Jaguars
Texans
Lions
Jets
Then us and the Bears. I'll predict that the Seahawks have a better record than both us and the Bears.
Say this is what happens:
Lions - Matt Corral
Jaguars - Kayvon Thibodeaux
Texans - Aidan Hutchinson
Jets - Evan Neal
What would you do?
For me, without knowing the extent of his health, I'd go with CB Derek Stingley Jr. at 5. I do worry about the injury history, but he may have had the best freshman season by a CB in CFB history. His sophomore season wasn't as good as his freshman season, but he was banged up throughout. He has true lockdown potential.
Then it gets a bit interesting: At 6, Kyle Hamilton, Ickey Ekwonu and George Karlaftis III would all be in the conversation. I'd probably go Ickey, but man oh man it would be so difficult passing on a unicorn like Kyle Hamilton or an EDGE guy like Karlaftis.
BUT I would trade the Number 5 and either a second or third pick (depending on what the draft trade chart says) to the number two or three pick IF Hutchinson is there. We need a premier player.
i hope the 2 best players are big men. that would be ideal.
but don't reach for a QB, don't reach for Erick Flowers, don't panic and pick Cedric Jones. just build the team the right way. it's likely the OL will suck next year anyway. no single rookie is going to change that.
Exactly.. agree..
Then that's Stingley and Hamilton. But Hamilton is a S and as good as he is, I don't think you can justify taking a S (albeit a versatile one) that high.
So I'd be more than happy with Derek Stingley Jr. and Ickey Ekwonu.
Might be a bit high, but I love NC State OT Ikem Ekwonu as well. I’d take him that high. I think he’ll end up moving up draft board in the pre-draft process anyways.

But if no trade I would take in general - of course they have to be near the value.
1st pick- Edge-- George Karlaftis
2nd pick - OT - Charlie Cross
3rd pick - OG - Zion Johnson
4th pick- OC-- Alec Lindstrom/Jarret Patterson
5th pick - Edge - Arnold Ebiketie
6th pick - TE - Jahleel Billingsley/Cade Otton
7th pick - TE - Charlie Kolar
8th pick - ILB - Ellis Brooks
9th pick - DT - DJ Dale
10th pick- OT - Dylan Wonnum

I've gotten up to 17 picks with PFN at one time. Though my stpick was 38. But I can get/ you can too get about 14/15 picks.
But I'm with ya-- if Hutchinson is available- he wasn't on the latest I did- I'd go for him. And Brandon Smith is awesome. You know on PFN back in Oct he was about late 3rd round or 4th round? I used to make sure I'd get him in early 3rd. And Devin Lloyd was ranked about 44. SO I always gout him before that.
Yes you can. "The perfect" position player doesn't exist other than Lawrence Taylor.
8. Evan Neal OT Alabama
18. Tyler Linderbaum C Iowa
38. Kenny Pickett QB Ptt
43. Sam Williams EDGE Ole Miss
55. Arnold Ebiketie EDGE Penn State
69. Justyn Ross WR Clemson
76. Henry To’o To’o LB Alabama
93. Jerome Ford RB Cincinnati
111. John Metchie III WR Alabama
118. Jalyn Armour-Davis CB Alabama
184. Sterling Weatherford S Miami Ohio
190. Grant Calcaterra TE SMU
227. Kayden Lyles G Texas A&M

Pretty good start to the latest rebuild project.
