Mike Glennon will start at QB for the Giants, per sources. It’s his show. There isn’t going to be a timeshare with Jake Fromm.
Glennon played for the Bears in 2017. He went 1-3 as a starter. It’s also the last time he won a game as a starter.

It’s 23 degrees. Light flurries. Wind currently at 14 mph. It’s cold af. It’s Mike Glennon vs Andy Dalton. The over/under is 36. Not expecting many points.
without hitting 30 points. That’s almost impossible in todays NFL.
I’m glad they are making progress in places we can’t see.
Most importantly- they haven't quit on Joe Judge!!!
What a load of crap. Hearing this from Mara makes me cringe. He's the same demographic that complains about how soft younger generations are- participation trophies, etc.
Why doesn't he give everyone a big fat participation bonus for not quitting.
Not worth my time to watch but that’s the outcome I’m rooting for. I can’t take another year of handing it off three times fir negative yards and pint in hopes of winning with defense and faith in Mike Glennon type “vision” for success. It’s seems nothing shy of rolling over fir change will do. Then so be it.

1st down run for no gain
2nd down swing pass to Barkley for -2 yards
3rd down QB sack or run up the middle for no gain
Our HC actually thinks this is a successful drive because they didn’t turn the ball over. Think about that for a minute. I’ve never seen a HC so excited to run the punt team out in my entire life. Most coaches get pissed they have to punt. Judge considers it being “aggressive”. Good times.
and I started watching in 1977, I don’t think I’ve ever gotten to the point iof not wanting to watch a game. I’ve finally hit that threshold and it feels terrible.

This is true and it’s sad. He thinks you can win in the NFL in 2021 by punting, kicking field goals and winning the field position battle. It’s a mindset that isn’t going to be fixed by a better qb, oc, OL
RE: Instead of whine and complain.....what do we want to see from giants?
Pass, not interested in seeing this. Giraffe neck, .Who cares they sucks etc.
Its football. There’s 2 games left until September. There are younger guys to see all over this defense. The offense we know sucks and it’s not about how Glennon performs. 95 percent of this offense won’t be returning and the guys that are returning it’s impossible to evaluate them. Football is football it’s always enjoyable to watch my team regardless of the win loss record.

There’s absolutely no way that any giants fan or fan of football in general can find what the giants do on the field enjoyable to watch. This team is as pathetic as it can get and I’m happy with being called a baby if it means not having to watch and waste my Sunday on them

Have set their expectations for the team at “Able to get off the bus, get dressed and find the field.” Based on that, today should be another day of growth and development in the right direction.
This is what Judge means when he says “fundamentally sound.”
I know the Giants have a hard time scoring points,
but I didn't know they haven't scored 30 points in 2 seasons.
That is other-wordly pathetic, especially in today's NFL when the rules and the game in general is geared towards offenses scoring points. Like...wow.
I'm sorry, but anyone associated with this team in the front office and especially the coaching staff has to go. This is a level of ineptitude never seen before. This offense is worse than the Brown/Graham/Kannell led offenses. There isn't a word in the english language that describes just how pathetic that is.
And there are some that want to keep Judge? Jesus Christ. Worst case of Stockholm syndrome I've ever seen some of you here have.

Exactly, it has come to a head for me. Nearly an entire decade of truly disgraceful football. I have watched damn near every miserable game during this run of a completely abominable product and after the Dolphins game I said enough is enough. THis whole thing needs to be blown up across the board. The stuff leaking out about Pettit, scouts, DG, Chris Mara. This organization is a laughing stock.
RE: Instead of whine and complain.....what do we want to see from giants?
(1) By all reports Joe Judge gets at least one more year. OK
(2) By all reports this is Dave Gettleman's last year. OK
(3) A recent report indicated that the next GM should be in sync with Joe Judge. OK
(4) But what if Joe Judge lays another egg in Year 3... does he get to stay another year because he is in sync with the General Manager?
Not sure how anyone doesn’t understand expressing the frustration of having to watch yet another really uninspiring and meaningless game.
I’d like to see Barkely have a big game today. My grandfather was a Bears and he used to say that Sweetness played the game the way it was supposed to be played. Tough. Walter Payton never ran out of bounds. He hit as good as he ever got hit. He was a great player on a lot of teams that weren’t very good. And he even complained about it towards the end. But he brought everything he had on every game day. Imagine if Barkely were as tough as Sweetness? He could be every bit as good.
Losin weather!!!!!! tune in to watch giants make Wharton academy esque business decisions.......word is JJ has already called two of his first half time outs from the locker room......barkley's ptsd will be heightened by a return to the scene of the injury........if Glennon goes down, just start the Benny Hill soundtrack!!! FIRE DG!

I think any decision made at this point will err on the side of optics and public relation and not what makes sense from a football operations perspective.

