#Giants QB Daniel Jones suffered a strained neck early in last week’s win over the #Eagles and his status is TBD for Sunday’s game against the #Dolphins, per sources.
He just runs in a straight line until he gets popped. Reminds me of Forrest Gump's style at Alabama. I applaud his courage but it's uncomfortable to watch and it's not the first time it's caused an injury.
Deleted it and protected his tweets. He tweeted it at 2pm, about 4 hours prior to news breaking. Tweet said “bookmark this, I am not a source. But my carpenter is friends with one of Maras sons. To the actual roster I knew something was up. Made no sense otherwise. If that is the case, and he was injured that early in the game, then that sure cements how tough that dude is..

Weirder stuff has happened. A random user broke Steve Smith to the Eagles and never posted again hours before it happened.

I’ll be interested to see how he does. If they don’t expect another ugly performance. He is not very mobile. Perhaps they implement some packages with Toney taking the ball.
1) If Glennon plays even decently and Giants win a few games adn the offense scores more points then Jones's time here could come to an end.
2) if the team struggles mightily Judge gets a pass- injuries and then losing Jones.
3) If #2 happens our draft position flies up the charts.
Jones will be back for year 4 but this could negatively impact their decision to pick up the 5th year. In my opinion he needed tonplay lights out down the stretch to get the option year and now he may not play much or at all.
However, if he indeed is out, it allows a different way to evaluate him in 2021 - we can see what the offense looks like for an extended period with Glennon or Fromm running it. If the offense does about the same, that will also say a lot. If it does worse, then we know Jones was adding some value. If it does better, that screams a lot.
I hope he is okay and wish he had an offensive line that was actually decent
Been a fan a long time, have never seen the vitriol towards a player I ve seen towards Jones, I suspect it has something to do with his drafting accelerating Eli s retirement.
Some here still believe Eli had years left, even though the team s performance for the two years prior to Jones would suggest otherwise

2. We don’t know where Jones is in the evaluation process. What have the Giants found on physical exam, anything to question nerve injury. What imaging studies have been done and what do they show. We don’t know.
3. So everything is speculation. My guess is it’s more than a sore neck, as the Giants have said “may” as far as I can tell and not “won’t. The pick up of another qb though certainly leads one to conclude ‘won’t” is the more likely thought of the medical staff.
4. It just makes this season like those previous seasons of horror when the Giants were limited by ineptititude compounded by bad luck.

drooling over other running QBs our quarterback will continue to get hurt. Doesn't take a ton of smarts or research to compare the health of drop back quarterbacks to running quarterbacks. People will think this is insensitive, but how do you argue it? I hope Jones recovers, but I don’t want to rely on him at QB beyond this season.
Wilson had a genetic disorder not related to any football injury, although a football injury afterwards could cause him severe problems
