I suspect we'll be moving up closer to #1 soon enough.
I think the Lions, Texans and Jaguars have secured the top-3 picks. 4 and 5 should be the goal. Let's hope Zach Wilson can win some games for the Jets and the Seahawks win some games.

Good to know.
Giants are going to have their 2 picks somewhere from 5-10
Detroit, Houston, Jacksonville and the Jets will be picking before the Giants & Bears. They could get to 5 and the Giants and Bears are not going to drop further then 10. I could see them having 6 & 8 when it is all said and done.
Bears play the Packers, Minny twice, Giants and Seahawks.
Not exactly a Murderers' Row. Hope Minnesota doesn't completely unravel after losing today to Detroit. Not sure why Rodgers would ever want to leave that garbage division.
before the picks. That has to be addressed properly to change the course of the current franchise. They will have a lot of opportunity to improve the team next draft.
It will be more of the same. Stick with Jones for the next two seasons. Build out the O line and D line/ LB corp and then you get your QB. Its quite easy really. Cluster draft O linemen this year first three picks.
Who amoungst us would be unhappy with that???
If Mike Glennon and Jake Fromm are the QBs the rest of the year

I wouldn’t. The Giants need edge talent as well and it’s not easy to find outside of the top of the draft.
The Giants will 5 picks in the first 3 rounds. They need to come out of that with at least 1 premium edge and 3 OL.
RE: Perfect..in what looks like a draft with just 5 blue chip talents
"football decisions" it won't matter where we pick. No good GM candidate is going to want to come here. The good ones want complete control on football decisions and the Maras are the farthest thing from that. Chris Mara Vice President of Player Personnel...what a joke! You want things to change? Put heat on the Maras (yes media I am talking to you) to get their noses out of the football side of the operations.

Exactly. All this talk means nothing. It’s a family owned company and they are going to hired relatives and others close to them. Giants fans. It’s over! I’ve seen this act before. 60’s and 70’s. There is no Pete Rozelle to help bail us out

This. So far we've seen one guy in the media call out Chris Mara as the problem. We need a lot more.
John does share part of the blame, but zeroing in on Chris Mara exposes the most damaging thing the Maras have done - interfere with the personnel - which have been wretched since Chris took over in 2012.
We've won Superbowls with John sitting in his seat and he'll hide behind that. We've done squadoo since Chris took his.
Looking at the remaining schedules they might leapfrog Seattle but I think 5th is as high as they're gonna get. Even if they end up with the same record as the Jets they lose out on strength of schedule.

Fine with improving the lines, but I want no part of Jones after this season
instead, the focus should be on finding two players who can be quality starters for many years in the league.
Stop trying to strike gold with every pick because nobody really knows anyway.
Most of the top players in the league at their respective positions were not even taken in the top 10 of the draft and some not even in the first round.
So if you have a team doing a good job with talent evaluation and coaches who know how to develop players, then everything will fall into place. (unfortunately, we do not have either of the two)
If stingley and Hamilton are bpa when we pick. I mean take the talent but the ol and edge will continue to suffer.
With the Giants luck, This probably happens since DBs are the one area they are strong at, especially at safety and I love Hamilton. But like ERs, you can never have enough CBs.
Plenty of guys for us to select even after hutch and thibs are gone
I've enjoyed all the excellent analysis and back and forth on this page. I've just been allowed back in after, what three years in exile? Apparently it wasn't for mocking Ellie Mae.
I don't get to watch much this year, but I don't need to watch to know that Barkley is doing his best Tucker Fredrickson. Is it his body or the O-line?
I will continue to lurk and enjoy.
RE: RE: Perfect..in what looks like a draft with just 5 blue chip talents
I think the Seahawks will win at least 2 more games
so Chicago will be pick #5 (we need the Vikes to beat them twice)
New Orleans should win 2 mores too
Carolina are dangerous
Atlanta should win 1-2 more games
so finally I think the order will be:
#1 Jacksonville Evan Neal
#2 Detroit Aidan Hutchinson
#3 Houston Kayvon Thibodeaux
#4 NY Jets Derek Stingley
#5 NYG (Bears) Trade down (Atlanta) who wants a QB
#6 Carolina Kyle Hamilton
#7 NYG Trade down (Denver) who wants a QB
#8 Phila (Miami) George Karlaftis
#9 NYG (Atlanta) Tyler Linderbaum
#10 Las Vegas Ahmad Gardner
#11 NYG (Denver) Kenyon Green
Round 2: David Ojabo
Round 3: Zion Nelson
Round 3: Charlie Kolar
#5 traded to Atlanta in return of pick #9 and a first round pick in 2023
and
# 7 traded to Denver in return of pick #11 and a first round pick in 2023
so next year we will have 3 #1 first round pick and we can easily target our new QB Stroud or Young

I'm all about this and would be ecstatic if it worked out this way. I want ammo going into the 2023 draft and come away with a QB1 for it. I like your picks for this draft as well.

Next TWO seasons?
I don't see how they can justify picking up the 5th year option at this point (and they have to decide this offseason, prior to his 4th year). I can get behind keeping him for next year, and if he makes huge progress with a (hopefully) improved OL, as many fans cling their last remaining hope for DJ to, then either tag him or sign him to a second contract at that point. But the 5th year option is going to be north of $21M for DJ, and it's hard to see how that makes sense right now.
That doesn't mean they have to go shopping hungry in 2023 if they do let DJ walk. They'll be able to find a placeholder journeyman for less than $21M.

Hope so at this point assuming that Gettleman is history before the draft.

J E T S jets jets jets too.
Like a competent owner, GM and HC. Nothing positive is happening until the right changes up top are made.
No. Not good enough for a trade up.

Hutchinson might go 1.

The win against the Eagles and the Bears' last play win against Detroit were killers for draft position.

Russell Wilson is again looking terrible.
Look to see how the QBs stack up but don’t overdraft. Have early picks in 2nd and 3rd.

Chin up this is a really good draft. Very early in the process now.

we'll definitely be picking in the top 5. Bring on Aidan Hutchinson and Evan Neal

Detroit is slotted at #1 and he plays for Michigan. I think it's a dead lock.

In this scenario below, how much would you be willing to give up to move up to snag Neal. It would not be both #1s. Jax needs picks.
