from a team of coaches who seem to follow Judge's line of say a ton and tell you little to nothing, Sale's comments and demeanor could not be more of an indictment of Peart than if he came out said Peart is as Tough as a feather Pillow covered in bubble wrap in a padded room of zero gravity. Seriously, look at his face when answers the question. he literally almost smirks when he says it. Plus, he clearly knows Solder is toast and basically says in critical play situations the guy who is beyond toast gives us our best chance to succeed.
That is the most truthful answer I have ever seen. That to me seems like not only a shot at Peart (or honest assessment not meant to be personal) but clearly a shot at the guy who brought these folks on board and said we will play with who we have..

It's why I keep harping on his answer. He's demeanor is priceless.

Without a doubt. Question for you, you and I have talked a ton in the past about the team, to team people, media etc., is that the first time you saw an assistant be that blatantly honest with his answer? Especially since the Parcells days for sure. I mean, the whole look, the stance, his expression were priceless. Plus, he basically took it one step further to illustrate his point, Peart is in the building, in meetings, stays late- it isn't commitment or lack of attention, it is literally he plays soft! A tag you never want as a football player but definitely not on the Oline!
Sales is shifting his feet like an uncomfortable kid
If I have, it hasn't been in quite some time. It was actually kind of refreshing.
That said, you do pick up more from the position coaches when talking about specific players. When I used to write my offseason roster articles, I liked to use quotes from them.
Peart sounding more and more like a softer, less agile Will Beatty.

+2. That was as brutal a criticism of a player as I have ever heard.
could see my demeanor when I say there dumber that a box of rocks for continually trotting Solder out there. If the assessment of Peart is acuarate, dumb to play him at LT when Thomas was out. Play the terrible Solder there and whoever the want at RT. At some point the coaches need to start being smarter. Judge is horrific during games when it comes to time management, what else are they horrific at?
Crappy owners
Crappy GM
Crappy scouting dept.
Crappy drafts
Crappy players
Crappy coaches but I give Sale credit for being honest instead of the useless coach talk we get from Judge.
Crappy last 10 years.
It really is incredible.... the injuries to the skill positions players and offensive line.. to the QB.
I log on every day several times a day and see the same themed threads over and over..have been doing so since Eric started this place..have not posted until recently.
I feel like it is Ground Hog Day...
The team is so hard to watch for 4 quarters.....
I see people gripe with mocks having the Giants draft Linderbaum....I do not give a damn he is a center... things are not going to change til the OL gets fixed and you are not going to know about Jones until you do.
Likewise they need a pass rusher .. whether that is a LB DE or DT...
My guess is Sunday's game is again to be hard to watch and I will turn it off after the Giants again demonstrate they cant protect the QB or create any hole to run....
People here crush the Barkley pick and yeah he dances way too much and does not just hit the hole when nothing is there... but you put him in front of a good Oline and I am sure opinions would change....guy most suited for this lousy O line would be a guy like Jacobs....
And yes it does feel like the 70's when every week I knew for the most part the team was gonna get their ass kicked... it sucks and I am tired of it.
And yup front office sucks... Mara is a good guy but has not done a good job. Wellington he was a good man... NFL steps in and Young turns the corner we get LT.
I am not a coach nor a scout...but top to bottom the team is dysfuntional...It starts with a GM and player development/scouting/coaching
I miss Parcels... You are what your record says you are....
I unlike a lot of posters do believe the team has assets...yup I am in on Barkley and Jones...on Jones I remember Simms early struggles...my biggest concern on Jones is something Manning and Simms were awesome at....being able to read the defense and make the right calls when he see's the defense..
Crazy thing is if they somehow beat the Phins... tone on the board will change if not for just one week....
Yet they refuse to acknowledge that Peart sucks. He’s a DG Oline pick who played college ball at Connecticut and can’t beat out Soldier and BBI won’t shut up about him. Wake up. Time to move on.

Love and Ryan can play some CB, but if anyone else gets hurt, look out.

Is this normal?
Team captain types - dedicated - hard working - say all the right things - face of the franchise types - players easy to root for....
Just not very productive football players....
Sound familiar?

That said, I'd still rather see him play than Solder.
