Complete overhaul needed ...

BC Eagles94 : 12/6/2021 12:18 am
I didn't watch one minute of the game, was doing Christmas decorations. But I looked at the box score. Whoever took over as OC from Garrett needs to be fired tomorrow as well. 17 carries...and 44 pass attempts by a scrub backup QB? In a game that was close until the end, so #'s weren't skewed by being forced to play catch up. And Giants averaged 5.4 yards per carry! You take away each RB's largest gain and they still averaged 3.5 per carry.

What a shit show this team is. Giants needs to clean house again... but this time everybody. Management and coaching staff at same time. They need to hire a top football guy, that has complete control in hires...and Mara/Tisch families both stay out of it. Who that is, I don't know. But it is not my job or livelihood to know. If John Mara can't figure it out, then sell the team.
Unfortunately i have come to agree with the originator of this

the giants are worse on the OL than 2017, they are worse

at QB than 2017, they are worse at RB than 2017, they are worse on the DL than 2017, they are worse at the skill positions than 2017, and their current coach is worse than any of the last three.

kind of amazing when you think about it.
Points for originality.

Orleans Darkwa and Paul Perkins were the backs in 2017. Barkley isn't as good as he was hyped up to be, but please, let's not kid ourselves. Booker is still very solid himself.

As for the others, only if we include injury. They just had Odell then at wideout. Remember Will Tye and Larry Donnell at TE.

Kudos, you're wrong on 5 of 6 of those counts, which is actually amazing. The only thing you may be right about is that the OL might've been a little better in 2017, but that wouldn't necessarily be the case had we not lost Gates and Lemieux to injury. The 2017 NY Giants were 3-13 btw, and this current team is 4-8, so they already have won more games. The entire post is a dumpster fire. I don't think you actually remember how terrible that team was. That was probably the worst roster in the NFL, at best bottom 3. This team is not that bad. This is not to say the Giants are good, and things aren't good with this team, and the record is what it is, but that's not because the team is worse than 2017, because that's objectively not true. And Judge at least has this team competing and playing hard.

Defense was actually really good today, and they've been good for the better part of the last month and a half, too. Even the Bucs game they weren't as bad as the final looked, and against the Super Bowl champions and the goat QB that's arguably playing the best football of his career (which is hard to fathom).

How do you know

That a complete overhaul will work? The probability of success may be greater than not doing an overhaul.

I am not against an overhaul, but you have to give it one more year……for a lot of reasons, although painful.