Don't know about some of you but I will be watching the Rangers game in lieu of this embarrassing debacle of an organization on display. This season cannot end soon enough. Unfortunately going forward I very little confidence on John even being capable of righting the ship.
With terrible quarterbacking, a terrible OL and
An unproductive receiver corp.
Exactly how can you be more aggressive with this group and be successful.
I’ve watched teams that are playing their 2nd or 3rd string QB, teams with decimated OLs and depleted skill position players play competitive football all season long. And many times they actually manage to somehow win the games. The Giants meanwhile look like they’ve never played the game before on offense.
Look around the league. Watch other teams play. Everyone is depleted between injuries and Covid. Everyone else seems to at least put forth a functional effort. The excuses have to stop.
Giants are simply embarrassing Ximines at this point

Ximines a healthy scratch for the sixth time this season. Giants rolling with just 47 players. Teams are allowed 48 players if they dress eight OL. But Giants are suiting up just seven OL today.

Disagree. Pre-game thread is the perfect place to talk about how pathetic they have become that long time fans are being turned off by the product. I'm not going to scold people for watching in the actual game thread.
It'll never happen on a much larger scale, but not watching the product is the only way to get ownership to implement true change.
What coach or coaches would win today given the team we will field today?
If Judge is so terrible there must be a lot of coaches who could win today with this group.
The fact that you think this team beating the 5 win Bears is just too daunting a task for Judge to overcome should tell you everything you need to know about the HC. Can’t beat the pathetic injury riddled Bears because they are starting a backup QB and missing Toney? Seriously?
As an armchair fan, I am so frustrated about the cap thing. Why is it so bad. So irritating. Is this a factor for an outsideGM candidate or is it manageable cutting players?
WR Kadarius Toney
WR John Ross
WR Collin Johnson
LB Oshane Ximines
C Billy Price
Please forgive my ignorance, but I'm still confused by how the covid protocol works (all I think I know now is it changed from a 10-day to five-day quarantine for asymptomatic players who tested positive). Does this mean Slaytonm Jackson, and others on this list who had no other injury are active? And Love was "in the building" yesterday according to a post, so that means he's back? Again, apologies for not being able to keep up...

Because the golden girls marathon doesn’t start til noon and I need something to do until then
and he's right back to not playing the very next week.
Would love to see the franchise to send a message to scumbags like him and cut him in the offseason. It's bad enough to have a losing player on the team, but a loser as a person makes it much worse.
Absolutely horrendous draft pick in every sense of the word.
Julian Love is playing today. He was activated off of the Covid list yesterday.
WR Darius Slayton, OT Korey Cunningham, DE Dexter Lawrence, and NT Danny Shelton are still on the Covid list. They are not playing.
WR Alex Bachman and DL Woodrow Hamilton were activated from the Practice Squad to the 53-man roster for this game. In addition, the team activated WR Pharoh Cooper, WR David Sills, OT Derrick Kelly, and DL David Moa from the Practice Squad as COVID-19 replacements.

Thank you. For the record, I do check BBI posts for that info but I was confused. Well, a good many BBIers love/loved Sills and maybe he gets a few more looks than last week, so there’s that to look forward to. I also hope Bachman steps up given the chance.
watch, but I fully understand why someone would choose not to do so, especially if they have family. It is in the high 50s and sunny where I am, so many people understandably want to get outside and enjoy this unseasonably warm weather.
I think it's clear what the Giants think of Ximines and Wilson. Neither is likely to be here next year.
I would start Fromm. Despite being awful last week, that was his first start and playing experience in the NFL. Playing decently these last two weeks might mean that he could be the backup next year. Glennon won't be here next year.

My pet peeve is she guys feel the need to announce it. I apologize,
Carl said on it just now on the radio. Play with some fucking pride Big Blue!
If Joe Judge is a good coach then his Giants will play with some pride for 60 minutes today. And in case anyone is wondering, we will all know what it looks like if we see it.
How does he not see the outside rusher unblocked and just run the pass play called without changing the blocking? Is this his first day playing football?
Players aren’t prepared to play again. Hopefully we can find a new GM who shares the same vision of a poorly coached team.

and let him prove he's either as bad as Glennon or not? I don't even care how bad Fromm looked last week in his first ever start. Glennon has been awful fir years abd has no shot at being here next year. I don't want tseehim take another snap.

Fromm cannot throw the ball. He simply does not even have a college QB arm.
can at least scramble a little, and sees the field somewhat better. There is also a small chance he might play well enough to considered as the backup next year. There is NO point in playing Glennon. None. Zero.
Before that sack we were out-gaining the Bears in yardage
there are lots of teams that started 2nd or 3rd string QBs this year and they didn't look nearly as bad as the giants do. that is not a valid excuse
jets started mike white and josh johnson (in relief of mike white) and both looked good
tyler huntley looks very good for baltimore
minshew looked good for philly
the cowboys beat the vikings with their backup QB
mccown has looked good for the cardinals
just because you're starting your backup QB shouldn't mean your team goes out there and looks like this. i don't understand why it's a valid excuse for judge wnen other teams have done well and not looked like absolute trash every week
(1) Glennon can't go through his progressions fast enough so he holds the ball too long. He's also immobile and inaccurate.
(2) We can't pass block.
(3) We constantly run Barkley into the line on first down, which sets up second and third and long.
Can’t even get his teams to be competitive against the worst teams in the league. And people want to give this guy more power and more years. Insanity.

