He just took in a P6 against Oregon in the PAC12 Championship game.
Just love everything about this guy's game. Three down LB who goes sideline to sideline, blasts through holes, hammers ball carriers, can blitz and plays the passing game.
If you want a serious LB solution for NYG, this is the player.
I hope not, but you are probably right. This is a top ten talent - or higher.
Good point, especially like Dean and Harris.
It's been a pain in the ass for those of us who banged the Parsons drum all last winter. Hopefully the next GM is from outside the building and brings a fresh approach.

I'm with Sy on this. picking for need gets you Flowers. we have the luxury of having holes everywhere. pick the best player, period.
Saquon was the best player on the board. undeniably so. Called the best and safest prospect since Manning. Little downside, highupside, Most here are still yowling. So, forgive me, but it all has a\ disingenerous feel to it.

You don’t take a RB that high.

Point well taken. Maybe I should have said best value. Or whatever term you want to use to factor in best player/positional value. My point is don't take a red chip OL if there's a blue chip LB. We need to start collecting talent. we have so many needs that it's going to take more than 1 draft anyway.
but good point.

I don't agree with that and I've been a Penn State fan for 30+ years. Barkley was the most exciting player. But not the best football player.
I wrote before the draft that players like Minkah Fitzpatrick, Derwin James, Nelson, Chubb were better football players - and at more important positions - than Barkley. And those players have been better than Barkley.
Him and either Purdue DE, ojadbo or possible even fsu ER with a slight trade down May work
We have 3 picks 40 -75 area. Grab highest rated oline and May sign a decent oline with our 1 FA move we may be able to afford
After that fill TE, RB, developmental wr. Whatever is value at the spot
I guess I'm a fool but I'm holding out hope they go with an outsider as the next GM and we see a completely new approach.

Good post...
They were going to draft one last year and he got taken one pick before the Giants pick.

I believe it was Sy who said the other day that they need to be careful not to get locked into forcing a need pick at OL at the expense of adding a blue chip talent, and Lloyd is one of the guys in that top 10 range who I hope they don't overlook.

Usually I am 100% in favor of best available but O-line needs to be priority #1,2,3,4,5. There seems to be a lack of available talent in big men at the moment. We need to use multiple picks on lineman.
Line takes 3 to 4 years to develop players. Flowers is doing a good job for WFT. Draft a LB at 5 in April and he'll finish his career somewhere else.

And you know this how?

From the sources we were prepared to select Jamin Davis and then Washington selected him

Draft Lloyd and Ojabo in first
Ojabo is a monster
Hopefully with trade downs we will get additional second round picks
But I agree that a side to side ILB is ranked right up there with OL and ER.

Giants have passing on stud Lbs for two decades. One of the reasons why they suck. They lock in on positions and athletes over football studs.
