve better.
Cutcliffe already had Jones for four years...
EricJ : 11/29/2021 11:01 am : link
and he molded him into what we have today. Why do we want more of that coaching or involvement at this point?
