his explosion in the 1H would probably have been significantly less if Barrett were around to defend him at times.

First off its nice to be in these big games and the Knicks actually are a good team, it was fun win or lose..

Second the officiating crew that did this game should be fined or suspended or relegated to doing detroit vs houston, how do you tell a player he is too strong and then you give Durant and Harden ticky tack calls all night? How does Scott Foster continue to get big games? its a joke, Nets won congrats to them but the officiating was a joke last night..

Julius randle played his best all around game this year, he shot well, moved the ball, played defense, rebounded, he played a great game. Id say he has to keep his emotions but lets be real id probably be tossed every game.

Alec Burks 25 5 and 5 good game, cant expect 25 every night but in the 4th you can expect him to show up, never looks like he is going to fast, i like this new starting lineup..

Fournier quiet night but hit 2 big 3s in the 3rd and huge 3 to tie it in the 4th..He has been taken it to the hoop more these past 2 games and i want him to do that more..

Rose is awesome, you can tell he loves these big games and jist loves being in the game at the end. He is not afraid of the moment and i think you can say that aboit most of the players but you can see him raising his game in big moments. I dont know if it was because Rj was sick but i liked the sub of Rose in for Rj with 6 minutes into the 1st and then Rj start the 2nd with the bench..

Quickley is just a good player, wasnt hot or anything but it doesnt matter once the 4th hits, he is all over the court, he is turning into a great player and a closer, him and rose off the bench is such a weapon..

Toppin needs to play more, there is nothing else to say, if Noel is not going to effect the defensive end he is useless and you need to go Toppin and Randle. Bigs cant stay with him and he is not hurting you defensively anymore. He should of finished this game..

Mitch played a good game, he fouled him at the end, im just surprised they called it and the refs completely ignored Aldridge holding Mitch so he couldnt rotate over faster and then shoved him into Johnson but what can you do?

Overally i think this team is about to start winning a lot of games, a lot of winnable games after these next 2 against the bulls and Denver...

when milsap took a charge and it was called a block-- should the officials have been relegated? (BTW milsap is toast as a player)

Scal and Isola looked at a replay of the last play this morning. Forget the shove, they counted,Aldridge was literally in the paint for 7 seconds. Now of course nobody is expecting a 3 second call there, but 7 seconds??? I know it's not remotely in the same stratosphere but having reffed HS ball for 20 years, in that spot at like 4 or 5 seconds I'd warn the guy let's go keep moving. At 6 or 7 I'm banging him I don't care the situation. That's not "letting the players decide the game" that's deciding not to enforce the rules of the game...

you mean the the plays where he slid into the offensive player? or the one he was in the restricted area still moving?

so 25 to 12 free throws is an evenly officiated game? and dont say the Nets attwcked, the Knicks and Randle were attwcking the rim all night..

When an official tells a player he is to strong to get foul calls you know some BS happened..

if you wanted 2 more fouls at random times of the game to feel better--- 2 FTs when they were down 14 --- would that make you feel better?

the 4th the knicks and nets went back and fourth- in the end the knicks tied it up- and then they committed a clear foul--- they also got a tech at a very immature time.
the game ended-

first half- harden dominant
mid 3rd- 4th- knicks found rhythm- harden cooled off-

Durant clutch in end- ended a 1 possession game in a good game.

game was not whistle heavy-

got it, you think the officiating was fine last night, Nets won, they have Durant and Harden and they won, knicks lost..

Not saying the Nets didnt deserve to win..

But that doesnt mean the officials didnt miss blatant calls late in the game

Does such a great job but Reggie Miller might be the worst analyst in sports. He is clueless. He had no idea what he was talking about. Just consistently lost.

Really fun game. I know there were some bad whistles but Randle can't lose his cool like that. Liked that 5 man of Obi, Randle, Rose, Burks, IQ.

The refs for the loss. Knicks lost end of story. Randle cannot get a tech there, I don’t care how upset you are. Unless Kyrie comes back there is no way the nets are winning a championship. Besides durant and harden that roster is horrible. The Knicks aren’t winning a championship in the next few years, but they are trending in the right direction. The nets have a 2-3 year window assuming harden resigns. Nothing would make me happier to see the nets fall short these next 2-3 years as the Knicks will start to move to the top of the league as their younger guys get better and they will eventually get the missing piece. They are a superstar wing/SG away from being a legit contender.

Still think the Brooookkkllllyyynnnn chant is the worst team chant in tthe history of professional sports. And I still to this day have never met a nets fan in person. Do they exist?

I didn't take notes, but I'd estimate 5-6 times the Knicks were tagged, it was a clear WTF moment for me.

On the other end, I recall 2 no-calls going the other way.

Fouls aren't always going to be even. But last night there were some BS moments.

And if an official said that to Randle, that's a suspendable offense, IMO. You shouldn't call games that way, but more egregious? To actually say it to a player, or anyone.

I grew up a Knicks fan, but we live in Park Slope Brooklyn. Like a lot of areas in NYC, it really a neighborhood filled with more people from outside the tri state area than from in it (I grew up in NJ). They have all decided to relocate to NYC and do not want the suburbs, so its just a lot of people from a lot of different cities. In any event, with every sport, be it football, baseball, hockey, colleges etc--the rooting interests are all over the place. The one sport where there is only one team is the NBA and its the Nets. And, this phenomenon has been around longer than the Kyrie, Durant, Harden days. Now these are not diehard fans, but they are growing into it. My kids are diehard Nets fans. I would imagine many of these supporters did not grow up Nets fans, but it is astonishing to see the civic pride in the Nets and how it is growing a fanbase (at least in Brooklyn).

We all know it's a star run league, and the superstars get the calls. It just would be nice if for once we had one of those guys after all these years. It's not owed to us, and it's mainly due to management gross ineptitude you get what you get and deal with it. It's just our frustration boils over at times. You can call it jealousy, envy, frustration whatever. On what Randle said I'd have to hear the official's side of the story. I'm betting something was lost in translation or context.

Then don’t call that on Robinson when it was a clear block. Rose did touch Durant. If you call it that soft then Randle gets killed everytime he has the ball with no whistle. Durant should be embarassed after that call and missing a bunny.

Randle was palying durant tough all game, you dont switch that strategy at the end..Durant hit some tough shots but Randle was in his face most of the night

And did a pretty damn good job until the last 5 minutes or so. Listen Durant is near impossible to guard. The last 3 or 4 minutes of a game he's gonna get aggressive and not settle for 3's no matter what you do. The best way to seal.with him is not have it be a close game. None of the guys you mentioned would have guarded him any better.

If Kbicks just come out any better than they did in the 3rd the Kbicks may win this easy, maybe they dont go on that 11-0 run to cut it to 4 to end the 3rd but they have to get the 3rd better...

They had a great 3rd against the Hawks and ended up winning by 12..

Rose, Quick, Burks, Randle and Mitch has been a good closing unit