Interception
Sack
Yea put Fromm in. He'll lose but gets him some game experience. There really is no reason to play Glennon. He took that sack like he was afraid to do anything else. No future there. No experience to gain. I can't think of a single reason to play Glennon.
Unless a complete and total collapse happens Joe judge’s job safe. Well, we have a complete and utter collapse that has happened. we are the worst team in the NFL by a large margin. This team has zero identity zero positive attributes and head coach who is more conservative than the 1950s.

We need to bring some of our average and mediocre players back rather than create new holes. you can't go into every season with 8-12 holes or you never get out of it. it's unfortunate but that's the way it works. we will be starting next season as basically an expansion team as it is.

The 1966 New York Giants season was the franchise's 42nd season in the National Football League (NFL). The season saw the Giants looking to improve on their 7–7 record from 1965. However, they finished in last place in the Eastern Conference with a 1–12–1 record, the worst in franchise history.[2][3] The 12 losses set a single-season team record that was matched four times before being broken in 2017.[4]
The 1966 Giants surrendered the most points in NFL history for a 14-game season.[5][6] They allowed 501 points in 14 games, or an average of 35.8 points per game.[3] This total broke the league record for the most points given up in a season.[7] The next most points allowed by a Giants team was 451 in the 2019 season, which was 16 games.[3] The Giants allowed opponents to score more than 30 points in eight of the 14 games, and gave up over 50 points three times.[2] They are the only team in history to give up 500 points in a 14-game season.[5][6]
On November 27, the Giants played the highest-scoring game in NFL history, losing to the Washington Redskins, 72–41.[8] It was the first of three straight games in which the Giants gave up more than 45 points; they allowed 49 points against the Cleveland Browns and 47 versus the Pittsburgh Steelers.[2]

If you didn't know any better you'd think they were taking a dive. Will Hernandez shouldn't be allowed within a mile of a foot all field. He has surpassed CC Brown as the most pathetic Giant of the modern era. Don't even come home with the team. Just go live in the mountains somewhere, living out your days in isolated shame.
Agreed. Not sure why they would have Skura pull and try and block Quinn on that play. I thought Skura was abused, but he shouldn't have been in that position. That was dumb.
chess, everyone else is playing checkers. He's always one or more moves ahead of the league. He's a savant. A prodigy.
When you get someone like that you hold on tight. We've had some great coaches in our past, but nobody like this. I'm calling it right now, in about 30-40 years we'll be renaming the stadium after him. And putting a statue outside the stadium. A status of a clueless due with headphones staring off into the distance.
Just hold ‘em here offense! Let’s alternate Booker and Barkely, don’t want to wear anyone out just yet. Then maybe wildcat sets. Don’t fumble - get to 4th down so we can punt and then let the defense try to score some points.
Martin seems to be sharing time with Kelly. Why isnt Bredeson getting reps? I don’t get what he’s doing here.
I don't know what the hell they're doing at LG. I've seen Martin, Bredeson, and Kelly. Kelly was also used as an extra OL.
It’s as confusing as pulling your center to block an end instead of using a basic slide protection. They’ve done this with solder and now the center. It’s amazingly stupid

Glennon suffered his concussion against the Dolphins on a play where they had Will Hernandez pull and try to block Jaelen Phillips coming from the other end position.
He said the time out wasn’t a bad idea. I don’t like it.
There’s a lot to complain about but that timeout isn’t one of them. Of course you call that timeout. See their formation. It’s 4th and 1. One stop and you get the ball back. Most coaches would have called a timeout there

Again, disagree. I get it, but it doesn’t seem like it works. What’s the point of seeing the formation? If you can counter and take away a set then sure. But this really isn’t a situation where that’s gonna happen. Again, I get the thinking but I don’t agree with it.
But it’s cool to have something interesting to debate.
I wonder if he realizes that his fans aren’t just cheering for a loss to get a better draft pick - that’s fairly normal. We are actively rooting for complete humiliation.
Really is another level of pathetic. I am 38 and I have never seen a worse offense ever at any level. I mean teams can gain yards by accident and the Giants Cant gain a yard. I don’t see how the entire coaching staff isnt let go along with the majority of the players
but the earlier close play was a Bears defensive touchdown that the refs took away, so I can see why they would want to make good on that awful mistake.
Likely because they knew our OL sucks and whoever was going to run the ball was going to get abused. Being on the 1 yd line, with no passing threat, means the Bears would be teeing off
i think we've actually given up the 2nd most amount of points before the half this year. I don't recall which team, but some other team has given up 70 this year. But the other team has also scored. Maybe the Lions?
I can't see why anyone would say that this is not worse than the '70s

