Definitely, we know that the BB school of thought is to downplay injuries until they have to be disclosed. Even if a player had leg amputated BB would say he's doubtful with a lower body injury
In some ways, the injuries are the tie-breaker for me when it comes to moving on. The idea that even if he were to improve enough and become consistent enough, we can't rely on him to stay healthy.
Playoff race might be fun, but it's inconsequential. What's paramount is that the team makes the right decisions on the big picture matters --GM, HC, and QB. Jones being out for any extended period certainly complicates matters.
