I would just like to see fewer mistakes. Especially from Judge. Not dumb penalties (ie pre-snap). Why can’t we ever have a clean game. Adjustments to what Dolphins do on off and def. And how about not giving up 7 just before the half.
but could also throw 2 TDs along with them. I see Kitchens being aggressive downfield, however, it’s our Oline and their propensity for blitzing, could be a long day for Glennon, as well!
in the league. Fromm was a 5th rd pick who’s only a practice squad player because of his name and coming from a big time program. As usual, BBI locks onto a recognizable name, and anoints him as the ‘savior”. He may be cut and out of the league as soon as Monday.
to the question about Peart this week (as Eric suggested). He practically called him a soft pussy he would cut if it were up to him. He’s got athletic gifts but is not an NFL lineman. He needs to prove the coaches wrong. Beat the snot out of someone in practice. Pancake a guy in a game. Then he will get playing time. Any opportunities he gets today, he HAS to start changing the narrative.
See that interview with Sale. Peart is not playing with aggression. Sale sounds very disappointed that they have not been able to find a way to motivate Peart.
and the Sales interview was just weird, he's hiding something. And no its likely not Solder is better than Peart, he could have answered that question in a usual coach-speak way and moved on.

That interview was the opposite of hiding something. He was as frank as a coach can be.

Maybe it s as simple as sending Pert a message, “time to man up son, show some physicality or you re not long for the NFL”.

You don't think aggressiveness can be learned? I know what Sale said and I know what Skinner said and it is pretty much the same. For all I know Peart is a guy looking to cash in with no intention of becoming a starter.
If that was the case, I think he would be exposed and released ASAP.
We also know Flowers was almost the same and it took 4 years for him to figure he has to hit someone to stay employed.
So, that is my story - until I change it with more information.
I don’t think we’ll win any more then maybe one more game! This reminds me of the year in which Jesse Palmer finished out the season after the slew of injuries. Just absolutely ugly finish.
Such excitement. Thank you Gettleman for at least knowing with Jones being injury prone, that we need a good backup QB. Boy does he know what he is doing. It is becoming so obvious that Garrett was the entire problem. Just look at the difference.
may be the worst TO I have ever seen. I've never seen a team take a TO with just a few seconds left in the first quarter. My guess is no one here has as well.
Drop an 8 yard pass that hit him in the hands on first down. Gain nothing on second down, and then miss his blocking assignment on 3rd down blowing up the play.
If he would even get to being an average RB it would be lovely.
Barkley has become an unusable player he hasn’t really been effective at anything this year. Can’t run, or block and has been marginal as a receiver. Not so sure he’ll ever become much more on this team?!
Giants are trying to get the ball to Barkley in space because he can't gain anything from the backfield, but even that isn't working. Dropped passes, failed jet sweeps, and dump offs where he's smothered. He's also being run over as a pass blocker.
Misses the ball. Great first round pick this season too. Tonry is just great. Toney, Jones, Barkley, and the criminal cornerback we cut. These would be bad picks if they were third rounders, one is the second puck, when if traded would have got us a boatload of picks to rebuild. But I forgot, we were still going for it with Eli. A miscalculation. Then topped off with Daniel Jones. Almost too bad to bear. Byt glad we didn't trade anyone at the deadline. Dave didn't get his 2nd rounder for Engram.
RE: RE: I think golladay has more catches already than like
You're argument makes no sense. Garrett was the OC during that time. Use your tiny brain
Not last game he wasn’t.
You are expecting Kitchens to install a whole new offense with new play designs? Dont be stupid.. We may see the timing of when certain plays are called improve. However, you are NOT going to get different plays at this point.

The only thing I am expecting is you; tuckrule; acid test simms11 to shit on Glennon and pump up jones no matter how bad jones plays and no matter how good glennon plays.

Whatever that is 3 nice passes to GOlladay in one qtr vs 3 all last game combined and just slant routes. No doubt Glennon knows how to throw people open, back shoulder etc and it had nothing to do with Garrett. Jones is not a real NFL QB who is capable of making all thee throws.

Is it at all possible for you to shut the fuck up and not ruin every single damn thread you post on?
All looking to get better today. Only anyone tell Judge then why is the team never getting better, if the coaches and players are all getting better today, when do we see this better. It's all tge OLine, yet not one draft pick on the Oline.

