You need 2 Pass rushers to add to this group. When the Giants were great, they had multiple players that could rush the passer which also allows you to sustain some injuries. If we add Hutchinson and he gets hurt then your rush is back to what you see now.

The online we need LG, Center, RG and RT. Maybe on of those is on the roster now and Gates recovers but you can’t relie on that..

With that being said, to say six players, you also have to accept Jones will be great with a strong o-line, Barkley’s knee will rebound, Martinez will rebound, our receivers will stay healthy, and We draft well for depth.

I can go along for that right but you are not going to find a lot of supporters even with 6

They are getting pressure with the guys they have, amazingly, but an exceptional pass rusher could be added and it would be a really good thing. But it's not as much a need as addressing QB, LG, C, RG, and RT, meaningfully. And the best they can do at QB this offseason is a stopgap QB, probably.

We haven't had anyone rush for over 100 yards all season. Please tell me how a new QB will fix that.

when we pick. I'm hoping there are a couple top shelf OTs there when we pick. Yes, I'd use both picks to take both of them.

A QBs best friend is a solid OL that can run block and pass blocking would be the bonus. Right now our OL can't block for either. Make defenses respect the run. This is also the defenses best friend as a run game takes time off the clock and let's the defense rest. This is the way it's been and hasn't really changed.

The trenches are the foundation and our foundation is well below code. It's buckling and causing damage everywhere else. This can be seen with all the injuries.

There is a very good success rate with moving OTs to OGs. Overdraft OT, make them fight it out for LT and RT (Thomas is unlikely to be unseated). If they don't want to move to OG (i.e. Flowers) then they can play BW (Bench Warmer) until they change their mind. With this team, one of the two OTs will get injured and then they will get their shot at OT.

Our defense is average but with no pass rush so I get the desire for a pass rusher. However, the offense is the bottom of the league and it starts with the foundation.

Disagree. Jones might not be the guy but he's capable of winning games on an improved team. Even accounting for positional value he's not the biggest culprit in this mess.

IK they are backups, but who knows what they have in Lemieux, Gates injury may be career ending, and Hernandez is a backup and likely gone.
We need LBs, and dependable WRs.
Fixing the OL is critical. Fortunately it’s a good OL draft and they have 5 picks in what appears to be the top 70-75 selections.

In regards to this pass rush…..your pass rush WILL NOT be effective when you drop your back seven 15 yards off the ball. You open up the middle every time for the simple drop off. The bend but don’t break philosophy that our brilliant DC employs does nothing to help our 3 or 4 man rush, especially between the 20’ s. He coaches scared in my opinion and it is painful to watch….I’m not saying we have the best players by any stretch but we sure as hell don’t get creative to pester the QB.

So unfortunately for us fans, the Giants need a new coaching staff to go along with a GM and FO reboot. Honestly, you can move on at QB but don't reach. BPA in the draft and pay FA's who are reliably healthy and can fill roles. Don't go for the Golladay 'home run' player signing until you have a winning season and are a playoff or close team. Reality is the OL has more holes. You need a strong center and an upgrade at Guard. The defense needs a reliable MLB 'qb' type who can stay healthy. They need a TE who doesn't fumble the game away and can stay healthy. So, yeah we are close, but so far away.......

On the OL excluding AT, the rest of the OL needs to be rebuilt mostly through the draft.
Need 2 Edge players and move Dexter to NT.I am out on Carter and Ximines. Need to see more of Roche and Smith next year.
Need 2 LB's . Don't know what Martinez will be like after his rehab.Crowder and Ragland are backups.
Need a TE for sure to replace Engram.
Biggest ? is what do we do at QB next year.How severe is DJ's neck injury. I believe the Giants want him to play at least next year. I am warming to the idea of drafting Ridder from Cinn. in the second round.

They are at least four players away just on the OL. And a stud pass rusher or two and another ILB and a couple of good two way TEs. And that’s conceding the QB and RB which even as an optimistic guy is a huge question. Yikes! Manny! Really!

Because rushing for over 100 yards is not a prerequisite for winning to nearly the same extent that being able to pass effectively is.

regardless of the players, we've seen a lot from Judge by now and I don't think he should be the coach in 2022. He routinely gives the ball back to the other team.

In all honesty I'm not sure I've seen something like it in my lifetime as a Giants fan. Judge does some good things as a coach. But to routinely just give up on a drive, give up on scoring, and routinely punt the ball to the other team when you are past midfield or have a chance at extending the drive, when if you DON'T get it, the outcome is really not that much worse than punting anyway, is something that any NFL head coach in 2021 needs to have a basic understanding of.

The Chargers were on the road at Cincy, it was a must win game for them. First drive of the game, they went all the way down to the 5 yard line. They went for it on 4th and 5, and they got it. Touchdown, 7-0. It was then 24-0 quickly. Bengals came back a bit but the game had been settled right then and there. The Chargers weren't going to be pussies all game.

Judge coaches the game to lose. He shouldn't be the coach.

But do agree that Offensive Tackle and Edge Rusher are absolutely on the high priority list to improve...

If the Giants maintained health this year, and had made a few different moves this is a plausible lineup I believe would be in the hunt for the playoffs:

Jones/Barkley/Engram/Golladay/Slayton/Shepard

Williams/Lawrence/Johnson
Martinez/Ragland/Roche/Judon
Ryan/Love/Bradberry/Robinson

I think this a 6-6 lineup if healthy going into next week.

The shame is this is one of the “window” years for this nucleus because free agent and finances get very sticky for this group in 2023.

they've made some nice draft picks the past two seasons. Jury out on Toney but he looks like he's going to be a good weapon. Ojulari looks like a player. Robinson seems like a good find. Thomas and McKinney look to have pro bowl, even all pro potential if we're lucky.

But again, the players will not matter if you continue to coach like a pussy.
