ps Carmel's 13-0 undefeated season is as good as any AA NYS Public High School since the advent of the playoff system which is about 25 years old:

They were up 12-0 at the half, but it just wasn’t to be. Still, a great run for Pleasantville!
It was fun for our home town to win. Big parade of fire trucks ushered the team bus back to the school for the last 5 miles.
Now back to watching the Giants...

Congrats to your hometown win!
Can the Giants hire the Tioga Head Coach? (:-)
Exactly! Bold all by their coach.
It was my one prediction that turned out wrong.
One for the books. Congrats. Pity about Somers and P'ville. I was able to get some good looks on tape at its halfback that M.S. had identified, along with Del, and my sense was that he was slippery and very talented, but not this year the dominant type talent to change a game by himself. But he's only a soph and will presumably get bigger, stronger.

For some perspective on Carmel season, the 2003 New Rochelle team won the State Championship, but the best AA NYS team I ever saw play was the 2004 New Rochelle team (with Ray Rice as a senior.) Here is their record, including their loss to Christian Brothers in the State Final (a game New Rochelle was up by I think 2 TDs until Ray Rice went out with a dislocated shoulder):
Roosevelt 34 6
North Rockland 35 7
White Plains 35 0
Mount Vernon 48 6
Lincoln 43 0
Saunders 42 0
Gorton 41 6
Mahopac 37 0
North Rockland 38 7
Mount Vernon 46 0
Monroe-Woodbury 41 0
Christian Brothers 35 41
I think the 2021 Carmel team is just as good, and maybe better!
I think Clarkstown South was a better team this season than its record would indicate. They lost a close one to Ketcham... had to play Carmel and Arlington... and then lost an O/T play-off game to New Rochelle.
M.S., you've mentioned Carmel's line play both sides, any sense what they return for '22? Is it a seniors' dominated team?

Funny I think it may have been the only time they were losing all year. South scored to go up 7-0. It didn't even last till a play from scrimmage as Carmel returned the ensuing kickoff for a TD lol.

Yeah they were a strange team. Seems like they played a lot better on the riad- beat North Rockland and Suffern and lost in OT to New Rochelle. Home they had no business losing to Ketcham. Mistakes galore in that game .

A while back, I took a quick look-see at their o-line. If memory serves me right, about half of their total team offensive lineman are not seniors. And “I think” maybe 2 of these juniors may have been starters. Not exactly sure though.