Glenon looked decent. Glennon has no one now.
Despite all the draft picks and free agent signings
There isn’t a playmaker on the offensive side of the ball. Those that have flashed ability can’t stay on the field. The Oline is only part of the problem.
to be able to put together an offense that pretty much every single player is constantly in and out of the line-up. Usually it's one or two guys, but it's the entire flipping team.
They are terrible pickups! Look at even Glennon?? Meanwhile Eagles picked up Minshew! DG is terrible and needs to get fired. They made no effort to provide a solid QB backup for a questionable Daniel Jones?!? Giants Org does not have a clue..
Some of these personnel groupings and line calls are mystifying. Judge keeps losing me on his planning and strategy with this team. It’s like he thinks he’s playing in a different NFL.
Golladay realize he got hurt when the guy punched the ball out when he was out of bounds, punched him in the ribs instead- no penalty. Not his fault.
Yeah, I don’t know why that wasn’t a personal foul.
I thought that's when he got hurt as well. Nothing you can do. Players get hurt. It's not his fault. The frustration is that we massively overpaid for him and were essentially bidding against ourselves for his services during FA.
But WTF with Barkley. I now hate him more than EE and Solder
I don't hate him, but his career has fizzled since his rookie season due to injury and being on a shitty team. It's disappointing, but not surprising with it comes to this team. It's an endless line of disappointments.
And Garrett. Jones and Garrett nowhere to be seen and we still can't score. What's the constant here?
the quarterbacking sucks?
Bold take. I'd go as far to say that Barkley and Slayton dropping the ball...and the OLine not being able to create any push is more to blame. But sure...QB
I am with you. I usually root no matter what. Play on a shitty team is correct. However. Playing on a shitty team does not cause drops. He owns that. I am sick of him
is so fricking boring. That's the worst part of it. You can have a shitty record but still play entertaining football. Even when they win the games are snooze fests
they would stop dropping off 5-10yds when all the phins are doing are throwing dinks but then you realize who our coaches are and understand. good thing we wasted another timeout for no reason
Rodney Hampton, Charles Way, Tiki Barber, Brandon Jacobs & Ahmad Bradshaw.
Barkley is not a NY Giants RB. I cant stand watching him play anymore.
He is the definition of a soft player. He seems terrified to absorb any contact. As soon as he touches the ball he is looking to get to the sideline or curl up in a ball to protect himself.
Why are we so soft when the situation clearly doesn’t call for it
I’d explain it to you, but you wouldn’t understand. In fact, no one with a brain would understand.
This guy’s two downfield passes were two of the most wobbly throws ever, but the Giants will allow him to dink and dunk 80 yards, even on 3rd and short/goal line situations.
RE: Giants have to be the worst middle 8 team in the NFL
It’s definitely not the complete lack of blocking, linebacker play, or pass rush.
It’s not an either or. The QB is also a problem. Glennon comes in for Jones and it is the same offense. There is no real drop off from Jones to Glennon.
It’s definitely not the complete lack of blocking, linebacker play, or pass rush.
Yep we have a lot of issues, but it's bad that Glennon looks like a better passer than DJ. I don't know if it's coaching or what, but before KG went out he was getting him the ball much better than we've seen from DJ.
It’s definitely not the complete lack of blocking, linebacker play, or pass rush.
Defense still only gave up 10 point. I wish we did have a great QB. We have NO QB worth anything on the roster.
If we had the other pieces, I would understand trying to get a great QB via trade or high draft pick. As it is, we need OL and LB’s as we have needed since about 2012.
It’s definitely not the complete lack of blocking, linebacker play, or pass rush.

In Mike Glennon’s defense, Saquon REFUSES to catch any passes thrown at him.

That's debatable. I've seen Jones drove us down the field and score FGs at a better rate than Glennon so far. Our only FG under Glennon came when our offense started in FG range

I have preferred Glennon's decision making over Jones at this point.
So Giants are staying nice and consistent. WR gets hurt and giving up 7 at the half. What should I expect next? EE fumble or Shelton hurting someone on k or our defense?
Jones, Glennon, Barkley, Booker, it doesn't matter because no one can function behind this OL. You could make the case that getting better skilled players is a useless thing behind this OL, but I don't buy that it shows that the backups are as good as the starters. The crappy OL is the great denominator, everyone would look lousy.

This is bullshit. Yes they are bad but Barkley is a shell of himself, Booker needs more snaps, Glennon is a back up and so is Jones.
He's throwing to his first read most plays, even though we've generated almost no pressure except for the sack by Roche. As others have said, the game plan should have been to press his receivers at the LOS. My guess is Graham didn't want to do so because Jackson and Holmes are out. But what he's doing is just allowing Tua to dink and dunk his way down the field.
On offense, the pass blocking has been OK, although Solder was beaten badly at least once from what I saw. But the run blocking has been nonexistent.
Barkley needs to sit. I'd like to see Penny or maybe even Brightwell.
low scoring games. Feels it may be his best shot. But he is TOO conservative on both sides of the ball. Against a good team they get hammered. Next two games will be UGLY!
Some sort of demonstration. Fuck this. I don't believe for one second that all these injuries are legit, no fucking way. These players are getting away with theft. This owner is so stupid he doesn't even mention the Giants start on the road against the Cowboys every fucking year. Never utters a word because he us still making money hand over fist. But the stupid morons paying g every fucking year for this shitshow has got come to an end. We must end them winning every year. At least Coughlin had the balks to say it, and call them on it.

I'd also like to see Ross get involved.
This is still a winnable game.
Why would Graham anticipate that a dink-and-dunk offense would continue to dink-and-dunk? (sarcasm off)
He is not a special player, and he's never been one.
We drafted that guy over Josh Allen and Lamar Jackson. Wow.
It’s a fireable offense for Gettleman. Something which should be finally done tomorrow by the way. This needs to be a broad search, and it should start immediately at least with candidates not currently employed.

You’re not a fan of corners playing 6 yards off the ball on 3rd & 2???

Both Josh Allen and Lamar Jackson would be running for their lives with this shitty offensive line.
It’s not the skill position guys. As I have said since about 2012, we are not a legitimate playoff contender until we a) fix the offensive line so that it is not an issue, b) get a pass rush worth a shit.
Changing the QB may lead to an increase from 5 wins to 7 or 8. But, until you fix the engine of the car, it’s all anticlimactic bullshit.

