Simple math, they are not spinning anything. They assigned a point value to each pick and added it up. Since the Eagles and Dolphins(now and Eagle pick) are winning, their 1st round picks are worth less so they drop in total point value.
that DG and the current personnel staff are not the ones making the picks. This is their best chance to get some foundational pieces, CANNOT afford to screw it up.
