and it f*** blows. One keeper is Thomas, missed on 4/5 drafts, and really if you go back to 2012, who hasn't been a bust for the most part?
David Wilson (injured), Pugh (better after he left), Odell (Hit), Flowers (Bust), Engram(Pretty much a bust), Barkley (wayyy overrated), Jones (low end starter/backup QB), Thomas (above average player), Toney (injured).
Two defensive picks--Amukamara(average at best), Apple (disaster) also have given us virtually nothing.
What an absolutely disastrous decade of drafts.
Next decade, draft O-Lineman, EDGE Rushers, and a good QB, and that's the bulk of what you need to do to win in this league.
Our scouting department seems to be good at only two things, Wide Receivers and Defensive Tackles, maybe safety. But all not premiere positions.
Clean house after this season. Not sure about Judge because the available head coaches don't seem that good. But if the new GM wants a fresh start, i'm fully supportive of moving on from Judge.
What gives me hope with Judge is while he has been around the Giants have drafted Thomas -- who looks like a pillar, and Toney -- who appears to be an electric talent (just get him on the field). Ojulari looks to be an ascending player. I like some of the other drafted pieces too. It already seems better than year's past.
Plus the acquisition of a ton of draft capital this year from the trade downs last year (no way that was Gettleman), and I think you have the beginnings of being able to actual build a proper foundation.
Robinson looks promising and I like Holmes more than most.
Does not excuse waste of draft capital but there are some hits.
Not keeping the few food guys they did like LinJo and Tomlinson. This organization was ruined the minute Reese hired Ross and the Mara's really jumped into their 70s mode
And they probably won't as long as John Mara owns the team. He is as myopic an owner as has ever existed in pro sports.
