Chiefs with back - up O line scored 9 points in Super Bowl
Russel Wilson looked awful last night.
What do we expect of Daniel Jones behind this line?
The Giants need to use at least one of two first round picks and at least one of 3 round 2-3 picks on O line.
They are very foolish if they do not take a good look at Peart and Wilson before the draft. If neither of them can play 3-4 of first 5 picks need to be O line.
Modernize offense.....and build on defense .....(not tear it down and restart ....as it can not be week 10 before it starts dominating).
Wilson will find his way back like he always does. He has a track record. The low scoring games show up but not as frequently as what we see from some of the lesser quality QBs.
then try to trade down with the second 1st rounder.
then every pick between the 2nd and 4th round should be OL/LB/DE heavy with a TE and a punter mixed in
1st
1st (Bears)
2nd
3rd
3rd (Dolphins)
4th
4th (Bears)
5th
the next GM is going to have his work cut out for him. hopefully he doesn't answer Chris Mara's emails or player profiles.

You wouldn't say Wilson played poorly? They went from around 4:20 left in the 2nd Quarter to almost midway through the 4th without getting a 1st down. He airmailed a bunch of throws during that time.
On the game tying drive, he took a HUGE sack instead of just throwing the ball away, wasting 25 seconds of clock. His last minute TD was more the result of Washington completely blowing a coverage and leaving a man wide open in the middle of the field rather than anything Wilson did on that play.
I love Russell Wilson. He doesn't get any help out there from his OLine or running game, but he was awful for most of last night.

I thought we don't have a second pick in the fourth round due to the Bredeson trade.

i copied an old list probably. we traded a 6th or 7th too right? i didn't include those because I wasn't sure.
a trade down with 1 of the 1st picks should net a few mid rounders though
The issue is that their scouting and development of these players has been an issue for a decade, despite multiple coaching staffs. Atleast Thomas has shown some potential.
I'd have no problem with a good value OL pick in the 1st round, but I think the bigger issue is that this team needs to get better at identifying and coaching the OL talent.
[quote] goes through stretches where their team doesn't score 28 PPG but Wilson and guys like Wilson don't stay down for too long. Even last night, yeah they scored under 20 but I wouldn't say Wilson played poorly. He led them down the field at the end didn't he?

Wilson has. Great track record, he stunk last night, no spin can change that. 5 three and outs in a row! Are you kidding me.
He led them back at the end? I kind of remember an interception in the end-zone with game on line during the 2 pt conversion.
Someone posted yesterday. Jones ‘ mistakes and poor performances are just viewed in a different way by his critics from how other quarterbacks making similar mistakes are viewed
In no situation is it a *must* that 3-4 of the Giants first 5 picks have to be OL.
I am not saying I'm better than anyone, but sometimes I do feel like some of you deserve what we see on the field every week.
