Haven’t seen this mentioned but on the Holmes INT if Shelton has any football iq he would have blocked the incoming OL who has a clear shot at Darnay. Instead Shelton decides to stare down darnay and jog towards him. Every other defensive players is looking upfield except for Danny Shelton. He allowed his teammate to get lit up and ultimately injured. Just another play where Shelton sucks.
eh, I don't think he caused the injury. But his slow trot to Darnay + the pile-on at the end didn't help

I wonder why.
Not trying to be a dick but if they didnt have him who would be playing Center right now ? Sakura (sp?)?
what else is new.... every damn game
I wouldnt trade Danny Shelton for Billy Price

Or Spencer Pulley. He sucks just as much as Price, but we'd still have Hill, who doesn't suck.

There was not one valid or rational reason to make that switch, Gates was playing reasonably well, certainly not a disaster, and Price had a slew of ???s, you had other LG candidates.

I'll have to re-watch the play, but my immediate reaction was the two actually collided with each other.

I love watching him belly flop on the pile at the end
However, it was possible he could have altered the play with effort to block and perhaps we aren't looking at Holmes being out. It looks like he was trying to tackle Holmes and missed. I have no idea what he is thinking.
Let's see if the king of accountability decides to keep him in the lineup. Everyone is accountable, except the HC with timeouts, or the right tackle who simply can't play, or EE who reverted to EE yesterday, and now Shelton. Also, I have no clue as to why Price started initially instead of just replacing the LG.
You are right.
It’s pretty clear the organization lacks an ability to evaluate its own talent.
I don't see it.
I don’t think anyone would argue with you there. Billy Price fucking sucks.
"What option do we have?"
I was told the same when we signed Nate Solder. I thought that was a bad move.

This also goes back to a drum I've beaten about depth on the OL. The Giants completely ignored it. It was one thing to say they are rolling the dice on Thomas-Lemieux-Gates-Hernandez-Peart/Solder. But, they had no legitimate depth anywhere on the OL before Lemieux got hurt. Then when he did get hurt, they ignored it until the eve of the season. It as if they just assumed he will be healthy and they'd be fine. So within a couple of weeks they needed LG replacements and then were forced to find an OC replacement when Gates got hurt because they had NOBODY competent ehading into the season.
Giants were desperate at that time and I don’t think Skura had been made available. The fact that they were desperate is a different issue.

It’s why nobody from this front office deserves to earn a paycheck or survive a necessary purge.
Abrams, Pettit, Koncz, Sternfeld, and pretty much anybody else involved in the college scouting, pro personnel, self evaluation realms needs to go.

Solder I knew was a bad move.

Skura (Google?)?
Then who would play the other OG spot? It's not like Skura (Google?) is waiting in the wings; he's also starting right now.
He played for the Patriots, ever. That might also be why Solder is still starting at RT.

So re-sign Spencer Pulley. He was a FA at the time (and is now too).
Me neither

I would have kept BJ Hill and Jon Harrison. They cut Harrison and I thought he was better than Price by a lot. I know they brought him back and he got hurt, but I was shocked when they cut him on the last cutdowns. Especially when you look at what we got for losing BJ Hill. We could have kept Gates at Center, Harrison as backup, and BJ Hill on the DL rather than than the ghost of Dan SHelton.