The Giants dropped back to pass 4 times on 27 plays in the first half. They have -16 yards and 2 turnovers on their 4 dropbacks, per @ESPNStatsInfo. But they ran for 81 yards!
Giants are down 22-3 to the Bears.
Not a bad half - seeing some good things out there

Fans and media should call bullshit on him wanting to win. He will be making a selfish decision to try and say hiring Judge was not a horrific mistake.
That decision will make it clear what Mara cares about most - the team or his own reputation.
I am sure it sucks knowing whatever you do the other side of the ball won't do shit. -16 passing yards or something the beat writers are tweeting. This team is a dumpster fire.
16 net passing yards. Our only completion was a desperation shovel pass from Glennon to Booker just before the former was sacked. We basically didn't even try and throw the ball. Unreal. But let's keep playing Glennon.
Also two turnovers, and a ST gaff that resulted in a safety.
We used extra OL and rotated at LG, but it didn't make any difference. We left a free rusher on our first offensive play which meant that Glennon was hammered and fumbled. We also tried to have Skura pull and block Quinn which produced another sack.

This crap show. Not to be named but he is no longer the worst.
I'm not willing to annoint Judge over H****ey yet. H****ey took over a 13-3 team and went 14-18 over the next 2 seasons, and then Perkins took the same team to 11-5 the year after. That is a high bar if ineptitude too, since he had a competitive team that he ran into the ground
couldn't coach a peewee football team. The incompetence is frightening. This is Joe Walton, Lou Holtz level coaching. Mara needs his head examined, pronto, if he thinks this mook is the answer. It's an epic clown show.

That first play was 100% Glennon’s fault.
Don't agree. There was a totally unblocked free rusher.
If - at very least - Fromm doesn’t play the entire
second half, I hope Jeff Gillooly pops out from behind a curtain - post-game - and whacks Judge on the knee. At least if he squawks “Whyyyyyyy, whyyyyyy?” we’ll have plenty of easy answers for the man.
Don't agree. There was a totally unblocked free rusher.
They rushed 6 with zero deception. There were 5 blockers. The free rusher was the exact person it needed (far outside man to QBs frontside) to be and the QB has to recognize that.

Nah. Maybe Glennon could have thrown the ball away a little more quickly, but the majority of the blame wasn't his IMO. He was looking to his left and the rusher came from the right. It was a mistake to leave an unblocked rusher with an immobile QB throwing to backup WRs with whom he has no chemistry.
RE: RE: Interesting that Feely is coming out so strongly
Went to division rivals and we got absolute garbage
McCarthy fucking sucks too. They just have too much talent to fail.
That's Judge's plan. To be so shitty year in and year out that we get game-changing players in the Draft and then talent can overcome his shitty coaching.
no offensive coordinator, and sale is leaving this shitshow for college.
perfect time to bring in a new coach if a new GM sees fit.
if there is a mandate from mara to stick with judge next season i can't see anyone wanting the job other than maybe abrams, and he's be smart to turn it down.
Bradberry isn’t allowed to go after the ball? Bullshit
Isn’t the rule that you can’t go through a player for the ball? Looked like JBIV climbed the back of the end there.
Definitely could be, i’m more so venting that i don’t think it should be penalty since he should the right to go after the ball too. Game is already heavily tilted towards offense.
isn't going to be allowed to throw the ball. Shows what they think of Fromm.
Fromm WAS allowed to throw the ball last week and had the same amount of success.
I doubt Fromm is any good. But at least he could say that was his first time playing in a regular season game, and he had been with the Giants for only about a month. Glennon has no such excuses. Fromm is also more mobile.
But I agree it doesn't matter right now. The team is horrific. I'm not sure Aaron Rodgers could save us on offense.
RE: so Mara is at the game. I'm sure he'll conclude that
Before I worked for the Bears I spent 17 years in NY with the Giants. I don’t think I’ve ever seen such a poor effort. It’s a run for the bus type effort

But Mike Evans and OJ Howard were trying to calm him down, he ignored them, stripped down to just his football pants. Was in the endzone fifty yards behind the play throwing up peace signs. One of the most bizarre things i’ve seen during a game.
they just cannot attempt a pass. despite the throw to engram, there is just so much risk right now. I'm not sure if I have ever seen anything like this.
Giants are terrified of throwing the ball, which by itself is enough to justify firing everyone. Three passes for four yards through almost three quarters.
In three quarters. Why would you start a stiff like Glennon. I don't think they had a shot of winning this game anyway but that game plan is stupid.
Agreed. It's not defensible. Judge might as well say Glennon and our Oline such so bad we can't throw. Which is true but why is Glennon even on the team let alone playing? And you better just sayn that at the Post game conference.
I believe that was the plan once Jones got hurt. Keep Jones out, and go through the motions the rest of the season. Get that high draft pick along with the Bears pick.

