Recently Jake Fromm was signed to the 53 man roster. Having watch many Georgia games over the years I decided to go back and look closer at Fromms highlights.
I watched his back shoulder throws, the many down field completions including some of his runs from scrimmage. His arm seemed strong enough-(but is it NFL strong?)
On one play, something caught my eye - there were two Georgia linemen acting like two pillars creating a pocket for Fromm to step up and throw. I researched the roster for #71 and #79. -Thomas and Wilson! So, now I watch the tackles more than the highlights of Fromm. These two bookend were clearing space for Jake.
I shook my head and muttered…could it be that the pieces we’ve been looking for may have fallen in our lap as a result of a stiff neck?
Are any of the QB coming out this year as good as Fromm? This Sunday we get to see our back up in action with our “insurance” policy agent…Jake from State F#rm-ready to come in if needed.
Do we possibly have a capable young QB who, with some seasoning, can be our backup and (if needed) step in and carry the Giants forward?-a.la Brady and Heinicke! Not saying Fromm is Brady but the football gods owe us!
Fromm on our roster could allow us to save a pick we may have used for a young QB in this draft. Use that pick on a OL to complement our possible book ends or tackle / guard combo of Wilson and Thomas . [ Thomas, Lemieux, Gates, Wilson and ?]
For the record…I’m not sharing what I’m drinking or consuming! But just think of it…..can the Giants finally have caught lightening in a bottle- or is it recycled beer?
Fascinating thought- not the recycled beer..
stranger things have happened
It would be nice if this became a laugher with us up 30
Bring the kid in for the 4th QTR
or if Glennon gets nicked up you might get your wish
Personally I think Glennon is a good QB from what I saw in the Dallas game....very poised with a laser arm

Wait, you think Heinicke (sp?) is better than Dak? How is that arguable?
Comps for Fromm coming out of UGA ranged from upside of Colt McCoy to downside of Matt Barkley. That's a pretty narrow range, from good career backup to marginal career backup. He does have a few things in common with young Eli Manning: a good Wonderlic score, a bad 40 time, and the affection of his former coaches.
I'll be thrilled if more than one of those former Dawgs amounts to anything. The best Giant fans can realistically hope for from Jake Fromm is that he holds a clipboard as capably as David Carr, Curtis Painter, Ryan Nassib, and Colt McCoy.
Jake Fromm is Danny Kanell to Daniel Jones' Dave Brown.
What we need are some good UGA O-Linemen.
I don't think so.
Last season, our O-Line was probably a 5 or 6 on a scale of 1 to 10.
This season, with Gates, Lemieux, Zeitler and Fleming gone, they're a 1 or 2.
Maybe negative 1 or 2.
I don’t advocate for having any football managerial background but stranger thing have happened like:
Brady, out of the University of Michigan was drafted with the 199th pick in the draft. The New England Patriots selected the former Wolverine in the sixth round with visions of him playing a solid back up role to then starting quarterback Drew Bledsoe
Following his college career, Warner went undrafted in the 1994 NFL Draft. He was invited to try out for the Green Bay Packers' training camp in 1994, but was released before the regular season began. He was pushing shopping carts at a super market when he got the call from the Rams..
Heinicke went undrafted in the 2015 NFL Draft, but signed with the Minnesota Vikings as an undrafted free agent.
Johnny Manziel selected 22nd in 2014 draft
Haskins was the 15th overall selection in the 2019 NFL Draft.
So, yes maybe I’m as clueless as Mara and the others who chose Haskins, Manziel and let Heineke, Warner go undrafted. It’s all a crap shoot and I’m hoping that maybe something goes our way for once!.

It’s been said time and time again that BBI is not a place to exchange ideas or feeling for a the team I’ve followed 65 years. Instead it is the Bully Pulpit of those who can disagree without calling members clue less or other insults.
As posted yesterday by VaGman..
…………the reason a lot of people don’t post anymore, is the name calling and “smarter than thou” attitudes. No one can have an opinion or vent without the “special people “ calling them names or telling them how dumb they are or are a clown.
Geez
It’s not necessary! Either disagree or click and move on to the next post.
IMO, fewer preseason games, fewer practices & more regular season games is a recipe for more injuries and lower quality football. The players don't mind because it is also a recipe for more money to them as well as to the owners. They're 25. What the hell do they know?

This.
I try to stay off of the many daily DJ threads
It's hilarious....There is a reason why the guy was on a practice squad and not the game time roster

Agreed. BBI isn't what it once was in my opinion. The inner circle has too much influence.
Collect his gold jacket if you believe some of this nonsense on here