Only an absolute moron would imply or say that Barkley was never a special talent or player.
Stop being ridiculous. It’s ok to hate Barkley and the pick but stop with the nonsense. Every scout alive LOVED Barkley.
I'd love an explanation on what McKinney's assignment was
is yet another game where the D gives up a score at the end if the half. I don't care that it was tied or this is a 1 score game. The next is I am done with Barkley. I have no use for him.
Now the Dolphins get the ball to start the 2nd half, giving them a shot to blow open the game.
You have a team with a truly terrible Offensive line, playing the backup QB sans once again it's two staring WRs. ON Defense you have a coordinator who plays the same style no matter what is happening. This game was easy to see coming.
Would rather see Defense take some chances here 2nd half
On the TD. 3 receivers on the left, 2 defenders and McKinney covering the Dolphin helmet logo in the end zone I guess.
Feagles was saying it seemed Bradberry and Ryan screwed up, both covering the same receiver. He thinks one of them was supposed to pick up Hollins. McKinney was supposed to be support.
is completing 84% of his passes and completed 21 passes total in the first half, the most by any Dolphins QB in the first half since at least 2000 according to the announcer.

I was told in this very thread, by different posters that Glennon is better. I'm waiting to see it.

And managed to look terrible while doing all of that.
just the offense and then the OL. I really like to know the decision making with the Galloday signing. Giants even have O'Brien in the front office and Judge certainly would have insight through Patricia. This signing is not off to a good start.
It just seems like you have to keeping adding needs the team has to address.

Lets continue giving Tua easy reads playing 6 yards off on 3rd and 2 - Patrick Graham
watching this team is like watching paint dry is an insult to paint.
What do you want honestly? Backup QB. All WRs are out. Oline sucks. Several Dbacks out. Still in the gave. Your guys expectations are unreal.
What do I expect? A team that can play competitive football more than once per decade.
Exactly. I don't expect world beaters today. But, why would I take solace in them losing, but keeping it close when that is every fucling week.for years? And why would I thinknif anything with the D other than allowing yet another end of half score?
be prepared for the ZERO blitz when you saw it a MILLION times this week on film?? You can’t block it up, you have to scheme the pass pattern to take advantage of it. So Glennon has to throw the ball away twice! Poor coaching.
should have caught that pass. He got two hands on it and wasn't hit. At least give yourself a chance to get a first down. Of course there was another free rusher at Glennon.
NFL starting receiver? I don’t think so.......he’s never progressed either. He seemed like he might have had a future after his rookie season, but after that nothing. We need to do better at that spot.
We get hes had bad drops. That wasn’t one of them. Horrible throw with a clean pocket on an easy comeback at the sticks. Glennon throws the ball high and away.
I haven't watched the Giants a ton this season, too depressing and dispiriting, but what snippets I've seen christian, he strikes me as one of the very, very few bright spot when he does return punts, more positive than not. I can't dispute that he might be making misjudgments on his decisions, haven't seen the team consistently.
he had Engram open and completely turned him around, made the catch impossible
No... he threw it to Engram's outside shoulder and Engram WAS looking that way. Then, when the ball was in the air Engram turned for some reason. Rewind and watch it again

100%
That’s what I saw as well
I think you're right. That was on Engram not Glennon.
They do know that Waddle is the only good player on that team, right??

He had to get rid of it and laid it up. EE turned left, then right, then left.
flat out wrong. It was a very good pass.
EE cannot read the flight of the ball. He had his head
left to the sideline, then turned it right--along with his body--to the inside and further lost tracking, before turning his head left, too late. He put himself out of position to make the catch on a perfectly well thrown ball.

I corrected myself. That was on EE with all his spinning.
Jones is the best QB on this team this year and next. Some of you people need to get over it
Why should we continue to accept that? If he is next year then get ready for a losing season and another coaching housecleaning into 2023. Rinse and repeat, going on 11 years of bad football.
Glennon just sucks. This drive was stalled by shitty qb play. 5 seconds just standing the pocket. Takes a sack. Rolls out holds the ball doesn’t throw it away. Takes a sack. This is poor play by a vet backup qb. Nothing more
would you prefer losing 5 more? i don't understand the logic of this comment
The logic is the drive is most likely dead and will result in a punt. The TO value is greater than the 5 yards you salvage with the TO. It was a fucking moronic decision in a long string of them by him this season. He sucks. I wanted to like him but he is lost.
Plenty don't. Plenty thought Gettleman had this team headed in the right direction. Plenty thought taking a running back #2 overall was a good decision.
Should not be having these same issues every week. I don't want hear that you can hear or the coms don't work. You need to plan for that. This is where Judge needs to be judged the same way he evaluates his players and he hasn't showed any improvement
Glennon sees the field better than Jones, imo. Goes thru progressions. But just isnt accurate with the ball. he'll also push the ball down the field
Jones is the complete opposite......
Accurate, but will stare down a WR. and loves the 4 yard throw
Im gonna stop u right there. Glennon does absolutely nothing - and I mean nothing- better than Jones
.
Jones may not be the answer, but Glennon is horrible at everything.
Can’t manage the game. Keeps Dixon on the team. Team is a disgrace
yeah, there are retired punters who are better. You assume the top 32 punters in the world already have a job, but this guy is not good and trying someone else cannot hurt at this point.