We find ourselves in a rare position to boast having the worst OL in football AND the worst QB in football on the field at the same time.
I do like how the CBS crew tried to present average stats
It's common for coaches to tell players to congratulate each other after making plays on D. It's easy positive reinforcement.
You don't celebrate like you won the Super Bowl, but you make sure the guy who made the play knows he did a good job

I'm so glad I missed wasting my time watching this shitshow today!
Unbelievable how far this team has fallen. I don't believe Judge is the guy to start to turn this around. I can't believe owners would have confidence in him coming back and building something here
For an inept group of coaches, WRs, and Oline. Broken offense.
And yes, Glennon sucks...but he didn't look like the worst QB of all time until he suited up for this shit show.

Mike Glennon will start at QB for the Giants, per sources. It’s his show. There isn’t going to be a timeshare with Jake Fromm.
Glennon played for the Bears in 2017. He went 1-3 as a starter. It’s also the last time he won a game as a starter.

Starting Glennon the giraffe again, lmao. 23 degrees and gusty winds today in Chicago. Have fun with that shit.
Good times.
“Nobody got frostbite..I was encouraged..”
Would like to see organized units.
No times outs or delay of games because of confusion.
More development from the 3 pass rushers....I like what I am seeing from Azeez,Roche and E.Smith.....more growth.
Does offense actually play well in Red Zone? Don't see much hope...but would be nice.
I assume its better for a Giants loss draft wise....but still would like see a win.

This is true and it’s sad. He thinks you can win in the NFL in 2021 by punting, kicking field goals and winning the field position battle. It’s a mindset that isn’t going to be fixed by a better qb, oc, OL

Its football. There’s 2 games left until September. There are younger guys to see all over this defense. The offense we know sucks and it’s not about how Glennon performs. 95 percent of this offense won’t be returning and the guys that are returning it’s impossible to evaluate them. I don’t think any receivers are left to play today. So many are injured. Might have no option but to run the ball all game.
This is what Judge means when he says “fundamentally sound.”

I’d like to see Barkely have a big game today. My grandfather was a Bears and he used to say that Sweetness played the game the way it was supposed to be played. Tough. Walter Payton never ran out of bounds. He hit as good as he ever got hit. He was a great player on a lot of teams that weren’t very good. And he even complained about it towards the end. But he brought everything he had on every game day. Imagine if Barkely were as tough as Sweetness? He could be every bit as good.
LFG Big Blue!

Ximines a healthy scratch for the sixth time this season. Giants rolling with just 47 players. Teams are allowed 48 players if they dress eight OL. But Giants are suiting up just seven OL today.

Thank you. For the record, I do check BBI posts for that info but I was confused. Well, a good many BBIers love/loved Sills and maybe he gets a few more looks than last week, so there’s that to look forward to. I also hope Bachman steps up given the chance.

I’ve been watching for years, passing on many other worthwhile things to do on a Sunday. Not feeling it, so shoot me. The world would be a better place if we all felt like TuckRuke I guess, right?
No, you have every justification for not watching, doesn’t make you less of a fan.
My pet peeve is she guys feel the need to announce it. I apologize,
If Joe Judge is a good coach then his Giants will play with some pride for 60 minutes today. And in case anyone is wondering, we will all know what it looks like if we see it.
Play with pride!
Da Yung Joka is missing!
Let’s go offense! Run the ball!

We’re still in this fella’s! Only 18 seconds to score! Wow.
They’re building a culture !!!
Thus someone should start a post game thread. No joke.
Give Jim another year and let him dictate the GM
How do we have a QB starting that hasn't won a game as a starter in more than 5 years? Holy hell.

Pure comedy.
HOW THE FUCK DID GLENNON MOT SEE HIM??!!!???

😆😆
Worst ever.
Players aren’t prepared to play again. Hopefully we can find a new GM who shares the same vision of a poorly coached team.
Solder actually had his man for once
LOL. Except it was our first possession. Bears open 2nd half with the ball.
Yes, it's worse.
Judge saw a long of good things on that play
Complete joke of a coach.
Nagy gets destroyed but it light years better than Judge.
The Bears rushed 6 men… 5 were blocked. The free man rushed from Glennon’s right side. I mean… WTF?
Solder actually had his man for once
Glennon must be trying to double his salary with Jimmy the Shark.
Process baby! Trust the process!

It makes literally zero sense.

About that………
He was not open at all... ball should not have been thrown
Too funny, like they actually think they are good or something

we don't pass again this whole game.

