I was bitching and moaning about the terrible 2021 Giants, which are worse than 2020's version of Giants. My brother, who lives in Wisconsin, took pity on me and sent me ONE SHARE of the Pack. What an awesome gift and what a great team. Now I can root for at least a team that belongs in NFL.
Unlike crappy reticent owners (Mara) just running the show at least the Pack appear to spread the ownership.
If we only had this, but with voting options we could can Mara and Gettleman and kill contracts with deadbeats.
Mara's family traditions is akin to a lousy old Italian restaurant serving old spaghetti when cuisine has moved on to organics or something. Let's look back at remind him that the NFL had to save the Giants in the early 70s because the Mara family had no effing clue how to win in the largest media market. These Mara folks think they have an amazing tradition when they have been in the league since the get go and win every 10 years. I would look to Kraft or GB or Baltimore for more ideas than think your family runs a good club.
Exactly, they’re not real… just a symbolic overpriced piece of paper.
Your a fan of another team that is not doing well so he sends you a share of a semi rival team that is winning.
Id rather have the cash.
Says the guy whose handle is MeanBunny - ironic!
Exactly. The Packers stock pays no dividend and doesn't provide the shareholders with any voting rights. It's basically a donation to the team.

Packer stocks offered to the public are placebos without any consequence besides getting fresh capital for the team. IIRC, they are just pieces of paper without value.

You do get voting rights.
Enjoy the Jersey Cement Pile. You jaded characters deserve it.
The alternative is the team lobby for public money through tax breaks or bonds.
Same as PSLs, this is the team going to the fans and not burdening the greater public to help pay for capital investments.
They use them to finance important shit, like their stadium maintenance. While they have no resale value, they help the team, and they are used for good purposes.
I believe they also donate some to charitable organizations as well.
You do get voting rights.
Very, very limited, to the point it is meaningless. You get to go to the annual shareholder meeting, that's about it.