If you are listening to the radio broadcast, Papa ripped the use of the time out, and Banks tried to defend it, saying you don’t want to lose more yards here… But then he tried to explain himself and said “it’s just bad all around…
it's tough. even if the players have zero talent, a good HC should be able to teach them some of the basics of football. this is not just a talent issue at this point.
Judge stinks, what has he done. All these injuries scream I don't want to play here. I don't give a fuck what anyone says or thinks. They get here and see this piece of shit and decide no fucking way they are putting out for this. Running fucking laps. Get t fuck out of here, and he is list g the team. Get an outside GM and let him do his ficking job. John Mara is as big as a misfit as his father. Don't forget they had to take the franchise from his control, then things got better. Now that change is needed because the same system does not work with the people who are working it they are lost. Wellington's brother was the guy that knew what he was doing and shutface wouldn't let his son Tim gave any real say. Petty, bullshit people.
I don't care if he just got here...can it be any worse? He at least has more raw talent than Glennon.
Totally agree. There is ZERO reason to not try him. The current QB doesn't know how to run the offense, neither does the coach for that matter, so just play Fromm. Maybe sheer luck alone will make him perform better. Unfucking real.
Thinking we will see Fromm, you are nuts. He probably knows about 3 plays that are in the playbook. Unless shitty Glennon breaks his leg we will not see him
of small trash cans and have them delivered to Mara at Metlife stadium. He is going to need them. How can Glennon be our backup QB. He is a 6 foot 7 inch white flag.
are checking out. Two losses coming up and then who knows.
Hopefully wheels fall off and we clean house.
New GM, New HC, New QB, New OL
Another rebuild that will take years? Yea!?
The problem may be that they've never really rebuilt. They always seem to find a reason to believe they're just a few pieces away from contention within a season or two, and so they simply retool instead.

There was never a rebuild.
Sure there was. They've fired a GM (unheard of for the Giants), fired three head coaches, revamped the roster so many times in the last 10 years that it's almost impossible to remember all of the names.
Every time you fire a head coach, you are basically rebuilding.
Thinking we will see Fromm, you are nuts. He probably knows about 3 plays that are in the playbook. Unless shitty Glennon breaks his leg we will not see him
We realize this. The point is, a guy that knows three plays in the playbook could do at least as well as this guy that supposedly knows the playbook.

They've replaced all of the players at every position. No one is left.
RE: The 2018/2019 drafts set this franchise back a decade
I've known this for a while. He's a snake oil salesman. The Maras and the Tischs were won over by his smooth talking and his assertive presence. Truth is, it's all a show. He has no idea what he's doing and how to run a football team.
Is the Giants had the opportunity to coach him for 12 games. He isn’t a rookie. He is a noodle arm embarrassment. In addition to the rest of this embarrassing offensive effort.
What a disaster. I’ve seen enough.
This is the root of the problem. The free agent signings are a close second.
I don’t know that any coach could win with this roster, but Judge certainly can’t. He seems like a coach who will need a lot of talent to overcome his poor decision making and lack of preparation.
Is the Giants had the opportunity to coach him for 12 games. He isn’t a rookie. He is a noodle arm embarrassment. In addition to the rest of this embarrassing offensive effort.
What a disaster. I’ve seen enough.
Really don't understand why this org doesn't value backup QB more.
are checking out.
They've replaced all of the players at every position. No one is left.
Exactly Eric. I don't understand anyone that still gives them any kind of benefit of the doubt and still references a need to rebuild. Gettleman completely turned over the roster as in 100%. At what point is it his fucking team when he drafted, signed, or traded for every guy?
I went from a fan that couldn't go 30 minutes in a day without searching Giants news. Now I don't even know who our starting lineups consist of, other than the well known piles of garbage you hear about ad nauseum on main stream sports networks.
Look at the 2018 roster (midway down this page). Who is left?
You are conflating failed rebuilds with no rebuilds.
The only argument you can legitimately make is that they should have dumped Eli sooner. But right now, he doesn't look like the problem, does he? https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2018_New_York_Giants_season - ( New Window )
Its not debatable.
Its like fans saying "we didn't address the O-Line"
Its worse than not addressing it - they've continuously failed at it. Missed picks, FA signings. Constant failures.

The departures are incremental though. They occur over a series of years when they finally acknowledge that players aren't good.
In general, most of their moves reflect that they believe they're close. How many draft picks have they traded to move up, for example?
this team is bringing the play clock to 2 seconds every t=play before snapping the ball down 2 scores just shows how fucking stupid they are. And poorly coached on top of it.

Again, spot on. Even with Eli, I don't think the problem was holding on to him. The problem was not putting an OL in front of him and just assuming drafting Barkley (again with no OL) was the answer. It's not like we had just an OK OL. It was one of the worst I've ever seen. 4 years later, the OL is not any better.
But I’m sure folks here will keep making excuses. I can’t stand the excuses anymore. These are professionally paid coaches and players and executives and they literally fail as quickly and easily as waking up out of bed in the morning.
how is that possible? in the first half people here said he was better than Jones.
Do this really matter. Jones his hurt because Jones is not very good. He put himself in harms way when there are a million rules to protect a QB. Jones put us in this position. Glennon is being Glennon.

It was both. Eli was completely immobile and done. It was a mistake not to admit that and to try and build the team around him. But we also never fixed the OL.
That is what a future franchise QB with a team that is not very good looks like. There is a head coach that us young but learning to be a good coach. This piece of shut organization wouldn't know thier ass from a hole in the fucking ground. Saquan Barkley. And they sold that on a fanbase that si.pky put has become stupid, it happens to all fanbases with a garbage organization.
One way to approach things is this game could be taken as evidence to NOT stick with Jones. This is a terrible backup, but the rest of the O is pretty much what Jones has dealt with every week (injuries, execution, etc.). The game is still pretty much playing out like every other week. So, if Jones is a franchise QB and these games are close for much of the game, shouldn't he be the difference and win some games?
how is that possible? in the first half people here said he was better than Jones.

