The Before series, "Before Sunrise/Sunset/Midnight is one of my favorite set of films.
Based on one night in Vienna with two 23 yr olds who meet and spend the night together and promise to meet later.
*SPOILERS*
They never meet until 9 years later when one writes a book about that night and they meet in Paris. The memory of that one night had such a profound impact on their psyches and future relationships. This film may have the best ending of all time.
Then they are married 9 years later and they discuss their troubled lives.
At the end of Before Midnight, Jessie refers to that "night" trying to rescue a failing marriage. And Jessie says "You're looking for real love but this is it" referring to their difficult lives.
What do you all think, is it possible to fall in love in one night?
Alas, my love was unrequited.
Alas, my love was unrequited.
LMAO..Best post of the month
Those are great flicks BTW.
My dad was overseas during WWII. My mom wrote to him all through the war. When he came home from Europe he went to meet her and they were engaged in less than a week. They had a wonderful marriage.
I knew I would marry my own wife as soon as I saw her. She was stunning. We met in July, were engaged in December and married in February. Still together 34 years later and she is still a beautiful woman. Hilary is one of our daughters. I thought I was setting up a password not a site ID when I submitted her name here.
