The Eagles had one last gasp, though. And before the fourth down, Smith went over to coach Nick Sirianni and requested a play in which he would be the No. 1 option. The rookie’s animated gestures suggested he really wanted this to happen. “He wants the ball in a critical situation like that,” Sirianni said. Smith didn’t get it, Reagor did, and he dropped it. |
Kind of takes the sting away a little with Smith.
Now if Toney can become a star.....and we actually do something good with Chicago's first rounder next year, I will be smiling wide to all my Eagle fan buddies.
But Hurts still has to get him the ball and Bradberry could have made up some time depending on the throw.
The universe owes us a few of these games, if you ask me.

Like I mentioned on the other thread.
And neither are our 2022 #1 and #4 draft picks.

one because of an offsides on a FG, and one because our own WR dropped a catchable TD, I'm really not going to sweat it that we probably won yesterday only because Hurts missed a wide open receiver and Reagor dropped a gimmie TD.

OK, that made me laugh
I think I convinced myself that it would happen so much that I was actually surprised it didn't.
For once the football gods were on our side
Be thankful
And it was not an easy catch, it was a wobbling duck and high
Would Smith have snagged it....probably but it wasn't his to try for
Personally I thought our missed FG would eventually be our demise

It was high and it was a wobbly duck (although Reagor should have had it). There were four Giants in the area, I am not really sure how nobody made a play to front him or for the ball themselves. Just a weird play.

I know I could not believe my eyes as the ball slithered to the ground
then again our kick missed wide left by a foot....that would have made the catch meaningless except for the bettors out there....ball seemed to catch some wind it looked good halfway there
