why would they want a different highly drafted QB whose current team is disillusioned with him?

Teams that would be interested in trading for Jones would not be doing it to get a long-term answer at QB. They would be trading to get competition for their starter or a backup.

horrible idea for nyg. team needs more assets to build whole team up not less. Jones and barkley aren’t attractive assets either.

What team is going to trade the consensus #1 QB prospect in the 2021 draft for an injury prone QB, RB and RT who all have expiring contracts and mediocre to sub-par production? I don't think Giants could find a team willing to give a 7th round pick for Jones.

I think he is clearly a much more talented prospect. However, I am not giving up any draft picks for another QB who has struggled and in a situation that makes him equally difficult to fully judge. I'd rather sign his predecessor, Minshew, for no picks to fill the role of either stop gap, solid backup, and/or legit competitiion for Jones.

Are you that confident, right now, that Lawrence would come in to THIS FRANCHISE and turn things around? As I stated, I think he is a much more talented QB than Jones (and Minshew). But, without still having an OL and a franchise in tatters, would I deal more picks for him? I don't think so. I would rather make an earnest effort to rebuild the OL and get a pass rush and then reload QB in a year or two. Maybe that's just me.
