The Giants have shown a bend but don't break mentality in leading the league over those games in opponent drives of 4+ first downs that did not result in a score.
Where the teams diverge on defense is pressure to the QB. Over the last six weeks the Dolphins lead the league in QB hits. The Giants are 26th in that time-frame.For the year the Dolphins have the second highest blitz percentage - second only to the Bucs. Both teams rank high on takeaways. However over the last six weeks the Dolphins rank 27th in turnovers to the Giants 7th place ranking with better ball control. The other big difference on defense is that the Giants over the last six weeks rank 26th in opponent yards per rush attempt to the Dolphins rank of 13th. The good news is the Dolphins rank 31st in offensive yards per rush attempt.
On offense over the last six weeks the Dolphins are ranked seventh in 3rd down conversion % to the Giants 26th ranking. The other big difference is the Dolphins rank 17th in points scored to the Giants 26th ranking.
In relation to red zone performance offensively the Dolphins get into the red zone more often averaging 3.66 trips per game over these six weeks. The Giants averaged 2.6 trips per game. For drives ending in the red zone the Dolphins came away with a touchdown on 59% of the drives to the Giants 46%. Defensively the Giants allowed more drives into the red zone averaging 4 per game to the Dolphins two per game. Once the drives entered the red zone the Giants were better defensively allowing a touchdown on just 35% of those drives to the Dolphins 50%.
The Giants and Dolphins over the last six weeks both had one drive that resulted in a touchdown from outside the red zone. The Dolphins gave up one such touchdown and the Giants had given up zero.
Though not the best of the league these two teams have a lot in common and are both fighting to move into playoff contention. This should be a close battle. One would think a low scoring game. They have the lowest over/under last I checked. But you can never tell - otherwise we'd all be rich.

BBI in a nutshell. Go on, please, we'll all be dumber for it.
As for the Giant receivers. it's another week where we just have to wait and see who makes the trip, and who dresses on Sunday.
Shall I go on?
My other favorites on this
- Lincoln's secretary was named Kennedy and told him not to go to the theater that night. Kennedy's secretary was named Lincoln and told him not to go to Dallas.
- John Wilkes Booth shot Lincoln in a theater and was later captured in a warehouse. Lee Harvey Oswald shot Kennedy in a warehouse and was captured in a theater.
What worries me most is the Miami D. They are super aggressive. 2nd most blitzes overall and most blitzes by DBs. Unless we are both able to pick it up and/or able to make them pay, that will be the difference in the game, un my opinion. I hope I'm wrong, but this is where I see our undoing.

Thanks BBB. I never knew that wasn't true when I first read it, and have mentioned it before in conversation so thanks for setting me straight!
I do like the theater/warehouse thing though.
It’s the current world we live in. Thoughtfulness and conversation shot down for “hot takes” and snide comments. Social media and forums are fucking cesspools of faceless posters with no fear of repercussions for anything they type.
Back to the OP.
The one thing that post had me thinking about is the bend but don’t break D the Giants have been playing. It has been keeping points off the board but it is also keeping the D on the field and the O off of it.
Well SHIT. Now that I type that I can understand why they are doing it. I don’t want to watch our O either.
Love the fact that the people who posted after me do. *bow*

Well, I have been on this site since it was Pete's Corner and before we had registration. I used to either start threads or comment on others on a regular basis, but no more. After a very long hiatus I decided a couple of weeks ago to post something I thought was mildly interesting ... not important, but interesting. The responses persuaded me that there is no reason for me to post and open myself to that nonsense from obvious assholes.
