I know this is rather obvious but it has to be said. At his first press conference, Gettleman said the OL was number one priority and four years later he has failed miserably.
By extension, I am mad about all these injured puff receivers but the reality is we will not get better until the OL gets fixed. Our D is solid and needs continued depth and a pass rusher.
But the OL has to be a focus in the draft and free agency. Thomas is the only active guy I would keep. Gates and Lemieux are good depth. I question if they are starters. Until the OL gets better, we are done. Seems simple but the morons covering the Giants can’t get that right.
We are paying a big price for not drafting Quentin Nelson. To paraphrase Gettleman, he is much closer to a gold jacket than 26 is.
