I dont personally believe it, seems like most NY beats have no idea of anything. In the past 12 hours we have heard out for weeks, 1 week and now chance of returning this week. Jordan Tweet - ( New Window )
he would even be remotely considered "possible" when we went out and immediately signed a QB to our roster. Judge never rules anyone out until very late in the week. I suspect Jones right now is being looked at as a -does a few weeks rest cause the issue to lessen or calm down. If not, season is over and if there is other damage then a more invasive procedure would happen.
No way he plays this week if they are signing a QB this fast. Plus, that QB was picked specifically because his former team has played the Phins twice already this season. Frohm probably played scout team QB as Tua in those practices (or Brissett- Phins QB regardless), so he has knowledge of what the Phins do that he cna share with Glennon.
Just need to know so I can pick up Glennon for my Fantasy Team

Is it not possible they signed the quarterback before they had any clarity on Jones ‘ injury. Things change. These are finally tuned athletes, they can heal quickly. Unless you have knowledge of some structural damage to his neck, don’t get why you would post with such certainty that he won’t play.

WHY??? Because there was no reason to do it otherwise and honestly, you don't fuck with neck injuries.

Jones finished the game after injuring his neck on the second play of the game. I don’t think it’s a stretch that he plays. Also, you argument regarding the Fromm signing is an argument that justifies the signing even if Jones was healthy.
I would play Toney at QB if Daniel is out. Get Toney ten to a dozen different plays as QB this week to get him started in case DJ misses time which seems inevitable as he missed time every season.

As a young wrestler I sprained my neck more than once. It’s limiting to the range of motion, it hurts a bit, but it’s not a big deal and once the range of motion is back you’re ok.
If it’s something like that, I could see limited range of motion being a problem, and I can see it return in time to play. But how fast it returns isn’t known up front.
I think the Fromm signing has more to do with not having confidence in Brian Lewerke more than anything. Jones is a tough dude so he's going to try and play.
RE: You have to sign a back-up quarterback if there's
that they'll make the right decision on his availability, but how can I after the Arizona game last year?
If I did have to go with Glennon, I'd like like to incorporate a bunch of Toney out of the wildcat. Give Miami a bunch of looks they haven't seen from us.
New York Giants quarterback Eli Manning has a slightly separated shoulder which is expected to keep him out at least a month, sources told ESPN's Chris Mortensen on Monday.

Sometimes it really seems like you think what we post here has any outcome on what actually happens.
Why does it matter if jvm posted with certainty that DJ won't play? The reality is that all signs absolutely point to DJ not playing this weekend, and it seems like a prudent choice to play it safe when you're talking about a neck injury.

Daniel Jones says he’s practicing and getting ready to play. He said they have a pretty clear understanding of what the injury is. It’s about treatment now. “I’m feeling much better today.” He expects to feel better and better as the week goes on.

Good to hear. Tough guy but got to stop taking on tacklers like that.
Would be interesting though to see Glennon strap it on for a couple games (in a pre-determined start) to see how the Offense responded.

You don't miss a game for 10+ straight years without super human toughness.

Well actually I don’t think anything expressed here can impact a game, how could anyone even suggest that. Really a bit confusing how you came to that conclusion.
I did however take exception to a post that seemed so certain of an uncertain situation. As it turns out, he practiced today, so perhaps my take on the post to which I replied was somewhat valid.

At the very least, I would want to know if it is more serious than just a neck strain.
The more you know.