OK, starting now
Blah blah blah
No doubt about it. They need to make it look less obvious though, they are not fooling anybody. You see the defense just stepping back?
You might have to in order to avoid losing 77-0.
I wouldn’t pay him much, we’ve over valued these silver linings too much as a franchise
Can you blame them???
Sort of - he’s a UFA and the Giants won’t be able to pay him because Getty borked the cap. 🤷🏽♂️

But can it really get any worse?
I learned to watch the giants with a perspective of a comedy not a tragedy. I have to admit I am laughing more now!
My wife wants to go to the mall. I think I’ll go with her.
Someone posted on this site info that Judge has veto power on new GM
Mind boggling
Nothing the players have done the past couple weeks shows me that they haven’t quit, besides a couple guys like carter
This has nothing to do with culture...
NO OL
NO QB
Nobody can catch the ball or get open
It might not be. This game could be even more embarrassing than the last 4. Not sure I buy into the idea he s definitely back.
Washington is going to put 50 on us and not pass on an opportunity to pile on, we have blown them out too many times
That’s like blaming the relief pitcher for allowing a run when he comes in bases loaded and no outs.
Is that a metaphor for putting an end to the season?
It might not be. This game could be even more embarrassing than the last 4. Not sure I buy into the idea he s definitely back.
Fromm cannot throw the ball. He simply does not even have a college QB arm.
"Rome wasn't built in a day, dahlin.'
Apparently, it wasn't built in 4 years, either. Or even 10.
In contrast, Judge sounds like the Roto- rooter guy
And Chicago fans want this front office out
Let someone else pay him and collect a pick
Sills
It's definitely Armageddon.
And Foles as opposed to Fromm.
+1.
Sick of injury excuse
He’d miss
For one week, everything works.
Let's not forget Nagy is on the hotseat in Chicago.
And dancing slippers
Bears have gained very little yardage on us so far.
jets started mike white and josh johnson (in relief of mike white) and both looked good
tyler huntley looks very good for baltimore
minshew looked good for philly
the cowboys beat the vikings with their backup QB
mccown has looked good for the cardinals
just because you're starting your backup QB shouldn't mean your team goes out there and looks like this. i don't understand why it's a valid excuse for judge wnen other teams have done well and not looked like absolute trash every week
That is how you know your team isn't just bad, but one of the worst in the league. The idea of keeping this coach is lunacy.
(1) Glennon can't go through his progressions fast enough so he holds the ball too long. He's also immobile and inaccurate.
(2) We can't pass block.
(3) We constantly run Barkley into the line on first down, which sets up second and third and long.
but they don"t have the worst backup QB's maybe in history
Significant input for next General Manager.
Kinda want to break his knee.
Just kinda.
Agreed. He should be fired.
Interception
Sack
Yea put Fromm in. He'll lose but gets him some game experience. There really is no reason to play Glennon. He took that sack like he was afraid to do anything else. No future there. No experience to gain. I can't think of a single reason to play Glennon.
That is how you know your team isn't just bad, but one of the worst in the league. The idea of keeping this coach is lunacy.

But hey, he likes Joe Judge so it’s all working out ok!
Is that part of the process? Or is lousy special teams part of culture building?

We absolutely should. 1 year prove it deal. He’s almost a year removed from the Achilles injury. He’s showing he’s got his burst and AA back. I would definitely try and resign him

We need to bring some of our average and mediocre players back rather than create new holes. you can't go into every season with 8-12 holes or you never get out of it. it's unfortunate but that's the way it works. we will be starting next season as basically an expansion team as it is.
Have the Giants returned anything since he’s been here?

I don't know what the hell they're doing at LG. I've seen Martin, Bredeson, and Kelly. Kelly was also used as an extra OL.

Welcome back dibc!
Yeah, but Belichick and Saban like him.
Agreed. Not sure why they would have Skura pull and try and block Quinn on that play. I thought Skura was abused, but he shouldn't have been in that position. That was dumb.
When you get someone like that you hold on tight. We've had some great coaches in our past, but nobody like this. I'm calling it right now, in about 30-40 years we'll be renaming the stadium after him. And putting a statue outside the stadium. A status of a clueless due with headphones staring off into the distance.
He didn’t he brought in Glennon to make us miss Jones. None has been on scholarship since he’s been here. Can’t have any competition.

It’s as confusing as pulling your center to block an end instead of using a basic slide protection. They’ve done this with solder and now the center. It’s amazingly stupid
Jay feeley just said the Giants Oline is not well coached- so tell me again how Judge stays??!
I have seen one twitter highlight of a catchable pass off of KG's hands for an INT. It's 14-0.
Meanwhile the Rangers lead the Lightning 3-0. Much more enjoyable.
Fuck John Mara.

40 minute offense. Wanna really limit those passing downs.
Are you even watching. Barkley has basically been our offense.
When was the last time a team didn't complete a pass in an entire half?

that's too funny. Judge is an f'n clown.