I’m fine if they move on with Jones but seeing the quality of this team, I actually think he’s been underrated this year. Im amazed they won a game.
Have always been saying that was worse than this. Fact is, the 10 years from 1970-1979 we were 50-93. Last 10 years 2012-present we are 61-94. Pretty damn close.
Going into 1980 we had Simms at QB and at the time he was getting beaten up pretty badly. With DJ this feels eerily similar. The only ray of hope is that he turns it around. The difference was we had a defensive monster in LT which we certainly do not have. We also had Perkins at HC (who was awful).
This team is not close to contending. More depressing years ahead. Sadly ( and I am usually an optimist).
Dixon should be cut immediately after the game. They can get his level or performance off the street. Gettleman should be fired. He really doesn't deserve the dignity of "retiring". He hasn't earned that; he has earned a firing.
If you had to pay Jones franchise QB money, that takes up 2 top salaries. They can't compete with Jones on the cheap. But there are still some that actually believe he would be fine with a good offensive line. LOL. Next week the Cgargers will destroy this piece of shit team.

Because we’ve seen jones with good pass pro right? Today was the best effort pass blocking we’ve seen in a few years it wasted on Glennon. Taking sacks and missing open WRs.
Gm doesn’t design plays or game plans, he also doesn’t utilize TOs in the game. He also doesn’t decide to not go for it on 4th. Head coach sucks he should be the one fired

Then again I saw him make some pretty nice throws too. Maybe make up your fucking mind who is playing and give them all the practice
Signed off on this piece of shit as backup QB. A downgrade from last year. That is how much Judge knows. I said it three weeks back tat Jones would ve out as usual for this stretch. Tells you everything you need to know.
this year. I don’t want to hear about the OL or receivers or QB. Other coaching staffs manage to get SOMETHING accomplished. This staff and HC seem totally overmatched. Unfortunately, Mara won’t be able to see this and use the injuries as an excuse, and we will get the same crap next year.

Great… now all we need is the first overall pick in a draft with an absolute consensus #1 stud QB.
I said he made some throws jones could not make. I said he completed more passes to golladay in 1 qtr. all true no?
Maybe practice Glennon the whole time when you know jones is out for the season or whatever his deal is than play games ? Offense looked totally lost with no idea where to line up and presumably what thebpkay was.

Here's the bottom line. After next year, Jones isn't cheap to keep. They aren't likely to just fix the OL. So, I see no reason to wait for him to have a good OL to make a decision on him.

ownership always hires the head coaches, you should know that by now.
Maras hired the coach. DG has been here for the ride. He’s not making big decisions and hasn’t for a while. DG hired Shurmur. That was his guy. Judge was not his selection. Judge is a bad coach. In game management has been terrible week after week
Looks like a fucking choir boy mire then a football player. No fire, looks like he is terrified, especially when the game is on tge line, he stinks more then ever in those spots.

Only on BBI can we find a way to critize a guy who didn’t even play.
Typical fan knee jerk nonsense. The season is essentially over. What is the benefit of turning the team upside down NOW vs the end of the season?
Plus the team is flying to Arizona after this game to practice there for the Arizona game. Judge is not getting fired tonight
What is the benefit? Fucking starting your GM search. You can interview candidates immediately if they aren’t employed. This needs to be a long, wide ranging search.
D played will. Backup QB couldn’t make the throws we needed and Oline is horse shit.
I wouldn't say the D played well.
20 points. Bunch of 3 and outs. That’s plenty good enough to win.
You can’t expect more than that without really good pass rusher.
I would expect a good defense to not almost surrender a touchdown at the end of the first half. It's like clock work except for that stupid interception by Hurts last week.
Driving down field and looked decent so the clown punts on 4th and 2
Agreed. At this point he just seems to be pig-headed stubborn. convinced that he is the next Belichek
Im beginning to come around to the fact the whole thing has to be blown up....but what GM/HC with past success is going to come to "The Firm"- Maraville. To much interference
You cannot get College Coaches anymore- they make too much
DB Steven Parker - Free Agent Signing from NYG Practice Squad
Crazy prediction, he's gonna take one to the house today!

Crazy prediction, he's gonna take one to the house today!
We lose the QB run stuff but maybe that was a crutch- too easily called and relied on.
And yet we can't bring the heat on quarterbacks going the other way... if we're actually trying.
No it is not. Some players take a long time to get their shit together. He was a project when drafted. They need to keep working him.
QB Daniel Jones (neck)
CB Adoree' Jackson (quad)
WR Kadarius Toney (oblique/quad)
WR Sterling Shepard (quad)
OLB Oshane Ximines
G Wes Martin
We might win if that's the case. Why would they fear Barkley?
afterwards...inquiring minds want to know.
We featured Barkley too much on that drive.
Eh, your gonna need your D to play well to win today. Might as well set them up
One of these days we will find a QB who can throw a screen that puts a RB in a position to succeed
Just like all season.
Bad o-line will do that to an offense.

