That wishbone formation thing they run sometimes

Debaser : 12/4/2021 5:37 pm
I kinda like it . Admittedly not as good wo jones running ability but still ...

You got penny in there blocking and maybe fullback up the middle on third and short; you got booker in there blocking and maybe running job the middle; and you got bark maybe getting to the outside or just going in motion for a pass down. EngrAm can’t block so figure maybe booker and penny can be in there picking up blitz
It's called a Full House formation in Madden

I guess that's what its called irl. No point in putting Glennon in at pistol, and I'm guessing Penny is a better blocker than Engram. Also might be worth putting Barkley and Booker in at the same time with our infirmary ward of a WR corp.

Mcadoo would have just stuck with 11 personnel.
Is that the latest madden version?

I still play 2019 and been playing for years

Jones ran and what looked like a read option when they used it

Cannot remember if the just had two wideouts when giants Used it or If they had a te in there
I play Madden 20 XD

no point in paying $70 for roster updates. Think it was a full house base pistol, but you can replace a TE for a FB and vice versa. There are other similar formations. And there are shotgun splits with two backs and an h-back/TE I think.

True that. That is why I have to laugh at this whole blame Garrett thing. Nit that he was any good and I wish he was still here, but Mcadoo was using like a high school football team's playbook and winning 11 games and going to the playoffs with it. Before being like the worst coach ever and losing the locker room.
theres an Elis Places episode

Wishbone in HS football

Remember our HS football team ran Wishbone. Was a pretty fun system to watch. Was used by Oklahoma in college quite well too.

Interesting to think of Jones being used as a pt RB in it.
Jones gets his longer runs in space though and I'm not sure they really want to expose him to going through holes, even with lead RB blockers.
I would like to see Jones

run lateral options.
Technically the formation is called Diamond
SuperRonJohnson : 12/5/2021 5:21 pm : link
Wishbone is run with QB under center, fullback, 2 halfbacks. Diamond is out a short shot typically 2 FB/TE types, and a RB. You can also run Diamond with all 3 being RB types. I have run this offense. You can run Iso, Midline, or Read option quite effectively out of this at a high school/college level. Not NFL. Green Bay has run this with 2 TE/H -back types
