I like what I am seeing from this guy. The escapability within the pocket, his running ability, hitting receivers in stride on deep passes. Keep in mind Pitt is not exactly Alabama in terms of receiver quality.
He’s two inches shorter than Jones at 6’3”, but is about 220 so not a small framed QB.
I realize it’s the beginning of December, but our team blows so might as well start looking at the draft.
Interested to hear what other people’s thoughts are on this potential QB prospect.
Would you use some of the later / mid-round draft capital to trade up into the back half of the 1st round to draft him? So keep the two likely top 10 picks, then trade your 2nd plus a 3rd and 4th (or something like that).

Not in the top 10.

Don’t think I’d do it. I’m not really sold on him or any of the QBs for that matter.
Pickett is one year younger than Jones, but his stats prior to this year were worse than Daniel Jones posted in his draft year.
Lefty, 6-2, mobile, big arm.

I haven’t seen enough of Armstrong to say he is an NFL starter, but I also thought he looked better than Pickett. Pickett is Jake Fromm redux, ceiling is a low level starter or good backup.