Yup.
Glennon suffered his concussion against the Dolphins on a play where they had Will Hernandez pull and try to block Jaelen Phillips coming from the other end position.
Phillips just ran around him.
I was thinking the same thing
They defense has not been bad and the offense gave the ball to the Bears at the goal line once and in FG range the second time.
If you want the ball back after chicago scores, then you had to call TO there
There’s a lot to complain about but that timeout isn’t one of them. Of course you call that timeout. See their formation. It’s 4th and 1. One stop and you get the ball back. Most coaches would have called a timeout there
Quote:
The last few weeks have been really good for his career prospects.
I was thinking the same thing
Garrett and Daniel Jones both. Jones was actually making this offense somewhat competitive.
This is still that assholes offense they are running
They havent. The offense spotted the damn ball at the 1 yard line and in the redzone. You tell me how a defense overcomes that and gives a shit.
I'm not sure it's completely on him. The LBs are super late to diagnose plays and are easily blocked.
Quote:
He said the time out wasn’t a bad idea. I don’t like it.

He’s making a lot of tackles but like 4 or 5 yards past the LOS. I’m a fan of the Big Cat, he plays hard. Just not sure he’s making a difference.

Totally not all on LW. He’s doing his part. I’m not up his ass at all. He’s playing with a bad paw too.
He's on the COVID-19 list IIRC.
68 i think
we're definitely getting better, just giving up FGs now.
Half’s not over yet, Bears could score again, but I think 68-0
I'll admit, he had me fooled last year
There is no right answer to that choice.
He has a habit, like crowder, of going for the strip and not securing the tackle. That’s coaching
We are teachers
Wow, how fucking stupid this team is
His forward process was stopped. Whistle makes no difference.
Joe Judge has a lot of catching up to do if he plans to match John Mara as a baffoon
This announcer should win the key to the city for the public service he is going today
That is one unsafe foundation. There is no way it is up to code
😂
This coach is coming back next season. So.. be prepared to be having these same conversations 12 months from now

70 - 0 in the last two minutes of the first half.
Good question.
Its the right thing to do.
Flores letting Graham leave is hilarious.
Its the right thing to do.
Patrick Graham interim but point remains.
Likely because they knew our OL sucks and whoever was going to run the ball was going to get abused. Being on the 1 yd line, with no passing threat, means the Bears would be teeing off
it's worse. much worse. worst thing I've ever seen.
It’s like The Bachelor is playing all 22 positions.
Fire this fool tonight.
I think the only way Mara does not bring Judge back is if Joe is for some reason going to be serving prison time during next season.

i think we've actually given up the 2nd most amount of points before the half this year. I don't recall which team, but some other team has given up 70 this year. But the other team has also scored. Maybe the Lions?

The Giants dropped back to pass 4 times on 27 plays in the first half. They have -16 yards and 2 turnovers on their 4 dropbacks, per @ESPNStatsInfo. But they ran for 81 yards!
Giants are down 22-3 to the Bears.

He is not a HC, period. It’s clear as day.
That decision will make it clear what Mara cares about most - the team or his own reputation.
He was clearly elevating what is a 100% incompetent coaching staff/offense/organization.
I mean - look at what this team is without him. They cant even complete a forward pass.
They are only down 19.

HALFTIME in CHICAGO: Bears 22, Giants 3
Mike Glennon: 1 of 2, 4 yards
Saquon Barkley: 11 carries, 54 yards
Andy Dalton: 10 of 20, 98 yards, 1 TD
Giants: 65 total yards
None of this is acceptable. It's the worst Giants team I've ever seen.
I am sure it sucks knowing whatever you do the other side of the ball won't do shit. -16 passing yards or something the beat writers are tweeting. This team is a dumpster fire.
Yeah, this has Jerry Golsteyn, really bad Norm Snead vibes.

It’s hard to really say if this is worse than that. I’m not sure that can be said, one way or another. Just, all so bad.

Don't agree. There was a totally unblocked free rusher.
Nagy would be a huge upgrade over Judge. Then again, so would a raspberry.
Don't agree. There was a totally unblocked free rusher.
They rushed 6 with zero deception. There were 5 blockers. The free rusher was the exact person it needed (far outside man to QBs frontside) to be and the QB has to recognize that.
We had Spags, Garrett, and McCarthy to choose from.
McCarthy is not a good coach.
What is there to praise? This team is a dumpster fire.
McCarthy fucking sucks too. They just have too much talent to fail.
Judge coaches these players...it was his decision to play them. He thought they were ready to play. He was wrong. He's been wrong for 2 seasons