In glennons defense, he had to throw one over a defender in his face
I hope you and anyone else with you are OK.
Feel better. Or whoever you are with.
We play too soft of a defense imo. It’s not awful but we give up a lot of yards to be playing field position games.
No way should judge be back next year fuck the optics he suckd
When is the last time we launched a deep pass- the TD to Engram?
No way should judge be back next year fuck the optics he suckd
No 10 yards short. Had we not converted they would have been in FG range
Let’s fucking go offense! Get some Barkley! Drive the ball down their fucking throats! LFG Big Blue!
Only if he does it twice in a row
Just don’t get it. The rule has always been to let it go if you’re inside the 10. Totally fucking stupid.
I'm OK with Cooper catching that ball. There was a Miami player right in front of him who might have downed it even closer to the goal line.
Giants punted
Dolphins punted
Giants starting inside their 10
CBs actually played with in 10 yards on the Miami 3rd and 6
You would too if you had zero blockers and four guys in front of you.
Shit play design, shit play execution.
Well, maybe not so frozen.
You need 11 heck throws 11 yards
ALso Glennon sucks. that ball was severely underthrown
Judge better make sure these guys don’t check out, that’ll bleed into next few weeks…….
Yes he was. thought for sure that's where he would go. Nope went with one read. Sound familiar?
😂
Now do your part Teams and Offense! Make some fucking plays!
He has. He looks like a possible rotational guy in there going forward and good to see coaches using him more instead of Ximines and Carter.
Another nice stop by the defense.
Now stop running Barkley into the line. Use him as a decoy instead. Or play Booker.
Quote:
WIDE OPEN.

+2.
seriously?
Our line is shit, the end.
yeah ok but a long pass INT is as good as a punt
Agree. Let’s hope Ballless Joe doesn’t put the chains on Freddy now.
Yeah. I don't absolutely hate an INT on a play where you're going for a score. The worst outcome means they're pinned inside the 10.

was more effective than a Riley Dixon punt

An interception that's thrown directly into the hands of a linebacker bother me a lot more than the type that Glennon just tossed
Close!

It's fine on 3rd and long, but not when you're driving.
Rip that page out and burn it
Wtf - where was the play clock?
Hire someone to do it for you if you can’t. That’s what good managers do.
Don’t understand the use there?!

Bad decision, but the line held up and they took a shot. That’s been something many folks on here have wanted to see.

Agree. Let’s hope Ballless Joe doesn’t put the chains on Freddy now.

Isn’t that what Handley did for Parcells?
Good plays too. Back shoulder throws and outs. Just didn't see that before.
He has 2 catches dog
You play through if you are not sure, I mean this is basic shit.
You're argument makes no sense. Garrett was the OC during that time. Use your tiny brain
It's fucking ridiculous
This feels over dramatic. The play clock was running concurrent to the game clock. Saved 5 yards.
On the TV the play lock had about a quarter second more time.
Regardless, is 40 seconds not long enough to get a play off?
Yeah, this is what I initially thought too. It sounds like someone made a mistake.
Barkley with the drop.
Put it through Gano!
Barkley with the drop.
What else is new!
Engram whiffed and Barkley got run over. Good Christ.
If he would even get to being an average RB it would be lovely.
Barkley has become an unusable player he hasn’t really been effective at anything this year. Can’t run, or block and has been marginal as a receiver. Not so sure he’ll ever become much more on this team?!
The run blocking is atrocious
Newsflash- He just SUCKS. He is killing us
Engram whiffed and Barkley got run over. Good Christ.
As big and strong as Barkley is, it is amazing he is such a miserable blocker.
He's a 185 lb running back in a 235 lb bruiser's body.

The secondary is holding up well considering that Robinson has to start and J. Williams is playing his first game this year.

This is Jacksons first game missed? He has played well this year my ire would not be on him.

Yup.
Glenon looked decent.
okay... whatever you say Producer
Another guy who’s been a total disappointment since his rookie year
Slayton was badly popped. Don't blame him for dropping that pass.
Solder was horribly beaten on that play.
Agree - we should be moving in this off-season if possible
if you think he's better than barkley your smoking something good
if you think he's better than barkley your smoking something good
CAn we get Atlanta agree to a handshake agreement to put Gallman on waivers.
They are terrible pickups! Look at even Glennon?? Meanwhile Eagles picked up Minshew! DG is terrible and needs to get fired. They made no effort to provide a solid QB backup for a questionable Daniel Jones?!? Giants Org does not have a clue..
We had focus?
And Garrett. Jones and Garrett nowhere to be seen and we still can't score. What's the constant here?
Yeah, I don’t know why that wasn’t a personal foul.
Getting much needed experience too
we cannot stop 5 yard routes...PLAY FUCKING PRESS and attack the ball... tua jus stares down his WR and throws a 5 yard pass...
Quote:
Golladay realize he got hurt when the guy punched the ball out when he was out of bounds, punched him in the ribs instead- no penalty. Not his fault.
Yeah, I don’t know why that wasn’t a personal foul.
I thought that's when he got hurt as well. Nothing you can do. Players get hurt. It's not his fault. The frustration is that we massively overpaid for him and were essentially bidding against ourselves for his services during FA.
Both teams

First 5
I don't hate him, but his career has fizzled since his rookie season due to injury and being on a shitty team. It's disappointing, but not surprising with it comes to this team. It's an endless line of disappointments.
Barkley is not a NY Giants RB. I cant stand watching him play anymore.

