I would think he will have to be elevated as the back- up as Fromm cannot know the playbook. He has good mobilty and is a smart player. I think Fromm is trying out for next year as competition for Jones or as primary back up.
Coach said they were getting Glennon ready and the offensive coaches working overtime to get Fromm ready in case he has to play. No mention of lewerke or however you spell it.
Fromm is on the Giants 53 man roster because he was signed off the Bills practice squad. It was pretty clear he was being brought in as a backup otherwise he wouldn't have been signed this week in the first place. I believe he has to be on the Giants 53 for 3 weeks.
I think he is the COVID insurance because if he is active more than 2 or 3 games he has to be added to 53 man roster. He is a veteran who understands how Judge wants QB to see things not a long term answer. I think staff view Fromm as a potential replacement for Glennon next year so would like to get him reps.

How long I have heard his name I thought he was in the league longer. I guess because he made starts his Freshman year at Michigan State he has been talked about longer (as a fair amount of the QB's at top schools are 1 to 2 year starters because they were behind another highly touted QB)

What is the O-Line welcome mat?
The Giants O-Line spreads around welcome mats so when Glennon gets drilled, his crash landing will be cushioned.
