17 remain on IR.
4 have been activated off of IR.
We still have six games to play.
Granted, the liberalized IR rules inflate IR numbers, but this is getting ridiculous.
(And Giants front office, this should not be used as an excuse because you started the season 1-5).
And nobody knows why we're so freaking snakebit.
It's been brutal all around.
Giants are not the most injured team, though they are tied with TEN for most current on IR.
When you look at it in terms of cap hit for currently injured players the Giants are not in the top third of the league (they are 11th).

Yet other teams seem to be able to do it.
Hutchinson may as well start looking for real estate in Michigan.

For instance if you're hoping for the playoffs that's a bummer of a headline. However if your goal is to draft Hutchenson/Green/Neal/Cross well shit, we're making a push!

Eh, brain fart.
He may as well get ready to stay in Michigan.
Cowboys and Packers have had nonstop injury and Covid related issues including to top players, yet are among top teams in NFC.
Making excuses is what losers do.
it really should not be surprising they have a lot of injuries this year.

Eh we knew what you meant ;)
Plus as a college player they can't own real-estat.....oh wait they changed that didn't they?
idk what the actual evidence of this serious issue with the strength and conditioning program is other than having a lot of injuries this year. yet they didn't have a lot of injuries last year and in fact were one of the least injured teams iirc.
im betting signing injury-prone guys and sticking with the previous injury-prone guys is more of a factor here.
So, you can't act as if its bad luck when they once again miss time.

Nice chart, but it doesn't quite capture the injuries to star or highly paid players who aren't put on the IR because of less serious, but nagging injuries, which seems to a big problem for the Giants all year.

Which players for example? Toney? I guess Jones. Are there others? And pretty sure every team has those players - not sure the injury is enough for IR for them to miss 3+ games, but too injured to play short-term.

Barkley, Golladay, Sheperd have all ridden the bicycle on the sidelines.

They didn't know for sure those injuries would definitely last 3 weeks when they happened. That's what I mean about all teams dealing with those types of injuries.
Shepard has had 3 separate injuries.
Arron Wellman leaves, injuries come back
I guess the S&C program is a little more important than we think….
BTW, we’ve all said Sy’ should be GM, he could take over S&C too
The Juan Gonzalez v. Cecil Fielder Conundrum.
I mean, we already have them now, so.
So, you can't act as if its bad luck when they once again miss time.
Toney had a shoulder injury in college and missed 6 games, but that was the extent of his HS and college injuries. Barkley rolled his ankle twice in college and missed a total of 1 game. Wouldn’t exactly say they were injury prone.