Bold take. I'd go as far to say that Barkley and Slayton dropping the ball...and the OLine not being able to create any push is more to blame. But sure...QB
his arm is dogshit
We haven’t
Barkley is not a NY Giants RB. I cant stand watching him play anymore.
Otis Anderson too.
Barkley is not a NY Giants RB. I cant stand watching him play anymore.
He is the definition of a soft player. He seems terrified to absorb any contact. As soon as he touches the ball he is looking to get to the sideline or curl up in a ball to protect himself.
Now that's funny. Imagine someone here saying Judge is a good coach despite our losing record two years in a row?
This is a poorly coached team in all phases of the game.
We've now scored one TD in our last six quarters.
It was def a catch
More terrible Giants coaching. Nothing new. Giants need to clear house on coaches imo..
Watches.
Nothing more.
Never blitzes.
Defense still only gave up 10 point. I wish we did have a great QB. We have NO QB worth anything on the roster.
I’d explain it to you, but you wouldn’t understand. In fact, no one with a brain would understand.
This guy’s two downfield passes were two of the most wobbly throws ever, but the Giants will allow him to dink and dunk 80 yards, even on 3rd and short/goal line situations.
Agree 💯! Fucking horrible. Every fucking game.
Should we be happy with this?
It’s not an either or. The QB is also a problem. Glennon comes in for Jones and it is the same offense. There is no real drop off from Jones to Glennon.
Timeout
Yep we have a lot of issues, but it's bad that Glennon looks like a better passer than DJ. I don't know if it's coaching or what, but before KG went out he was getting him the ball much better than we've seen from DJ.

As opposed to our all world OLine, RBs, and WRs.
He went to Yale… he can do math.
Defense against a team with one good receiver and a QB with a wet noodle for an arm? He can’t do that.

If we had the other pieces, I would understand trying to get a great QB via trade or high draft pick. As it is, we need OL and LB’s as we have needed since about 2012.
i feel if they are going to run that play, it should at least be to the rb that could break one. makes no sense

Miami is a better team than the Giants.
Agree on Golladay. Fuck, I cannot tell you how many games I played with broken ribs... for free.
We have a collection of fragile guys (not) playing a tough person’s game.
As pointed out above, this team is just flat out boring. Even if their strategies work its like watching paint dry.

That's debatable. I've seen Jones drove us down the field and score FGs at a better rate than Glennon so far. Our only FG under Glennon came when our offense started in FG range

It’s definitely not the complete lack of blocking, linebacker play, or pass rush.
It’s not an either or. The QB is also a problem. Glennon comes in for Jones and it is the same offense. There is no real drop off from Jones to Glennon.
That's debatable. I've seen Jones drove us down the field and score FGs at a better rate than Glennon so far. Our only FG under Glennon came when our offense started in FG range
I have preferred Glennon's decision making over Jones at this point.
I think you've been saying this but welcome to the club anyway.

Losing 10-3 to Miami at the half? Lol what garbage.

Miami is a better team than the Giants.
Agree on Golladay. Fuck, I cannot tell you how many games I played with broken ribs... for free.
Oh yeah I'm jealous of them and their 7 losses.
Broken ribs? Eh. Get back out there pussy.
I am STILL waiting for these useless reporters to come back later in the week to ask the questions again after Judge has had time to look at the tape.
It was somehow worse than that.
Broken ribs? Eh. Get back out there pussy.
exactly my point...
We drafted that guy over Josh Allen and Lamar Jackson. Wow.
I'd also like to see Ross get involved.
This is still a winnable game.
We drafted that guy over Josh Allen and Lamar Jackson. Wow.
He was his rookie season.
BTW - both Jackson & Allen would be getting killed here too.

Well, the Bears drafted Trubisky over Mahomes and traded up for him as well.

Seriously we need that to happen or this asshole will be here next year.
This hasn’t sunk in for a number of BBIers
Will ownership stick to a coach that can’t get the team playing better? New GM and direction? New QB?
We drafted that guy over Josh Allen and Lamar Jackson. Wow.

Stop being ridiculous. It’s ok to hate Barkley and the pick but stop with the nonsense. Every scout alive LOVED Barkley.

I cannot fathom how bad a player Barkley has become. Dropping passes and not handling pass protections has nothing to do with injuries.

So many Giant fans are stuck in 1995. The defense has been fine.
Lets continue giving Tua easy reads playing 6 yards off on 3rd and 2 - Patrick Graham
Anyone blaming the defense trying to cling to these 3 or 10 or 13 point leads is pathetic.

Yes. He looks like he is a big part of the future. The defense is actually real close to being real good. The offense....
They bring an extra rusher, golladay doubled, shouldn’t someone have been open?

Glennon is here because anyone better would have threatened Jones's scholarship.

He spun one way then went the other way.
No... he threw it to Engram's outside shoulder and Engram WAS looking that way. Then, when the ball was in the air Engram turned for some reason. Rewind and watch it again

He had to get rid of it and laid it up. EE turned left, then right, then left.
EE cannot read the flight of the ball. He had his head
left to the sideline, then turned it right--along with his body--to the inside and further lost tracking, before turning his head left, too late. He put himself out of position to make the catch on a perfectly well thrown ball.

Sure there was. They've fired a GM (unheard of for the Giants), fired three head coaches, revamped the roster so many times in the last 10 years that it's almost impossible to remember all of the names.
Every time you fire a head coach, you are basically rebuilding.

Coaching & personnel misses lead us to where we are but they totally tried to rebuild. Key word - tried.

