For those who are Twitter fans, ProFootballDoc is a great follow. Always comments on players injuries(Ex NFL Team Head Doctor). He believes that Jones injury could be a Disc issue and prolonged absence. He followed up that it will most likely be season ending.
This makes the most sense as Giants aren’t signing Fromm off PS of another team for a strain.
Regardless, QBs should never have designed runs between the tackles in the NFL.
Chocco why so hostile on game day, hence why he used the word “could”. Someone asked him if it was a disc injury would it be season ending. “He said likely”
Giant fans live in fairyland, if this was a neck strain he would be playing today, if this was a neck strain they wouldn’t sign Fromm off a PS. Fromm also wouldn’t have agreed to come to NY for one game.
That would seem like medical malpractice.

No idea, he is just throwing shit out there. He didn't say it was he said it could be based on the fact that he may be out more than one week. He is right is could be, it also may not be, but that's not as good of headline

Sorry, as a healthcare professional I get gets pissed when other healthcare professionals do this shit. He has no idea what is going on. He is just throwing shit out there to create headlines and get likes, comments and views. It has less to do with my feeling for the Giants and more to do with my feelings for the industry that I work in.
I'm a Chiropractor whose office obtains over 400 cervical (neck) MRIs per year.
Positive findings including disc bulges and herniations is @ 95%. If we only include disc herniations it's @ 75%.
So it would be rare NOT to have a disc finding of some sort in a patient with trauma as described with Jones however there is also no certainty that any disc findings is related to the trauma as approximately 20%-50% (depending on age group) of asymptomatic (people with no neck complaints) individuals have disc findings via MRI.
So, I would expect a positive MRI regarding disc findings with Jones however those findings would have to be correlated with symptoms and objective physical examination as well as other tests such as EMGs.
This stuff is not simple and probably is not particularly appropriate subject matter for this board.
Majority of disc issues don’t require surgery.. most are treatable with therapy.. now some do require surgery. I have had 2 back surgeries and I am also a PT..
I agree. I think he’s the most NFL pro style ready QB in the draft
Narrowing of spine. Compressed disc etc
Thing is I never know it’s there
My chiro swore I would need back surgery because my hip replacement was killing me. Said 8t was referred pain from back
Mri said my back had some moderate spine narrowing and such
Well it was my hip that was failing, replacement was loose. Had it replaced again
Back never had any discomfort since
Neck. X-ray at 19. Chiropractor says it’s pretty jammed up and compressed. Gonna give me issues. Played ball another 20 yrs
At 58, besides normal tightness in morning ( like everything else), neck feels pretty good. 40 yrs later
Moral of the story. Beware what’s under the hood when u get imaging but not necessarily the end
If we do pick a QB this draft this is who I want. I would prefer a trade down a little with one of the picks to get him.

Mic Drop Post, if I have ever read one.
