The days of these duos or trios on radio lasting a long time are over. Maybe a few years together if that.
Even the Kay show has become terrible. All three continue to infuse their own whiney-ness to the show. It's gotten stale and weak on real insight or content legitimacy.

Moose and Maggie is hot garbage. I spend their time slot listening to Al and Jerry which at this point is my favorite segment of the WFAN day.
BUT they were winning in the midday. Which is interesting, because even though that is the case, they are being scapegoated as weak leadins for the reason why Carton and Roberts are losing to Kay.

At least he's not boring. Does he know about sports as much as Evan? No. But if you listen to sports radio for brilliant insights you're doing it wrong. There are guys on YouTube that know 100 times more than someone like Evan who probably knows more than anyone on WFAN. Watch Bobby Skinner. Carton is entertaining, so is Evan, that's what it should be able not brilliant analysis, because none of these guys have that.

can't stand Maggie. I rarely listen to the FAN anymore. Neer on Saturday mornings sometimes, and if JR is on Saturday afternoon I'll listen if I'm in the car.

Yesterday I had to turn it off because he was talking about his mother not being a whore and telling the one guy to stop licking the lollipop like he was performing a sex act. I had my 15 year old daughter in the car. I'm not a prude and there are channels for that, I love Howard Stern but I go to Wfan for sports.
I don’t think they know what they want to be. Do they want to continue to talk baseball and cater to the older folks who still listen to sports radio? Or attempt to get the younger demo, but that would require more NFL/NBA talk and less baseball.

I listened to Moose and Maggie fairly often for a few minutes around lunch time. I enjoyed their show for what it was. It's extremely difficult to do radio 5 days a week for almost 52 weeks a year and not fall into familiarity breeds contempt for people who listen often.
Lunchtime is the only time I ever turn on FAN now and if the morning show or the afternoon show was on at lunch I'd never listen. Bitter Boomer who hates the Yankees and Giants pissing and moaning about players making more money than he ever did is not my idea of entertainment. There is 0.0 chance I will ever listen to Carton. It's not a sports show and he's not funny, just an asshole.
I've listened to Tiki's show very briefly on CBS. He still has the problem of speaking down to the audience and using vocabulary that he thinks makes him look smart but has the opposite effect. I'm sure people will tune in to hear his Giants opinions. Tiki was a great Giant. I hopefully he doesn't dig his hole with the fan base bigger than it already is.

Any twosome would be better than Moose and Maggie. All the two of them would ever do is pick the low hanging fruit of the day and criticize the team or player who gave them the best opportunity to do so. They would never focus on anything positive going on in sports.

is NOT a basketball fan at all, and he's the best of the three hosts. So he doesn't have much to contribute to Knicks discussions, and Rosenberg contributes nothing to any discussion, so Kay assumes the role of expert. Sometimes they have Hahn on to straighten things out.

Kim Jones has a way better gig at NFLN than anything WFAN could offer.

agreed here sb. One night I tuned into WFAN and Yankees Spanish announcer Rickie Ricardo was on and enjoyed his show that night.
Maggie and Moose have a lot of enjoyable guests but that may be the time-slot driving that. Carl Banks and Logan Ryan are 2 examples.
