Im sensing 3 blow outs coming tomorrow. So I’m thinking of not only laying the points with 3 favorites tomorrow (Georgia, Michigan, and Cincinnati), but I might actually play a -6 point teaser for the 3 of them (which has to be played as a parlay).
In plain English, the spreads I’d be taking would be:
Georgia -12.5
Michigan -16.5
Cincinnati -16.5
***and I would need all 3 to cover to win***
Why would I do this? Because a $50 bet could win me $1000.
Georgia has been so dominant all year long and Alabama has not looked impressive in the least bit, especially not last week.
Michigan I just think is going to crush Iowa. I don’t think Iowa is even close to the same class as Ohio at and Michigan just trounced them by 15.
Cinci has not looked great at certain points but they HAVE shown up against ranked opponents and put a beat down on ND and SMU.
What do you guys think? I know there are a lot of people on this board who know way more about college football than I do.
A guy says to his buddy: “so far today I’ve bet on 6 football games, 3 baseball games, and 2 basketball games. I’ve lost every single bet I’ve made today and I’m down bad. I need to find a game to bet on tonight so I can make it all back.
The guy’s friend says: “we’ll there’s an NHL game tonight that you can bet on.”
He replies: “oh no way, I don’t know anything about hockey.”
Yeah that’s probably smarter. I got into these teaser parlay things like a month or so ago, because the first one I tried was like a 9 leg -6 point teaser and I got 8 of the legs, literally came just a Panthers victory away from winning $40k. Of course every single time I’ve done them since I have not come NEARLY as close as that lol, so I will need to just accept it and chalk that first one up as beginner’s luck (almost luck) and move on.
Would you still play Cincinatti at -10.5 (I.e. without the -6 teaser)?
1 game you might dodge it, 3 is alot to ask for. But its gambling. Have some fun. Fuck it.

Yeah for some reason I’m always attracted to taking the small risk big reward— undoubtedly it’s not the least bit economical as more even bets lol and leads to lost money more often than not, but I always figure what’s the purpose of gambling if I’m just gonna make small gains here and there? it’s a hobby not a living.

Michigan should, Georgia may.

Yeah, I might do that
Iowa may not be good but they’re well coached and you never know if Michigan has a let down game.
When they interviewed Bear Bryant after the game he said hell i'll be glad to just get out of town. He paid Rutgers a high compiment and I've followed them ever since. Their fans were wild but really nice down home people.
My take after all these years when you play them is
you stop them, you stop them you stop them and then you don't.
Definitely low odds, which is why the payout is so high hahah. Unfortunately if I instead took the underdogs and did a +6 teaser (not -6) as I think you may be suggesting (I.e. just reverse the bet to take the other side of the spreads I listed), the payout would be super low.
To get the same odds, I could do a -6 teaser and take the dogs instead… which would be like:
Houston -4.5
Iowa -4.5
Bama -0.5
That would net the same +2000 payout as I quoted before. (Or I can mix up the favorites and these dogs, pick any 3. Could pick Houston, Michigan, and Bama— but at -0.5 that would mean Bama has to win.)
40-13 over SC
62-0 over Vandy
37-0 over Arkansas
34-10 over Auburn
30-13 over Kentucky
34-7 over Florida
43-6 over Missouri
41-17 over Tennessee
45-0 over Georgia Tech
…. So— They won the above 9 games by an average of 33.3 points.
Not guaranteeing they’re gonna rout Bama but considering Bama has looked anything but stellar all year I feel like covering -12.5 isn’t out of the question.
Yeah, I’d rather take the dogs and points. I think one of the favored teams is losing today.

And I just misunderstood you. You may have just been saying “take the points” as in you’d rather just bet on the dogs with the original spreads. Either way I catch your drift 👍🏻

Damn okay yeah definitely could happen for sure. I actually for some reason feel like these 3 favorites will win but that Oklahoma St will randomly be upset by Baylor.