Imagine being so insane that you’re willing to fuck up millions of dollars TIME AFTER TIME AFTER TIME.
He’ll never play again. I don’t think he’s mentally well.
Ooooh…. 100 yards!!!
TOTALLY!
I think he'd fit well with the Football Giants. Another clown for the carnival. - ( New Window )
The Giants are only a borderline NFL-level team.
Yeah, this is for the best.
After what the Seahawks did last week, I wouldn't be surprised. In fact, I'd expect it
You have got to be shitting me. Bradberry is fucking dancing with Reggie Ragland.
That’s part of the process and the culture building. Giants Pride baby!
“The offense is broken. I mean, the defense is broken… wait, is this an odd year, or even year?”
You have got to be shitting me. Bradberry is fucking dancing with Reggie Ragland.
Defense only thing to get excited about.
Fuck this culture. Fuck this loser mentality.
Brady bringing his team back against the Jets is nothing new.
You have got to be shitting me. Bradberry is fucking dancing with Reggie Ragland.
I honestly don’t blame them.
The rest of the team is like a bad high school squad.
You have got to be shitting me. Bradberry is fucking dancing with Reggie Ragland.
The REST of the team are fucking losers.
The defense gave a professional effort today despite having every reason not to from literally the first snap of the game.
No Giants player doing that this week will be Joe Judge’s moral victory of the week.
Sorry, bad. Glennon is 2/5 for 16 yards.
We find ourselves in a rare position to boast having the worst OL in football AND the worst QB in football on the field at the same time.
I have a low mileage car for sale. Owned by a little old lady who only used it to drive to church
So pathetic.
It shows they are still giving effort, stfu Grandpa.
Agreed.
Exactly. The offense is responsible for more of the Bears points than the defense.

Grandpa? Da fuck? FOH, you pathetic loser
I agree. I don’t love the celebrating in a blow out. But this offense is horrible and the defense is just trying to get some good tape for the league.
Yeah especially a guy trying to put out good film for next year. I got no problem with Jaylon celebrating after working for a sack.
He may be the best LB on the active roster.

Would you be happier if the defense just lets the bears walk in to the endzone. Cause then you would be bitching about that...
I don't know man, I've read he celebrates unnecessarily.

How about just playing hard and doing your fucking job?
Probably one of the ultimate homer posters who no longer post here anymore.
You don't celebrate like you won the Super Bowl, but you make sure the guy who made the play knows he did a good job

You are really clueless.

They are. The rest of the team is embarrassing the organization.

Easy positive reinforcement? They're losing by 26 POINTS. What? Are we trying to keep their spirits up?
You don't celebrate like you won the Super Bowl, but you make sure the guy who made the play knows he did a good job
this is why I just did not say anything. Most people dont understand that part.

Resigned.

What about Tim Hasselbeck?
I’d be okay with that if we got the first pick out of it.
This is somehow worse.

Glennon has plenty of time to get rid of it.
He’s chinless, brainless, gutless, worthless…..
I am too.
You have to. You have to laugh.
I know. It's ridiculous.

Absolutely!! He did that shit before as well. I HATE THIS TEAM

Does he have any internal clock?

And he runs like a giraffe
Just watching Thomas doing his job play after play, such a solid consistant player amongst a shower of shit....
Quinn got no change there, he needed to rush the other side to get his record.
Is he allowed the record bearing in mind who he was up against this game ?
Quote:
Let the defense be happy about something. Shows they are still trying.
Agreed.
I would GLADLY trade this mess for their situation.
Lawrence has been bad, but he’s still something. Plus, they’ll have the first pick.
And he runs like a giraffe
The neck creates too much wind resistance.

On the radio. They’re laughing.
Yep I 've been laughing every throw Glennon trys to make. Pathetic.
You have to. You have to laugh.
And Judge look clue less.
They did mention his shitty FG attempt that ended with a Devin Hester TD return
@ZackBlatt
Mike Glennon has made more than $30 million in his NFL career. Good for him.
✔
@JordanRaanan
This is a joke. Mike Glennon has 4 turnovers, 24 yards passing. The Giants legitimately can't throw a pass.
At least half of BBI would have been more productive than Glennon today.

Chase Daniel would be proud

LOL.
Stubbornness.
Hand in hand with Judge.
If Glennon comes out again I’m done until Judge is gone.
Mike Glennon is doing a bad job of hiding the exact same thing Tim Donaghy did.
It’s the only plausible explanation.
I'm so glad I missed wasting my time watching this shitshow today!
Unbelievable how far this team has fallen. I don't believe Judge is the guy to start to turn this around. I can't believe owners would have confidence in him coming back and building something here
My only answer is Jake Fromme was probably as bad in practice as he was in the game and the Giants hoped for the best once, but won’t do it again.
does it even matter? They would not lose even with a pick 6
And yes, Glennon sucks...but he didn't look like the worst QB of all time until he suited up for this shit show.

Mike Glennon was so bad today that I truly thought he must have money on the Bears.
Fucking Giants
Time.
And the comeback king.
Did we not want them to win for a better pick?
They are hiding him so they can sneak him onto the practice squad next season.
You know what? I believe this. The 4th down playcall was so bad it makes sense they wanted to turn it over
Will be picking 5th in the Draft!
WTF
