Maybe but the tweet makes little sense to me. I mean it’s not like Jones was really getting the job done when he was playing. Historically bad offense and red zone failures continues being historically bad and not even getting into red zone more than once.
fans spend countless hours parsing the words to decipher a message that really doesn't mean much. Its like the scene from a Christmas Story, but grown men instead.
see how he would go after kitchens or glennon, who he probably has zero to do with.
my initial thought was it's a shot at judge as he's still unhappy about his lack of playing time earlier this year. but why wait until now to go after judge?
Glennon, to me, makes the least sense because I don't think anybody had high expectations of his start. I suppose it could be a veiled support of Jones. But, Kitchens or Judge seem more likely targets.
The context is that Judge is vulnerable and being openly questioned (finally!) in terms of his ability to run the show.
I don't see Peppers having a strong enough opinion about the offense for it to be about Kitchens or DJ. The history in Cleveland is interesting, but who knows if there is anything to that?
now I get two of them has been without the starting QB, but he has one TD in three games if I remember the Cleveland game correctly from last year. Players remember those things and I have to imagine it is about him and players must be like, what the heck is going on (especially on defense where the performances have been better than average).
It was noticeable last week that the beat reporters were posting video tweets of an injured Jones and brand new Fromm taking extra reps after practice but not Glennon, the guy who was actually going to start the game...
I can see this irking someone on the inside like Peppers, specifically if the words "I can do better" have ever came out of Mike Glennon's mouth.
He may be posting stuff like this because he reads the writing on the wall. His injury plus McKinney emerging likely means he played his last game as a Giant.
Jabrill Peppers doesn't have to be the messenger to tell us the ship
is sinking. Watching the clowns Mara has hired since firing Tom Coughlin has been laughable at best. It is like the clown car at the circus; a new clown just seems to come out and show us more and more futility.
Why can't we hire a professional head coach who knows how to put together a strong coaching staff, coach the game from the sidelines and motivate the players through the season?
I remember the days of Bill Parcells, Joe Walsh, Jimmmy Johnson, Tom Coughlin, etc. These were coaches who knew how to coach the game and the season.
Watching Joe Judge coach a game is painful.....painful.
The player always gets criticized in these instances
Regardless of who he's referring to, I don't really have a problem with it. These guys have to be supremely dissatisfied. I'd be more upset if they weren't.
Wasn't Kitchens the OC for the Browns in 2018, the last year that Peppers was a Brown?
Kitchens was promoted to HC in 2019 and the Browns traded Peppers to the Giants in the 2018 offseason...likely with input from Kitchens.
The Browns also fired Kitchens after one season, a season in which he no doubt made some enemies in the lockeroom. And some of those players are also likely still friends with Peppers.
Doesn't mean that he doesn't have insight to the offensive side of football. I'd imagine he know more about the inner workings of the Giants offense than say...90% of this site.
and thought he was the ultimate high-energy team guy after last year, and now he is a pariah. Shows how quickly and easy opinions can change from one extreme to the other.
not saying you're wronh, but what beef does peppers have with glennon? it's an odd tweet

It was only a matter of time.
Please don't ruin twitter with facts.

Kitchens was in Cleve when he was.
Another good candidate for Gettleman’s Mt. Rushmore of failures.

oh shit. may well be a reference to kitchens then. which is fine with me. kitchens sucks. but peppers sucks too.

Harbaugh said something along the lines of just because you were born in 3rd base, doesn’t mean you hit a triple.
Peppers LOATHES Ohio State.
Overrated JAG.
