Protect the Duke.

I make fun of McAd’oh but isn’t he the Giants HC with the best record over the past decade? Maybe our current “CEO type” HC should try getting a bigger suit from Slick’s tailor?

an amazing spags defense and OBJ. That offense was putrid that year. We were lucky to win any games. He was supposed to be an offensive minded coach, but the offense was pitiful when he took over as HC.. and it got worse from there.

He didn't take them anywhere. Eli, Beckham and the defense did.
Shurmur didn't cut

it and Judge is on the track to failure as well, neither lost the team like McAdoo did. That 2017 season was a disgrace.

2016 the Giants hired FA mercs for the D and they had one dominant run before it turned into a pumpkin after the hail mary against Green Bay in the playoffs. That D broke my heart in that playoff game, they were kicking ass that year I was a believer. Second half of the playoff game and all of 2017 they shit the bed.

The team was essentially the team of Coughlin still and had Eli. McAdoo being HC for that season was a fluke. He was the worst and it still amazes me the team put Coughlin out to pasture thinking he had dementia or something and promoted his subordinate who within two seasons destroyed the team.

That move was the start of the horrors that continue with this franchise today.

That said, I wish him the best, it isn't his fault he was given a job he shouldn't have had by the fools running the team. Fucked up he killed Eli's streak though in a desperate ploy conjured up with Reese their jobs by scapegoating number 10.
Gotta be honest Jerry

I don't see enough heavy handed men of integrity on this roster.

But I'll accept your offer and become the official Duke of Jerry World

Our specialty around that time was relying on fortune to favor us to feast on backup opponent quarterbacks.

Which is something I wish we still reliably did instead of getting embarrassed by Hieneke.

The horrors started in 2012 when they didn’t make the playoffs after winning the Super bowl. 2013-15 under Coughlin continued the slide. Hiring McAdoo because of familiarity with the offense was foolish but the problems with the Giants are deeper and structural.

What about the kid from the 49ers last season?
this is where we pretend

he had nothing to do with our 1 good season in the last decade despite being the head coach and winning a large amount of close games.

Isn’t it funny that McAdoo gets no credit for his brilliant game management in 2016?

This board is a total clown show. Meanwhile some people on here were tripping over themselvs praising Joe Judge for what the Giants did last year.

McAdoo gets way, way too much shit around here.

Don’t know about some others, but IMO McAdoo deserves plenty of credit for a winning season in 2016.

Which is why it was so weird and a bummer he came back acting like an arrogant twat in 2017 and flushed the season down the toilet.
Mac had a couple of good clock management games

that Coughlin would have fucked up. That did translate to some head turning and back slapping.

However, the offense was way too conservative, there were red flags all over the place with his behavior and chip on his shoulder, he lost the team, he benched Eli for Geno Smith in an attempt to save his ass.

The guy was over his skis
