Last 10 games (including all of November) 6 goals 7 assists.
Reimer confirmed starting goalie for SJS, he's off to a great start.
SJS overall though, not a great team (playing well, but not a great team). NYR should win.
Might even be a good game to get Georgiev some confidence (though I think Igor is expected to start).
Don't you always play your starter on the first of a B2B?
I don't know. But Georgiev hasn't started since 11/21.
with a home and home vs the lowly blackhawks after the game with SJS maybe the thought process is Georgiev would get one of those games.
My sense was NYR should beat SJS and after the b2b the Rangers have 2 days off before playing the blackhawks in CHI so thought Georgiev was due for a start.
but they're likely starting Igor tonight, so...you are probably right.

Igor will have an MRI tomorrow and Gallant said that Georgiev will start vs. Chicago. But he also said the trainer, Jim Ramsay, told him the right-leg injury seems minor. He definitely seems like he's feeling some relief.

Let's hope Georgiev finds his game because he's the starter for the next few games
Hope he doesn't bring the COVID with him! Interesting that it is Huska over Kinkaid. They probably want to see what they have in the kid. As it is time to replace Georgiev with a cheaper option as the back-up tender. Shesty is the clear #1, we don't need to pay a young back-up as much as Georgiev is getting. Particularly with him playing like shit. This year we have plenty of cap room, but next year we don't. So this is def Georgiev's last year on Broadway.

Why cheaper? Igor has established himself as lead goalie and the team built around him has shown through over more than 25% of the season they are a legit contender, why not fortify the net and get a solid, veteran, backup.
There are so many of them and goalie has proven so often to be the undoing of many potential contenders.
Obviously I'm not talking about a Price or Bobrovsky contract for your backup goalie but 4 - 5M, even for a one-year deal (or a couple years), is a sound strategy.

I'd look at the Stars and Canucks for possible G help. Halak? Khudobin?

Jake Allen and Ben Chiarot for Kravtsov and a 1st.

Hell fucking no
NYR already linked to Chiarot.
Perfect partner for Fox, bumps Lingren to a better suited line, and makes Nemeth depth or a healthy scratch and forces Tinordi off the roster.
And Jake Allen is better than both Stars goalies.

Seems like Tony D was right about Georgiev
Now Hill is keeping SJ in this damn game.
Just saying