You’ll be back next week..we all will..to watch the NYG get crushed in LA
I saw a lot of positives today.
Look at the 2018 roster (midway down this page). Who is left?
You are conflating failed rebuilds with no rebuilds.
The only argument you can legitimately make is that they should have dumped Eli sooner. But right now, he doesn't look like the problem, does he?

What a disaster. I’ve seen enough.
Really don't understand why this org doesn't value backup QB more.

New GM, New HC, New QB, New OL
Another rebuild that will take years? Yea!?
The problem may be that they've never really rebuilt. They always seem to find a reason to believe they're just a few pieces away from contention within a season or two, and so they simply retool instead.
They've replaced all of the players at every position. No one is left.
I went from a fan that couldn't go 30 minutes in a day without searching Giants news. Now I don't even know who our starting lineups consist of, other than the well known piles of garbage you hear about ad nauseum on main stream sports networks.
Yeah. Suck.
Glennon blows. So does Jones.

No he didn’t. He said 0-11 without Jones. Has Jones missed 11 games this year?
Why does it take 30 seconds for the Giants to call a play and get lined up all game?

Its not debatable.
Its like fans saying "we didn't address the O-Line"
Its worse than not addressing it - they've continuously failed at it. Missed picks, FA signings. Constant failures.

The departures are incremental though. They occur over a series of years when they finally acknowledge that players aren't good.
In general, most of their moves reflect that they believe they're close. How many draft picks have they traded to move up, for example?
no.
Miami is forcing the issue, but the Giants are also not a well oiled machine and the Oline is not allowing them to operate
I am sure it is on film...
no... did you?

how is that possible? in the first half people here said he was better than Jones.
I don’t think that’s going to be an issue!

But I’m sure folks here will keep making excuses. I can’t stand the excuses anymore. These are professionally paid coaches and players and executives and they literally fail as quickly and easily as waking up out of bed in the morning.
Hard to watch.

Do this really matter. Jones his hurt because Jones is not very good. He put himself in harms way when there are a million rules to protect a QB. Jones put us in this position. Glennon is being Glennon.

It was both. Eli was completely immobile and done. It was a mistake not to admit that and to try and build the team around him. But we also never fixed the OL.
The Giants only have 27 players for 2023.
Thank you Jim, I chuckled

Our best chance for a touchdown is with our defense on the field ha
Thank God, take it to the bank.
WHO CARES!!!! They both stink. It’s like comparing terminal illnesses.
Oops.
What an embarrassing franchise.

I’m fine if they move on with Jones but seeing the quality of this team, I actually think he’s been underrated this year. Im amazed they won a game.

What an embarrassing franchise.
4 and THIRTEEN.
The Giants only have 27 players for 2023.
I'm hoping none of these players are on the team in three years.
What an embarrassing franchise.
4-13?
What an embarrassing franchise.
4-13 **
Going into 1980 we had Simms at QB and at the time he was getting beaten up pretty badly. With DJ this feels eerily similar. The only ray of hope is that he turns it around. The difference was we had a defensive monster in LT which we certainly do not have. We also had Perkins at HC (who was awful).
This team is not close to contending. More depressing years ahead. Sadly ( and I am usually an optimist).

Yeah. That. Thanks.
Gardner Minshew may have been there for the taking and lo and behold, he's doing very well for the Eagles today.
Then again I saw him make some pretty nice throws too. Maybe make up your fucking mind who is playing and give them all the practice
Mara will post an ad on Facebook
Absolutely no offense.
Some of us wanted a better backup QB
We didn't try to find a better one because we didn't want to threaten Jones's scholarship.
On 2nd and 23! great use of A TO

Practically Andrew Thomas, Ojulari, and McKinney are good values and will difficult to replace their cost/benefit if traded.
Those are the only players I think are locks.

Sadly, you’re 100% correct.
Because we’ve seen jones with good pass pro right? Today was the best effort pass blocking we’ve seen in a few years it wasted on Glennon. Taking sacks and missing open WRs.

Maybe Roche and Robinson as well.
Lol why are you making posts shitting on Jones on the game thread in a game he's not even playing in?

Why Glennon played as long as he did is mind-boggling
Not sure you understand, the GM hired the coach. He also hired the players.

Problem is. The offense looked the same with Jones. We don't score in the Redzone. We finally started running the ball and then abandoned it.
Typical fan knee jerk nonsense. The season is essentially over. What is the benefit of turning the team upside down NOW vs the end of the season?
Plus the team is flying to Arizona after this game to practice there for the Arizona game. Judge is not getting fired tonight
Quote:
If you had to pay Jones franchise QB money, that takes up 2 top salaries. They can't compete with Jones on the cheap. But there are still some that actually believe he would be fine with a good offensive line. LOL. Next week the Cgargers will destroy this piece of shit team.

First of all, it puts everyone on notice. Failure gets the boot. Second, it enables them to start preparing to hire a GM in earnest.
I wouldn't say the D played well.
Only on BBI can we find a way to critize a guy who didn’t even play.

What is the benefit? Fucking starting your GM search. You can interview candidates immediately if they aren’t employed. This needs to be a long, wide ranging search.
Remind me what they did I with him?

You can’t expect more than that without really good pass rusher.
I would expect a good defense to not almost surrender a touchdown at the end of the first half. It's like clock work except for that stupid interception by Hurts last week.

Im beginning to come around to the fact the whole thing has to be blown up....but what GM/HC with past success is going to come to "The Firm"- Maraville. To much interference
You cannot get College Coaches anymore- they make too much
